    Lots of booths!
    Erika R.

We used to frequent the Peruvian place at this same location and were super sad when they closed. When Tu chicken opened we decided to give it a chance and have come back again and again ever since! They always cook the yucca fresh to order so it's crispy and hot. The chicken js flavorful and moist and I think they have the best yellow sauce of all the Peruvian places around. We don't dine in, but the searing area is alclean and there's lots of booths available. They're fast and friendly every time we order!

this is at 6pm no chicken in the oven and no food on the display,

I used to come here very often when it was waku chicken. you couldn't beat the prices and food quality was good. Ever since tú bought out waku the food has been alright at that and has lost its care to even present food or serve hot fresh chicken (no chicken in the oven). I also can't seem to notice that as the food quality has gotten lower the prices have gotten higher. At this rate i'd rather drive down to elden and go to chicken rico for better quality food.

It's supposed to be Pollo Saltado Pollo Saltado

Stay away from the Peruvian dishes or learn how to make them. This was not even close. I would have eaten it but the res sauce was not good the peace's of chicken used were not fresh.

Drive around if you need to, and you'll eventually find the sign. Should you go through all that trouble to find the place? Umm, yes, because the sub I had here was really tasty and gave me a homey feel. It's family-run, and the staff was very friendly. If you are out of ideas for lunch and nearby, consider trying the subs at this place. You won't regret it. The thick double plastic bags are overkill, though. I wish they would use paper wraps and paper bags instead. Something to improve upon.

We both ended up liking this sub so much that we've now had it two more times. This sub consists of: "capicola, mortadella, pepperoni, Genoa salami, lettuce, tomato and provolone cheese." We got them with oil and vinegar and a sprinkling of salt and pepper. The second time we ordered 2 subs using Doordash. These subs came with the default toppings which are mayonnaise, onions and hot peppers. We both agreed that we prefer them with just the oil and vinegar plus salt and pepper. These subs are the best we've had. The bread is soft and fresh plus the family who owns the place knows how to assemble a sub so that everything is packed in well, thus making it easier to eat. All the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The family who runs it is very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised when we went there recently, since we were in the area, and decided to buy 2 subs to go, that the lady who waited on us when we first went there, remembered us! The one drawback---They are located in an office park. Thus their business hours correspond to regular work hours. On Thursday and Friday, they do stay open until 6 p.m. They are closed on the weekends. So...basically, it's a hidden gem. If you like subs, it's worth a visit or an order on Doordash. And, yes, we will be back!

Made Porchetta sandwiches for lunch and can't even explain how delicious the meat was. It was slices then and had great flavor. Oliver's has quite a selection of deli meats and cheese as well as high quality steaks, chops and sausages. The seafood looked very fresh as well. They had some really good looking Mahi Mahi filets that I am kicking myself for not getting, but in talking with the two guys behind the counter, it was just brought in that morning. Instead we got local chicken breast, which at about $7 per lb. Is pretty good for local chicken. Our CSA previously charged $10.99 a lb. And some pork chops to throw on the grill - they were nice thick cuts too! Their different beef cuts looked good and the one guy was talking about bringing in some A5 in the future (admittedly this was a conversation I was eaves dropping on so I don't have details -- but... something to look forward to???) They also have different prepared foods - apparently their shepherd pies were very popular this past week and sold out and they have shaved ribeye that we would have liked for cheesesteaks (alas! Also sold out) It was a Sunday so I am sure they were winding down inventory for the week, but if they are selling out - it must be good, right!?! Bottom line: knowledgeable and helpful staff & good, quality selection - wish they were closer to us, but we will be back anyway!

I'm glad I was with them, since the location is tucked away up the stairs and would be easy to miss if you are passing by. However, inside was very airy and spacious with many cozy options for seating. I ordered my chai with oat milk and a cinnamon roll from the friendly cashier. She asked if I wanted to warm my roll, and I agreed with the suggestion. Once we had our order, we headed to the couch to enjoy our brunch. The chai was delicious and had a nice peppery kick. It even came with a little cookie! I also really enjoyed the cinnamon roll, which was especially packed with spiced goodness at the warm center. I loved that everyone from studying students to large families could enjoy the indoor and outdoor space. Even with a fairly steady flow of customers, we were able to relax in the sunny couch area without feeling rushed. I would definitely return here for another chai and some breakfast in the future!

The cashier wasn't welcoming and seemed annoyed. The pastries were stale. The decor seemed tacky as well.
