Soup broth is really good! I never drink the broth at other places but it's the first thing I do here.

Love this place. My picky eater kids always live whatever we order here. Their home made hand shave noodle always cooked to perfection.

So happy I finally came here! It basically follows the idea of a hot pot restaurant but at pho prices! We have been here for a few times. It is a hole in the wall for sure in a run down strip mall but it is good food. They have several types of hand pulled noodles as well as other entries in case you are not a pho fan. You can pick your type of noddles, a meat, a broth and veggies. Huge portions and a good value. The service is decent. They leave you be unless they are bringing your food out which is fine. They have a little window into the kitchen so you can see the chef hand pull the noddles. More oodles of noodles! I'm already a fan of King Noodle in ID with the similar concept. It was a no brainer to check this place out. Except: this one comes with fresh hand pulled noodles. Swooon! Choose your broth: spicy, szechauan spicy, beef broth and so on. Noodles ~ so many hand pulled noodle options! yummm! For toppings, they have a ton of things to chose from like bbq duck, scallops, wood ear mushrooms, porn rinds, deep fried fish cakes, beef stew/braised beef, shrimps, wontons, clams , chinese chives to name a few! Two topping, two veggies and $1 extra for more. It's exactly like the ID one except this has more stuffs. Spinach noodles were interesting and good. Super tasty! Broth however was a ok. Like doesn't match the tastiness of the fresh noodles! We've also had their chowmein and it was super tasty! The noodles are amazing. If they weren't so far away from my house, I'd come back often. Now that the waiter there knows my face and order, I owe this wonderful new place a review. King Noodle is attached to the same building as the new Evergreen Asian Market and Lanna Thai in the old Wells Fargo Financial location, tucked behind the Payless Shoe Source. They just opened about a month ago and appear busy (but not too busy) every time I go there, regardless of it being right at noon or more towards three. Parking is pretty easy- the lot is big and nobody goes to Payless anymore anyways- so there's always plenty available. I prefer to park and walk a bit but the worst case scenario here is that you will walk 100-200 feet to your car. But that probably won't happen. You are greeted right away when you walk in the door by someone and are seated promptly. The very first time I ate here, the waiter (who is excellent) showed my table a video on his iPhone of the chef preparing the hand-pulled and hand-shaven noodles. I thought it was a nice touch. The waiter informed us that the chef was previously making noodle dishes in China for the last 20 years. The waiter also brought us out a piece of tofu skin when we inquired what it was (hard to describe, but it's a wrinkly slice of tofu. I don't know if it's pickled or not but it appeared to have the texture of something pickled or dried). There is a full menu of fresh Chinese food and there is the option to create your own noodle soup. I have not had the heart to deviate from the noodle soup because I go with what works. I took pictures of the entire menu and uploaded them to Yelp, in case you'd like to see it. There is a window in the middle of the restaurant where you can watch the chef hand pull and hand shave the noodles. That's my table- don't take it! Even if you don't get that table, you can witness the magic from other tables in the restaurant. There are some pleasant window tables where you can watch the parking lot or the beauty that is Evergreen Way. You are handed a piece of paper where you get to make your soup selections. There are four main types of broth- chicken, Szechuan (spicy), seafood and beef. I have tried all but beef and can confirm that the Szechuan is the best. It is spicy to the perfect level, where your nose might start running but you won't require an ambulance or a glass of milk. I haven't tried the beef broth because I don't like beef. Next are the noodle choices. You can choose between egg, vermicelli, udon, hand-shaved, hand-pulled, hand-pulled spinach, rice or instant noodles. I have tried the hand-shaved noodle (thicker with a chewier texture), the hand-pulled noodles (delicious, buttery soft and melt in your mouth goodness) and the hand-pulled spinach noodles (same as the hand-pulled, but more flavorful). My favorite are the hand-pulled spinach noodles, although I would gladly eat the regular hand-pulled or the hand-shaven noodles. Either way, the noodles are fresh and superior to any other noodle I have ever eaten. Next you get to choose your vegetables. You get to select two from the following: bean sprouts, bok choy, leek, Chinese cabbage and mushrooms. I'm big on texture and don't want crunchy veggies ruining the beauty of my noodles so I pick two orders of mushrooms every time. And I'm not changing. Finally, you get to choose two kind of meat. The selections are beef brisket, beef meat balls, pork skin, won-tons, fish balls, BBQ duck, tofu, shredded fungus, tofu skin, shrimp, deep fried fish cakes, clam, beef tripe, sliced pork, spicy pork skin, roast pork (i'm reading a menu, I didn't memorize this), fish fillet, cuttle fish ball, luncheon, BBQ pork, squid, sliced beef, seaweed and mussels. I have tried the BBQ duck (delicious, but it comes in a big chunk and is bone-in. You have to remove it from your soup and gnaw off the meat. It is well-prepared and flavorful), won-tons (IMHO, a bit much considering it always comes with noodles. The won-tons are shaped like bags of gold and contain identifiable beef. They are good but a bit much), and scallops. I always specially request the scallops because I saw them elsewhere on the menu and I love love love scallops. Tofu is a new addition and I'm excited to try it at some point, as long as it's fresh/soft tofu. As I mentioned, everything I have tried is excellent. The spicy Szechuan broth does go well with the scallops, which is something I was really worried about. In the beginning, we were given a large bowl of edamame with our meals, which was a pleasant surprise. I love edamame and ate so much that I once had leftover soup to take home with me. The next time we went, the bowl was smaller and when I went on New Year's Eve, I received no edamame. I don't know if I was forgotten or they do not serve it with their meals any more. I was really sad to not receive any. I hope I get some next time I come back. As aforementioned, the service is great. The waiter is really nice and remembers me whenever I go in. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT CAREFULLY, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT TO PAY! I used to like to eat at this place, but as of today they lost my business! I went here with a total of 4 adults and one baby (2 months old). The food was ok and the service was just terrible. Anyways, I went to the register to pay and the guy hands me a bill to pay $80 (not itemized). I went ahead and paid it and gave them a 15% tip, but it bothered me that it would cost that much for us to eat 4 bowls of noodle, one entree and an appetizer so I came back to the register and asked for an itemize bill. My bill as it turned out was only for $66, but he charged me a 20% service fee. When I asked him why he charged me that fee he said it was because my bill was over $50 and that a lot of ppl don't tip them so they automatically add it on. I told him that i find that reason ridiculous and I do not show anything on his menu, receipt nor anywhere in the place that there is a disclosure stating that. He then changed his story and told me it was because i had 5 ppl with me. I told him that the fifth person was a 2 mths old baby who slept the entire time! He said babies still counts as a person...crazy! Anyways, i told him that i find it misleading for him to charge his customer 20% service fee without disclosing it anywhere, regardless if it is 5+ ppl or that the food cost $50+, they should state it somewhere. Seriously, if I had known they had charged me a 20% service fee, i definitely wouldn't have given them an additional 15% tip!!!!!!!!!! The service was terrible! Either way, be very wary of this place because the 20% fee isn't on the itemize bill nor when you are signing your bill. You will ONLY see it if you ask them to reprint your bill and then it is broken down. I intend to call WA business bureau to find out if it is illegal for them to charge 20% without disclosing it to their customer. If so, i intend to file a complaint. If they would have disclosed this information about their service fee I wouldn't be so angry, but the fact that they did it so shaddy I will never come back. I read the review in our local paper, the Herald, back when this place first opened. The idea of an artisan noodle joint intrigued me. Waiting for the right time and February didn't disappoint - rain and cold call for hot noodle soup. Surprised my wife with a drive toward Everett along 99. Not much inspires along this drive, but there are so many little jewels of culinary delight along the way. At 78th Ave and Evergreen in Everett, King Noodle is just such a jewel. King Noodle has a multi-page menu, but I'm thinking I'll not change the page past the "build your own noodle soup" page. On being seated, we were given menus, and order cards for customizing a soup order. This is how it should be done. Soup card lets you select what kind of broth (we both went for the Szechuan spicy broth), noodles, vegetables, and meats to include, all at a fixed price. We both selected varieties of the hand pulled noodles, of course, as that was the original draw to try this place. Soups were out in about five minutes, all beautifully put together, fresh veggies all arranged and everything heated through. We had ordered salt-and-pepper squid as an appetizer, but they didn't come out until we were well into our soups. Which was fine - it is a noodle house, and waiting for your soup would be crazy talk. Soups were incredible. Szechuan spicy broth full of flavor, doesn't melt your face off. Just a bit spicy. Bowls absolutely packed with the noodles and fixings. Portions are large - I'm not a small man, and finished mine by fighting through it. Wife made a dent... and took the rest home. Floors and tables well clean. Service fast and with frequent contact. Appreciated that my tea cup never found its way to empty Overall - what you have here is an artisan noodle house. A new creation, but one that I think will become a family go-to for quick meals out. #OMG #FRESHMADENOODLES #HEAVENLYBROTH Seriously, a noodle house serving freshly made hand pulled noodles in the hood of Everett? Could this be real? Isn't the famed Casino Road a few blocks away? What, it's on Evergreen Way? After trying it for myself on a chilly evening after work, I can attest that shit just got real. Mind my language but this is good stuff, real good stuff. The broth is legit, with the right amount of saltiness & seasonings. I love that you can customize your bowl of noodles to your liking, from: the different noodles, types of broth, and varieties of vegetables & meats. They have the typical common offerings of egg noodles, vermicelli, and a pho like noodle. However, you must go with the fresh house made & hand pulled. You can choose from flat, thick, thin, or thin spinach. I chose flat noodles. The noodles really do melt in your mouth. There's a large glass window in the middle of the dining room where you can actually witness your noodles being made. And it is a real treat to watch these chef work the magic with their hands. They're skillful in their craft with such precision & speed. The amount of work, the strength they put into pounding & kneading the dough amazes me. I saw that the chef was wearing camouflage army pants; he means serious business. I recommend the Spicy Szechuan broth! Don't be afraid, as it is not overwhelmingly spicy. Heck, I can't even handle Sriracha chili sauce but this broth was lovely, with backnotes of chili & peppercorns. My nose was almost runny, almost... The meat was terrific! I opted for roasted duck, roasted pork, and won tons. I then kept it classy with chives & bean sprouts as vegetable options. The won tons were so so, they were simply standard but should have been more plump to provide more of that bite. But wait, the roasted meats were out of this world! Both were seasoned perfectly with five spice and the texture was on the spot. With every single ingredient so well executed, this bowl of soup felt like an orchestrated symphony playing in my mouth, as each flavor complimented another. You can get all of this for well under $8 to 9 bucks for a large, filling bowl. And they don't skimp on the ingredients. The menu had plenty of other dishes on the menu, from rice to stir fry noodles and many different entrees as well. The restaurant itself is very clean, the interior is spacious and simple, and the service was good. The waiters were very informative and kind. My prediction: handmade noodles will be the "it" thing in 2014. Tucked off to the side in an old strip-mall/Asian supermarket complex on gritty Evergreen Way, north of Hwy. 527 sits this gem of a noodle house that opened earlier this year and gets my vote for 2013 Best New Restaurant of The Year. The modern interior can seat about 50 guests and there's a window to the kitchen where customers can view their meal as it literally takes shape. Service is genial and responsive. If you don't know what to order, then ask. Your menu is a multiple-choice answer sheet where you design your meal so that there are no complaints whatsoever. For your first time, ALWAYS go for the handmade noodles, either pulled or shaved. This is as fresh as it gets and you will have a vested interest in watching the artistic chefs create your masterpiece. For soup choice, I would recommend the Szechuan Spicy soup over the chicken soup, if you can handle the heat. I chose the shaved noodle and I got that one right as there's just enough firmness to add to the pleasure of devouring what should be the region's best noodles. The hand-pulled is nice but if you want a signature noodle, then go with the hand-shaved. Add-ons should be: sprouts, bok choy, bbq pork, and sliced beef. The dumplings and wontons were good, but not decadent. The pork and beef are savory, tender, and meaty-licious on their own, but take on a third dimension in the broth with the noodles. This is a bowl with soul. You can taste the love that went into each morsel and sip for only $7.49! I consider this essential eating for the gourmand. read more

I wasn't feeling well so I felt like soup, Chinese soup! I saw this place by chance picking up some groceries at the market next door. I'm always on the look out for noodles. So a little after open I came by myself. The place was already fairly full. Most of the tables were lined along the walls and I'm pretty sure the 4 seater tables were the same ones PF Chang has. A waiter sat me down at a 4 seater and left me alone to look over the menu. I glanced their menu and noticed one of my favorite dishes, Singapore "vermicelli" or chow fun. I decided to myself I'll try it later at another time. I was also given a green sheet of paper. It went over ordering their 6.99 noodle soup. Two veggies, two meats, choose your noodles, broth and more condiments if you want. I picked chicken broth, spinach hand pulled noodles, wontons, BBQ pork, baby bakchoy and Chinese cabbage. A waitress came by not even sure if I had ordered or what but was quick to accept my order and move it down the line. I waited maybe 10-15 min. I really wasn't paying attention. I just noticed how a large group of people 10+ showed up. Their largest tables didn't fit them and there didn't seem to be enough staff. They were spread thin. I received a giant bowl shortly after the large group was settled. I tasted the broth and noticed it needed to be seasoned a little. I added soy sauce and a small thing of red pepper and oil to my dish and stirred around. The noodles were amazing! Fresh, chewy, yummy! No, they don't taste like spinach. But it's fun to eat green noodles. They tasted great! Nothing like ramen or spaghetti, or that wire-y thin noodles, and definitely not rice noodles like pho. I've had fresh hand pulled noodles before at a Korean restaurant in the PI, and it tasted so good! You. Can't replace the freshness of the noodles! It's also great to see the variation in noodles because you know it's hand made! The bakchoy and cabbage were great! The BBQ pork was authentic, so authentic I don't like it! Which means my Chinese in laws will probably approve. I'll choose another meat next time. The wontons weren't bad... But weren't exceptional compared to another restaurant near to me that also made fresh hand made wontons. So I don't know if I'll order them again. The amount of options is great! I'll be sure to try some tofu and other broths too. I can't believe I ate the whole bowl in one sitting! It's the same size as a dinner plate but a bowl. Come hungry! I marked a star because they could use more staff and better seating arrangements. There's no sign about seating or waiting to be seated so people were being rude and pushy about seating. So far as to insist on taking my free chairs at my table. Yes I'm not using them but I'm literally slurping noodles right now. Could you not disturb me? Then came back after they were seated some where that would fit them all and just casually put the chair back. Dude, gotta hang a "do not disturb" sign or something while I'm eating my food. I've always been obsessed with King Noodle in ID so I was pretty excited when I found out there was ANOTHER one!! I've been to the other King Noodle several times so when bae and I got to this spot, I was pleased to see that it's much more cleaner and spacious than the ID location. When we got the little paper menus I was surprised to see so many options! They offer a wider variety of noodles and add on's than the other restaurant which made me happy yet slightly overwhelmed at the same time since I'm pretty indecisive when it comes to food. I ended up getting the Szechuan broth with hand shaven noodles, leeks and mushrooms for my veggies, and wontons and beef brisket for my protein options. And you get a bang for your buck with their gigantic baby-bathing sized bowls for only $8ish. I always get the Szechuan broth because I'm a sodium inducing beast and like my foods spicy so this always hits the spot for me. And I love hand shaven noodles!! I feel like these noodz are a hit or miss with people but if you like your starch component thick and chewy- opt for these. I also like how they give you a big helping of whatever your meat option is. I honestly wasn't even able to finish all my food! My date also got the Szechuan broth but with wonton noodles (thin egg noodles) and BBQ duck for his meat and I liked his combo as well! All in all, this place is a satisfying choice for when you're craving a nice big bowl of steamy deliciousness plus they have an extensive option of sides and noodles for your soup dishes! If you guys have ever been to King Buffet in Renton, this restaurant is also owned by them! Lots and lots of restaurants are starting to take part in this sort of "make your own" meal menu. You choose your base soup, base noodles, 2 toppings, and 2 veggies in your noodle soup for just $6.99. The portions are pretty generous too so you know it's a good deal. On top of that, you can sometime also see the chef preparing your noodles freshly for you. My gf and I went there today and she wanted to see him pull some noodles, even though there were no orders, he still gave us a show because he knew we wanted to see one. I thought that was a very nice gesture from the chef. I've pretty much tried every single topping on the list and I gotta say....of all the options out there, I would always choose Deep Fried Fish Cake as one topping and play roulette with the other one. It's all preference though, but I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. read more

Everything we tried here had good flavor. Not sure why I got shrimp fried rice at a noodle house, but it wasn't bad at all. Serving may have been a bit small. The variety of noodles and options are great. I ate here with my family, and they all got custom noodle orders. My kid got an order of steamed dumplings and pot stickers; she loved them both. Only drawback is, and I usually deduct a star for this, having the owner's kid wait on your table. This happens a lot at Asian restaurants. You can't expect a teenager to want to hang out with their parents all night, and still provide great customer service. The girl actually spilled a water on another customer's iphone. Salt and pepper squid, huge portion, good batter, and seriously it was like they chopped up an entire squid for me. The Kung Pao chicken was different (very chopped up, like a chopped salad) so little bits of each veggie but it was really fresh and hot and the chicken was soft and tasty. It had very little heat to it, so if you like spicy you have to ask for it spicy. My wife's veggie and tofu dish was bursting with color and the veggies were fresh and the dish piping hot. Again, no spice, so tell them if you want spicy. We could choose our own table which I like doing. I wish I lived closer, this is a solid Chinese place with fresh ingredients. read more

As this place grows in popularity, it gets stingier and stingier with its serving, especially for the price of $8-9 for a bowl of noodles. I've eaten here over half a dozen times and have highly recommended it to people, but each time I come here, I get less and less food. This last visit I just had, will definitely be my last. The first few times I've eaten here, there was so much deliciousness in my bowl I could barely finish...and now, I can easily eat it all. Plus they got super stingy with their meat! I ordered BBQ pork and wonton in my soup and got 3 tiny wontons and 3 thinnn pieces of meat. The broth this last time was bland too. So I was CRAVING authentic, knock-your-socks-off ramen. The whole shebang, spicy creamy epic broth, good noodles, those eggs they marinate and cut in half, bamboo shoots, etc. Unfortunately, the yummiest looking place on yelp was 30 min away so my bf brought me here instead. The bring you a card where you can essentially make your own soup, just check off all the ingredients you want added. You get to pick the type of noodles, broth, meat and veggies. I would have rather just chosen a ramen soup from the menu but you had to make your own so I went with it. The soup was good...just not amazing, like ramen I've had before. Maybe I'm spoiled but the soup came across as pho instead of ramen. The broth was too transparent and not flavorful enough, all the ingredients I had weren't pre-seasoned or pre-cooked, they just threw them in there so it all seemed like a big boiling bowl of water and raw-ish vegetables. I had to add two spoonfuls of chile sauce and some sriracha to make the flavors meld together better. If you've ever had amazing ramen you know you don't really have to add anything to get great flavor, it's already there. All in all, a nice place, diverse menu, but by no means do they specialize in ramen. Yakisoba from the store would have tasted more authentic. read more

The shaved noodle were delicious but the chicken broth was more on the bland side of taste but I suppose a good complement based on the toppings of choice. I had ordered the fish balls, which were INCREDIBLY yummy. It was packed with flavor and it made me happy every time I bit into it. It's a MUST TRY! Overall, this is a great noodle spot that I would definitely visit again. And yes, I would perhaps choose it over pho, a noodle that can contain massive amounts of MSG. read more

I have yet to try all of their noodle soups (yes, I'm a big noodles fan!!), but the ones I have tried, never disappoint! Been noticing this little noodle resto for a couple of months as I often shopped at the next door grocery store. Finally decided to try it out after my sister checked in here and said it was good. My first visit I came with my hubby, cousin and my little girl. Upon entering we were greeted kindly and seated. The place was a bit packed...perhaps because it was saturday night?? Anyways...inside was smaller than what i imagined...and since it was a new place, i was expecting it looking nice and neat. But it looks just like other Chinese restaurants i've been to. No biggy though.. :) The soup was great..but wasn't something I would brag about. I had the soup with beef broth, egg noodle,meatball,beef brisket and some veggies. The broth was okay.. I prefer the schezuan broth because it was a bit more flavorful with a tiny bit of spiciness. I tried the hand pulled spinach noodle on a different day and my oh my.. it tasted better than any noodle i've had. Service was wonderful. The two guys in front were super friendly! Come with an appetite - their noodles are HUGE portions. It's fun to watch the chef stretch the handmade noodles through the glass window. You can customize your noodle bowl by choosing a broth, type of noodles, 2 meats and 2 veggies - $7 only! I highly recommend the spicy Szechuan broth which turned out to be fragrant and not overpowering spicy. I tried the hand-pulled spinach noodles which were great, but I like more bite to my noodles so I will definitely come back to try the hand-shaven ones! read more

Bar far my favorite restaurant in Everett. I have always been 100% satisfied. Cool place cool experience .

We now have a north-end favorite noodle place. We've been to King Noodle House 5 times in the past few months. You customize your noodle soup by selecting the broth, noodle, meat, & vegetables by checking boxes on a form. I highly recommend the hand-pulled egg or spinach noodle as they are freshly made at the restaurant. the pan-fried pot-stickers are delicious as well. My husband is a fan of the Mongolian Beef. Service can be iffy at times. On several occasions, one of our parties didn't get their food until everyone was almost done. Even with that, we still love the reasonably-priced authentic food and will continue to return. read more

A whole in the wall restaurant located in Everett, WA. After a long hike, my bf and I were craving some hot soup and happened upon this restaurant. The coolest part is they hand pull some of their noodles, which can be displayed through a window located towards the front of the restaurant. It was a fun experience choosing the type of broth, noodle, and toppings that would go into our individuals dishes. The flavor of the broth was a little light (in my opinion), since I was hoping for a more rich flavored broth. However, the noodles were very tasty! I prefer chewier noodles, so I ordered their hand-shaved noodles which look more like little chunks of noodles. I would definitely go back to try their other types of noodles, especially their spinach hand-pulled noodle! read more

I'm a big sucker for soup. I love, love soups of all kind! But sometimes I need a break from eating "pho". This is a good place to stop by and experience. From hand-made noodles being prepared right in front of me is a big "yes"! I came in here not expecting anything that will blow my mind but everywhere I turned around, ppl were nodding their heads "yes, this is really good". So, I ordered what I thought I might like and sure enough, I was sold. They have two menus: One for soups only and consists of meats, all sorts of veggies, and noodles they offer. I make my check marks on this paper as I'm putting my soup together on paper. Then, the server takes this list to the chef and voila! Also, they have this other menu of Chinese dishes that we are all familiar with and just order. Everything were delicious! I tried their spinach noodles with my choices of meats and veggies. My soup landed on my table super hot and so aromatic in the most delicious ways. (All smiles...) Last but not the least, they make their own fried donuts with their special condensed milk mixture sauce. So good... :-) Oh, I'm so gonna hurt tomorrow... !?! read more
