    The beard

Used to love coming here for special occasions or whenever I want to satisfy my seafood boil cravings. Today, I felt so disappointed. The restaurant smelled like the inside of a dirty fish tank. It smelled so terrible, I thought about walking out. After receiving the food, I noticed that the mussels were not de-beard and cleaned properly. The sauce tasted very bitter and didn't taste the same like the many times I've had before. Thought it was one of my favorite seafood boil restaurants, I probably won't come back here.

    Pho and combo 1

This was my first time here and it was really good, service was fast and food came out quick. The sauce we got was mild but it was still pretty hot. Wish it was a bit thicker but was really good. For the combo 1 is $41.99 and you get to pick 3 out of the 5 on the menu. The pho was good as well, I can tell from the broth it was made fresh in the morning. Parking lot if very tight but normally open a lot. Good spot check em out.

Ordered my food online and when I arrived they didn't even know there was an online order. So I waited 20 minutes to get the smallest overpriced portion of food. There was also an extremely long hair I found in it when I got home. Of course I ate it because I paid so much wait and waited so long I had no other options. But yeah pretty disappointing.

I visited this place while on vacation after seeing the awesome crab legs BLove on Facebook/YouTube had, sadly I was disappointed. First let me start by saying we arrived at 7:50pm, the establishment says it closes at 9:30pm. We were informed that they were no longer seating guests, that it was to go orders only. This was confusing as I saw ample staff members and several empty tables. I ordered to go. I got crab legs, shrimp (they do not sell headless only head on), and sides. Sadly, the crab legs were very skimpy/malnourished, as I got 3 clusters in a pound vs 1.5-2 clusters, which is typical in a pound if the crab legs are healthy, and meaty! I ordered rice, corn, potatoes and sausage. I was highly disappointed that I paid almost $4 for 6 little quarter sized pieces of sausage. The corn was decent and the rice was to expectation. Lastly, the sauce. It had an odd sweet flavor to it. Not my cup of tea. Happy I tried it, but will not be returning as I didn't really enjoy it and despite having ample staff and available seating, dine in options weren't available with over an hour and a half left of operating hours.

That kind of freaked me out though. I don't like cucumber, so i took the cucumber out of the sushi, and i didn't finish an egg roll because it was too chewy (not crunchy at all). That didn't seem to be a problem. I didn't try everything. I liked the noodles I got. The sushi was decent (I had the cooked sushi). They had a nice selection of desserts. My friend said she'll come back with her kids. I don't think I will. I'd rather have everything cooked fresh. The fried things I tried (gyoza and eggrolls) were too chewy, they didn't taste bad, but the texture was off. The exception was the rangoons, they were crispy. The desserts were ok. The best was the prepackaged ice cream. I'm glad i tired l tried it. It looked like the families with kids were really enjoying it. I'm sure, as a kid, I would have too.

The only reservation we could get was 4:30PM but we were excited we were able to get in at any time. Because of the timing, the sun was setting over the water, which was really pretty to see. I got a little confused with where to enter the building and I guess I went in the wrong way because I walked down the dock and entered the back of the restaurant by the restrooms, lol. Barnacle Bud's had a cool decor vibe and moody lighting. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and you could tell she was very excited about the menu and the pop-up experience. She provided exceptional customer service- she went over the menu thoroughly, came back to check on us multiple times, and always refilled our water, which I always appreciate! To start, we ordered wine and the relish tray. Everything on the relish tray was a little too vinegary for me but most of the table enjoyed it. However, the four of us didn't finish it. It was pretty powerful with vinegar flavor. For an entree, I had the salmon with veggies and my friends ordered the lamb chops, carbonara, and a vegetarian friend ordered a plate of Bud's potatoes and veggies. The food was good but I thought mine was very salty. And I'm glad I ordered my sauce on the side. For dessert, the four of us shared the mousse, which had good flavor and texture. Also to note, there were up-charges for veggies, sauce was $3 extra, etc., so just pay attention to pricing if that's a concern for you. Overall, it was a unique experience and worth checking out.

My date had requested during the reservation to be seated by a window but they had us seated at a rounder and bigger table that felt a little goofy for two people to be seated in. But we asked our server, Aracely, if we would be able to move to the window seating and they helped arrange that for us. We decided to order the Crispy Fried Berkshire Pork Belly as our starter and the Grilled Whole Mediterranean Branzino and the Seafood Pappardelle as our main entrees. For drinks, we decided to get the cranberry kiss. Surprisingly, both of our dishes were pretty filling! The seafood Pappardelle, had lobster, scallops, shrimp, and octopus. It was on the heavier side, but the noodles that they paired with it, was absolutely amazing. The Branzino was nicely grilled, but wasn't dry on the inside. I was indifferent with the chimichurri sauce that was paired with it but the smashed potatoes and grilled asparagus was delicious. Overall, very delicious entrees.

From the happy hour menu, I also ordered the Halibut Fish Fry and the Shrimp Cocktail. The Shrimp Cocktail had a sweet and chili cocktail vinaigrette, which I really enjoyed. From the dinner menu, I had the Kale Cashew Caesar, Lobster Pot Pie, and the Ora King Salmon. To my surprise, the star of the show was the Kale Cashew Caesar, which staff recommended. What made this dish so special was the generous mound of shaved Gran Moravia piled on top, complemented by lemon breadcrumbs. The combination and texture was so fun to eat. The Lobster Pot Pie is offered at market price ($55 when I went). They give you generous chunks of butter-poached lobster tails, seasonal vegetables, lobster cream in their truffle puff pastry. The Ora King Salmon was also delicious. Salmon was cooked perfectly--light and moist. I enjoyed the black garlic gnocchi and the apple gastrique that came with this dish. I really like this place because it has an upscale decor done in a nice way with a long elegant bar, hi tables next to the bar, big booths, big wrap around windows with elegant light fixtures. I was started chips/salsa and I ordered a multi colored margarita. The chips were thin/fresh but not seasoned. The salsa was good with avocado chunks and some nice heat finish. The multi color margarita was thick and ok but it lost it self with all the flavors in one large glass. I would order the combination plate with one taco, enchilada and tostada with choice of meat that comes with rice and beans. Service was ok and my food came quickly and it had a nice presentation on a rectangular plate. The ground beef enchilada was cheesy but fairly bland. The steak taco was not seasoned very well either but it had tiny diced skirt steak with a char grilled flavor and very good, the tiny diced meat was genus because none of the meats will be chewy and hard to eat. The tostada was Al pastor with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and cheese that was good with a sweet taste in the pork. The beans were super thick topped with cheese and the rice was perfect for mixing with the beans and topped with hot sauce. Overall was it the best Mexican restaurant no because I like more seasoned food but it was good and better than average. Even though I forgot to review it on my first visit I did remember that the margaritas were big and I did enjoy the food.
