Laughing Crab serves seafood boil in bags. I ordered 4 pounds of clams homemade juicy and extra spicy. I was excited to try Laughing Crab because the restaurant has phenomenal Google reviews and I am new to Milwaukee. I eat seafood boil all the time. I eat seafood boil at least once a week. I have tried seafood boil in Orlando, Cleveland, Columbus, Los Angeles, San Diego, New York City, Syracuse, Akron, Kent, Charlotte, and Atlanta. Depending on your location, the seafood boil will taste different. In Orlando, the seafood boil is savory and sweet. In Los Angeles, the seafood boil has a strong garlic flavor. Regardless of the different flavors, my experience is great! The average price for seafood boil varies depending on the location. In Cleveland, the price of clams ranges from $10.00-$11.00 a pound. In Los Angeles, the price of clams ranges from $10.00-$11.00 a pound. At Laughing Crab the clams are $12.00 a pound. This price is extremely inflated. The size of the seafood boil bag (pounds) and the price do not correlate. The customer service was below par. The restaurant did not have proper social distancing guidelines and rules. I watched several customers come in close contact with each other. Also, several customers entered the restaurant without face masks. This could expose and spread COVID to vulnerable populations. Still, I had hope. I thought that the food must be excellent since it cost so much and the reviews on Google are excellent. Instead of pure satisfaction, I was overwhelmed with disappointment. The sauce tasted like pure butterfat. I ordered extra spicy and my order was not spicy at all. I did not taste a mix of flavors. After forcing myself to eat it because of the price, my hands were coated in butter. The next morning, I had a stomach ache and I could still taste the excessive butter. Overall, I would not recommend the Laughing Crab because the food is below par and the price is too high.

The interior was very cozy and cute. They have a "larger" seating area next to a smaller nook-like room by the bar. The bar area, had shelves of tin fish, wine, cookbooks, and sauces that you could buy. I only got their oyster shooter and the oysters. I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't a fan of the oyster shooter but mostly because I'm not the biggest fan of bloody Mary's. The combo was very interesting to say the least. The oyster that came with the shooter was pretty big but a little grainy. The yappy hour oysters were perfect and fresh. They came with three different sauces and lemons (I think a pickled onion, a green sauce, and a red one.) Just as fast as it came out, they were gone! The food, ambiance, and service was great. Definitely will come again!

St. Paul Fish Market is located inside the very busy and popular Milwaukee Public Market indoor shopping complex downtown. It reminds me of the Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle. The only parking option that I am aware of is metered street parking. The building has 2 levels but the 1st floor is where most of the business are. It appeared to me that St. Paul's is the most popular business there. It is a seafood restaurant and fresh fish market. They have a small sit down area for table service dining or you can order your food to go at the counter. After being seated and reviewing the menu I decided to order the same meal I had over 11 years ago. I went with a bowl of clam chowder for $8 to start and then added a fried grouper sandwich ($16) with french fries for another $2.50. The chowder was perfect. Flavorful, delicious and I wanted more (5). The sandwich also was delicious and satisfying made with quality fish, lettuce, tomato, and bread. However while it tasted very good halfway through eating it the bread bun started to disintegrate and then quickly turned to mush before I could finish. Then I needed a fork to finish it. It got messy and I don't like that in a sandwich. It's only for that reason I give an overall 4 score instead of a 5. The french fries were very good tasting too but I had ordered too much food and only had room for a few of them. The table service was very warm and friendly. I believe St. Paul's is a very good choice for a casual seafood meal but please buy more sturdy buns!

We arrived early and were told seating begins ad 5:00 if you would like to go to the bar.... Went to the bar and had a martini and a glass of wine. Well we knew it was not going to be cheap but I was a bit floored by the tab of $45 with tip and a charge for using a credit card. We were taken to our table which was at the back of the restaurant with a beautiful view and relatively quiet... perfect. Put our orders in with a very nice waitress: Me: 3 Oysters, Caesar salad, Lobster Tails Glass of wine Wife: Chopped Salad, LobsterTails, wine BTW. I love to have wine with a meal and enjoy it by the bottle. However in looking at their Wine Book they essentially triple the cost of a bottle. So to have a bottle of champagne was going to put us out over $150 .... for a cheap one. It was offered by the glass for $28. Bread was very good but with cold butter. Hate that. Chopped salad got a very high mark from a salad critic (wife) and my Caesar not so much. Get the one at Cooper's Hawk. for a comparison. The Lobster was great. $74 seems a lot until you go out and but anything comparable. The serving was generous and well prepared. A complimentary desert was offered and it was Chocolate and Hazelnut. VERY highly recommended. My mind had been set on Key Lime Pie so we had that too. Bottom line: $45 bar + $264 dinner+ $61 tip +$10 parking = $380 Would we do it again. Maybe but it was expensive. Oh I forgot there was a $5 charge for using my credit card. Good Grief!!

With a lot of variety and friendly service, this definitely is a great go-to place. My Mom and I came here for a light dinner and ordered the crab cake and mussels appetizers as our entrees. Thinking that wouldn't be enough food, we added the arugula beet salad. Everything came out pretty quickly, and the mussels portion and salad were enormous. Each dish was excellent. The mussels, a recommendation by our helpful server, were especially good - the mussels were cooked perfectly, without an unopened mussel in the bunch, and the white wine-garlic-fennel broth was seasoned well and had the classic flavor I was hoping for. The only miss was that the bread provided was only barely toasted and a little chewy. The salad was a wonderful surprise: dressed properly with a nice vinaigrette, it had toasted pepitas, creamy goat cheese, fennel, and beets that were not overly earthy. My Mom enjoyed her crab cakes, which had a bit of a spicy kick. I wanted a little dessert and chose their Door County cherry ice cream. I would strongly recommend leaving room for it. It had a fantastic, creamy texture, tasting homemade. The ice cream itself had a natural flavor of almonds with a hint of cherry, was studded with dark chocolate and cherry pieces, and topped with a cute fish-shaped cookie. One of the best ice creams I've had. Like the food portions, it came as three big scoops, so it's good for sharing. The atmosphere is casual and fun, though be prepared for a pretty high noise level when it's full - not from music, but from everyone having a great time with friends and family. I'd recommend getting a reservation, and they're conveniently on OpenTable.

Wings were delicious and super crispy, just like I ordered. The burgers, although they were good, they were small for $18. Fries were decent, but a bit on the greasy side. Took 2 stars off because we waited 45 minutes for our food, when we were told 20 minutes, the burgers were small for the price and they charge an automatic 18% gratuity even for carry out ( I don't mind dine in). Also the girl at the front didn't seem too knowledgeable about the menu. Although I'm not a big fan of The Q, I would definitely go back for Crab It Your Way.
