The food is good but the dine-in service is TRASH. I'm not saying they are racist BUT my dad and I who are Black were the only ones sitting down when we ordered. However 3 customers who arrived and ordered several minutes after us got served before we did. I literally had to ask them where our food was and then they promptly brought it out. So it was clearly sitting in the back ready to be served and they just chose to serve the other customers first. We won't be coming back. Maybe I have really high Thai food standards because living in Portland spoiled me. The staff were extremely friendly, prompt, and helpful. The food was good and definitely satisfied my Thai cravings but I wouldn't say it's better than Portland. There are a few I would say are a little better than this one but decently priced and still worth going. Plus they have a hefty happy hour menu if you don't want to spend the money. The wonton were good but I wouldn't get them again. The Khao SOI Gai and the Hot Basil were much better. The chicken in the Khao SOI Gai was extremely moist, tasteful, and flavorful. The hot Basil was good but I would have wanted more Basil in it. The fried egg had a nice runny yolk as well. I would definitely get these two again but I would want to give this place another try for other dishes. read more

Family and I were in the post New Year funk, and decided to have take-out. We had Korean, Japanese, Indian, and Vietnamese already. What else is there to try? We opted for the new Thai restaurant in Thrasher's Corner. It's too far for Grubhub (what?), so we sent someone to pick ip the food. First of all, Kin Dee Bothell packaged the food really well. No spill during the drive. Some dish came in compartment boxes to be mixed at serving. They were both clean and aesthetically pleasing. Based on Yelp review, we ordered Fried Pork Belly, Panang Curry with Duck and Chicken khao soi. They were new to us but delicious. Pork Belly was deep fried. Tasted like popcorn, and a great appetizer. Duck was boneless, sliced 1/2" thick with a bone-in drumstick. Each bite was with rich coconut curry taste without gamy or dryness. Chicken Khao soi was a little messy. Without instruction, we consulted internet to assemble soft rice noodle into the curry then topped it with crispy egg noodle, then served with rice. Both were 3 stars but no one complained they were too spicy. Our Thai favorite, Pad Kee Mao and Fried rice did not disappoint. We especially like Pad Kee Mao with 3 star heat. It was gone within minutes. To our surprised, their black sticky rice dessert was very delicious. I don't know what's the black magic delicious in the pudding, but it was bowl licking good. I'd describe this as a high-end but authentic Thai street food inspired restaurant. First impressions: difficult parking (I drove around for about 10 minutes), very clean and nicely decorated, great service, easy-to-read menu, loved seeing the cooks and staff speak Thai, and catered to westerners. I heard about this place through Amazon Daily Dish. One of my coworkers ordered the kao ko moo and it smelled amazing. I initially thought she ordered from a Taiwanese restaurant, but I was wrong! Kao ko moo is pork belly served over rice with a side of pickled vegetables. I ordered the same thing and was thoroughly impressed. However, if I could offer a suggestion for improvement, it would be to not put so much sauce under the rice because it was quickly absorbed and got soggy/overly salty. My boyfriend ordered the tofu pad thai and it came with the egg noodle on top, which reminded me of my trip to Thailand. It looked pretty authentic - even pale in color but packed with flavor like that pad thai in Thailand. I had some samples of his order and it had a lot of wok flavor which really impressed my palette. Overall, everything we ordered was tasty but on the higher-end of what I'd typically pay for Thai food. But considering the location and cleanliness of the space, I'd come back here. read more

They were immensely hospitable, despite a lot of people were swift in their service and ensured that we were attended to. We ordered a few things: 1. Terrible customer service!!! I went in order take out and went to ask them how much longer are the food coming after waited 40 minutes. The first server said she's going to check and never came back, the second server went to check and came back said "not done yet" with a really bad attitude. Then I ask him "so do you know about how long will it take? He: "I can lied to you and tell you 10 minutes, but I will be a lie." WHAT THE HECK??? What is their problem? A tantalizing aroma greeted us as we walked into this small, friendly, stylish, new Thai restaurant. We ordered fresh rolls, mushroom larb and hot basil with chicken. All were tasty and different from other Thai in Seattle. Two stars was, in our semi-adventurous spirit, plenty hot. All of the other dishes coming out of the open kitchen (and the place was pretty busy on a Monday night) looked delicious - especially the roasted half chicken. Two suggestions: put ice in the water served at table and provide lettuce leaves big enough to make wraps from the mushroom larb. Worth a trip. read more

Went to their soft opening, and ended up really enjoying it! So, I am excited for their real opening. The dishes are flavorful, and not too spicy - we went on the safe side and got level 2s, but next time I would easily go for a level 3-4 since I do like it a little spicy. This is one of my favorite Thai places in Seattle! I usually order takeout since I live nearby, but everything I've gotten has always been delicious. I'd recommend the drunk noodles, pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, and salmon curry, but I also don't think you can really go wrong. I also really love their Thai iced tea for a refreshing drink! I love the vibes of the restaurant when I have eaten there; it's cozy but still well decorated. Additionally, the staff is always amazing, whether I'm dining in or taking out. I got the khao soi and the basil with crispy pork and it was so good! The khao soi was so flavorful and the pork was surprisingly crispy even though it's covered in all of the sauce. I shared this with one another person and we both were so full by the end of the meal. They definitely don't skip out on portion size! The service here was good and they even had plexiglass(?) separators between each table so very covid safe! It's a small place underneath an apartment. They still have some things to work out I think as a newer restaurant. When we went the other week they took our order pretty quick but no food, no food, no food. We asked about it and the waiter gave us some explanation but it was very hard to understand him and he went away and still no food. Another woman came and spoke with us maybe more of a supervisor or manager and explained that they had a new chef. I'm not sure that explains why other tables were getting their food before we were and even close to finishing. The manager did redeem them some by offering a discount off our meal so we will try them again. I also wonder if it is how they prioritize meals and not just the chef. They had a ton of phone orders going out when we were first seated so maybe they are so swamped they mis ordered the food intake or something. I always drive by here on the way to work so I stopped in on my way back home to Shoreline one Friday for some take out and I wasn't impressed. As more of a boutique thai restaurant, I thought it would be better than your average neighborhood thai restaurant but that wasn't the case. I would choose thai restaurants in Shoreline over here. I ordered pad see ew and mango sticky rice. The pad see ew didn't have a strong sweet soy sauce taste so that was underwhelming and the mango sticky rice still had the mango meat attached to the skin... like what? I wasn't expecting to have to work to eat the mango. On the bright side, the decor is soooooooo cute! If you're into that, I would pay it a visit. But there are so many other thai places in cap hill that I would recommend over this one. read more

Oh my gosh yummmm. Dare I say they have the BEST Pad Thai? My boyfriend and I got takeout, but the space is quite open, clean, and modern (although not large)... unlike many Seattle Thai spots. We ordered our Wednesday evening dinner via phone and it was ready within 15-20 minutes. The space was pretty full for a week day, although there didn't appear to be a wait for a table. The kitchen is open, which I always enjoy at a casual spot, and the ceiling is high, making the smallish space seem more, well, spacious. The employees seemed nice enough, just based on our brief interaction. Now on to the food!! So I normally don't order Pad Thai since it usually sucks (for lack of a better word) but their version definitely seems more authentic and is super duper tasty. The dish includes a fairly large serving of thin rice noodles tossed in a tamarind sauce, topped with crushed roasted peanuts, green onion, bean sprouts, lime, and a lacey egg "net" ($12.95). I got the tofu version (it came fried) and had enough leftovers for a whole other dinner hooray! Now I'm a pretty big eater too, so that's saying a lot. Two stars wasn't spicy at all, but I didn't mind. Most Pad Thais I've had are way too sweet and overly sauced but the balance of flavors and textures here was on point. Oh and the recyclable plastic container it came in seemed to hold the heat decently well. The veggie Fresh Roll appetizer ($7.95) was tasty as well. The raw(ish) rice paper rolls were filled with avocado, red leaf lettuce, cilantro, shredded cabbage, carrots, and cucumbers, and served with a small container of peanut sauce as well as a small container of sweet chili sauce. I usually loveee peanut sauce but might have prefered their chili sauce a bit more. This appetizer serves about 2, or 4 if you just want a taste. My boyfriend really enjoyed his Panang Curry with chicken but it was quite pricey, coming in at almost $18 before tax. Otherwise I'd probably award another star. He had some leftovers as well and agreed that we will have to go back for more soon! read more

They have a rocket espresso machine and an amazing selection of alcohol from Suntory to blueberry/hibiscus infused vodka. Do try their summer cocktails , they are noice. We had the fish cakes, Hoi tor and the minced pork with rice. The food was delicious. We also asked for the spice caddy which had 3 spices and it took the food to the next level. The solace can seat about 20-30 people. Gets a good crowd of walkins and takeouts. They are pretty busy. Slows down a bit after 8. Plenty of parking in the streets. I came in for Happy Hour on a weekday, and it wasn't crowded at first, but started to get packed around 7:00PM. The service here was good, and they were great about taking our order when we looked ready, and checking up on us during the meal. There wasn't anything that we really wanted from the HH menu, and if you order off of it, you must order a drink of $4.00 of more, which we didn't plan on ordering. The menu has a ton of options from appetizers, to noodles, curries, rice, and meat dishes, as well as drinks and desserts. The menu itself is very pretty also! We ended up ordering the Money Bag (fried wonton w/ shrimp, fish, onion, corn, peas & carrots), the Kao Soi Gai, and Hot Basil entree. The Money Bag appetizer was really good at first-I loved everything wrapped in the wonton, but once we let them sit for just a little over 5 minutes, the wonton got hard, so when I bit into it, the shell was hard and cracked. Just a note to eat those up as quick as possible! The Kao Soi had a creamy, thick texture and nice spice. The chicken was amazing-perfectly juicy and tasty from inside to out. I do wish it came with more noodles, because I feel like they got lost in the dish. Lastly, we ordered the Hot Basil entree with minced pork. I liked the flavor a lot. It was spicy and juicy, and the rice was great. It isn't the best I've had, but I would order again. I love Thai food, and as for Thai restaurants in the area, it's someplace that caught my eye as someplace to try. I would want to go back to try other things on the menu, but the dishes we got this night, are ones that I would order a second time. read more

This corner restaurant always catches my eye when I drive on 23rd. When I finally came in, my expectations were surpassed. The interior was brightly lit with the natural sunlight through tall windows and the interior decor was visually appealing. They have fun cocktails and the portions are huge. Walked in after being unable to find some place near the arboretum. It was the only place open at the time. It turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise. I got a Guay Tiew Hang which kind of reminded me off a Khao Man Gai. It was a tad bit too salty which seemed to be a common opinion of other dishes ordered by the party. Portion sizes were average. Server was really nice. I also got a Butterfly Peas Limeade Soda which was a bit gimmicky (it's a purple-gradient colored drink), but it tasted really good. COVID takeout and delivery. Ordered online with GrubHub, set a time, and it arrived perfectly on time. I got pad thai with crispy pork belly, eggplant with fried tofu, and pineapple curry with duck and brown rice. The food arrived, portions looked small, but we're large when I dug in. I pulled out a WHOLE pineapple wrapped in saran wrap--I did not expect that at all! Pineapple was cored out and the fresh pineapple was used generously in the curry. Duck was a bit tough, but all in all, delicious. My only negatives, pad Thai was also pretty dry, esp next day when I reheated...and I received white rice not brown, which I was charged for. I overlooked...because takeout and not eaten in, like PRE-COVID, so I was ok, and food really was yum. I will definitely try again. read more
