Kin Dee - Kao ka moo! One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Seattle. Make sure to ask how you eat this dish from your server :) - Thai Near Me - Seattle, Washington

My partner and I tried this restaurant on a Friday night. When we walked inside the place and there was no one hosting us. Finally a staff from their open kitchen came out and seat us after nearly 10 mins of standing in the front. After we sat down for 25mins. One girl came to our table to take our order. Then 30mins later the food finally came but they kept sending to the wrong tables. When we started eating. I realized they forgot to put some ingredients and I had to chase a person who was delivering food about my missing garlic. The food itself was not bad. The service was terrible. Not sure if this is a new way of pandemic service style or just this restaurant. My partner and I were pretty disappointed. read more

My first and last time coming here. One of the chefs was wiping and scratching his nose with his whole pointer finger and didn't even wash his hands before he went back to preparing the food. No gloves or nothing. I also ordered to go and watched as a chef went to the waitress to tell her my order was ready, and then proceed to package my food his self because she didn't get up to put it in the bag. When I went to pay I told the waitress about the chef and she assured me that the employees all wash their hands. But the kitchen is very open and I have perfect vision and I was hoping he might wash his hands but he never did. Nor did she bring up the issue with him after I brought it to her attention. He continued to cook and touch peoples food while she stared at me dumbfounded. It was a sort of gross and annoying experience. As usual, it's best to order and dine in because the to go orders are relatively smaller in portion than the meal should be. Again, I chose my order based off a recently cooked meal at the counter... so I was disappointed that my proportions were not the same because I ordered to go. I'm not sure why I came to this gentrification-era place anyways. I won't be coming back though. read more

Kin Dee is mind-blowingly good! I wish I could rate it 10 stars! I'd driven past a bunch of times but finally stopped in a couple weeks ago. Now I've been back 4 times! Everything I've had has been so delicious, with some fancy flair. Beautiful presentations, huge menu, including a vegan duck noodle dish - Pad woon Sen! Lots of vegetarian/vegan options, actually. The portions are large, the staff is wonderful, the decor is very welcoming and hip. The Pad Thai is excellent, of course. The Money Bags are perfect and crispy. They Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mow were flavorful and outstanding! I had never seen Mushroom Larb on the menu, and it was fantastic! Crispy and tangy. I can't wait to try everything! read more

Kin Dee is a fantastic spot near Central District / Madison Valley. The food has always been really good - service can sometimes be challenging due to Covid, influxes of online orders, and limited seating, etc but the staff always gets in done the right way. read more

Worst Thai food experience in the city - food was pretty bad, and I reached out to the owner to see if I could get some form of reimbursement or complimentary dish to try again and never heard back. Waste of money. Won't be returning. Drinks were good though! read more

Got takeout recently from Kin Dee and loved everything we ordered. Plus it arrived fast, correct and piping hot! Would recommend for Thai food in Seattle if you're in the mood, plus they have some more unconventional (dare I say authentic?) menu items as compared to other places. read more

This restaurant is actually pretty good with its menu. Brand spanking new in the neighborhood of Central Seattle District, you'll enjoy a meal with friends / family / S.O. in the intimate yet modern vibe restaurant. Service was good with attentive staff, and my Pad-See-Eew was perfect. I had no complains! read more

Best Khao soi I've found in the city! Street food eats are also incredible, as well as the garlic green beans. Cannot go wrong with this spot read more

Stayed in the neighborhood and ate dinner here. Super fresh and amazing flavors. Went with another couple and we all ate each other's food. Super good and the presentation was also charming. I would definitely order take out if it was busy because it's small but we went off peak hours and got a spot. Yummy!!! read more

Kin Dee - Pad Thai super yummy and beautiful. Served hot and the extras on the side so you can mix in how much you want - Thai Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Great new Thai spot in the 'hood. Ordered take-out: 1) Pad Ke Mao / Drunken Noodles with Pork (4-Stars) - a wonderfully flavored dish with charred pork and all was well seasoned. My only recommendation would be to add broccoli - there was peppers (red and yellow), tomatoes and basil. 2) Hot Basil Chicken (4-Star) - delicious with a flavorful sauce - this dish came with a portion of white rice complementing all the ingredients. I love spice and didn't think 4-Star was hot enough but that's pretty consistent from most Thai restaurants I visit - I'm bumping up to 5-Star next time. Cool ambiance - next time we'll dine in as the decor is warm and staff friendly. Beware though - parking can be tricky. read more

Not like any Thai place I've ever been. I ordered they "hot basil" which was supposed to be like a gra pow or something. That usually has thai chili in it, so I was looking for a kick. It wasn't spicy at all. The sauce mostly consisted of fish sauce and sugar. I'm not a guy who loves spicy food, I can't even take a jalapeno, but this dish had 0 spice. The service was nice and rather fast, but the food didn't do it for me. I guess if you're looking for a more American-friendly pallet, this place would do the trick. My girlfriend got the pumpkin curry which was a little more flavorful. I would suggest that over the other rice dishes read more

A fancy place this ain't but the food was pretty great. It's low key with a couple of TVs showing sports and also weirdly a show reel of pictures of their dishes. We did have to wait 10 mins for a table even though we'd made a res so not the best start but food came out super fast after we sat down. Fresh spring rolls were very fresh. Came with a sweet chili sauce and a peanut sauce which did not look homemade but I could be wrong. Anyway sauces weren't anything special but it was a nice app. I had the pumpkin curry after that which was really excellent. A nice spice, fresh vegetables cooked al dente, nice tofu pieces and a rich sauce. Yum! read more

Very disappointing experience. This restaurant is clearly not familiar with customer service. We ordered two chicken pad thais for take-out and received two orders of pad see ew instead. Luckily we live nearby, so we returned after realizing we had been given the wrong order. The staff took the wrong orders from us and had the nerve to ask us to pay an additional $2 (the difference in price between the two meals). We lost 20 min of our day, having to return after the restaurant made the error and wait for the correct meals to be made. The fact that we had to pay an additional $2 was absolutely unacceptable. Will not be returning, or recommending this restaurant to anyone. Such a shame, as we live one block away. read more

Tom yum noodle soup was amazing! We also ordered the pad see ew but only recorded a video. Bringing out a beer mug in the freezer was a bonus read more

Fantastic customer service! I placed an order through GrubHub because I was *just* outside of their website's delivery range; because of this, I think there was an interface issue that caused an issue with my order, which happens, but I was SO impressed with the Kin Dee response to making it right!! The woman I spoke to on the phone was very sweet and apologetic, and went WAY above and beyond!! Being that this was my first time ordering, it definitely made a customer out of me! Things go wrong in any business, but I think you can tell so much by how they respond, and Kin Dee clearly cares about quality and their customers!! The mango sticky rice was DELICIOUS and the pad kee mao and spring rolls were good, but the customer service (and sticky rice) is what will keep me going back! read more

love the food and happy to see a great spot openup that is walking distance from our house. but if I can make a suggestion.... We drive by your restaurant every day on Madison Street. Your open sign is really hard to see (we had the same one at our store, but replaced it due to poor visibility) and due to the window tint, space appears to be closed. I would hate people to not noticing your restaurant during the day... read more

I have yet to try out all their different dishes but so far the Khao Soi here makes me misses home. Khao Soi here in Seattle that I have tried so far in various Thai restaurant is usually a hit or a miss. Meaning they are either too catered for the taste buds of Americans here or that they are very authentic. Kin Dee 's Khao Soi for me taste like as if I am ordering the dish back in Bangkok. My friend oredered the pork belly stew over rice and from the looks of it, the sauces are very authentic. A Thai dish is only as good only when it's dipping sauces are on point and at Kin Dee you will find it as if you are back in Thailand. The presentation of their food is over the top meaning that you won't likely find these dishes being served in that manner back in Bangkok however the Thai chef here has skillfully managed to add that artistic touch to their presentation. I would highly recommend for those wanting to try out authentic Thai street food to give Kin Dee a try. Also as for dessert they have this coconut ice cream which makes it even more homely than ever. Interior wise, you are likely to find a modern touch inside however the thai radio that's been playing makes you just feel like as if you are at a restaurant in Thonglor district back in Bangkok. read more

Another Thai place around the Central/Madison/Madrona/Cap Hill area. It's not bad. Clean, good portion size, not too over-priced... but it's tasty as well. I always compare Thai food to how I remembered it when I was traveling around Thailand; and this is not bad. Lol. Not fully authentic, but good for the area. read more

Came during their soft opening and found this place to be one of the better Thai places around Madison. The food entrees come with a side ginger dressing salad and the entree itself was extremely yummy and flavorful. I switched my normal order and got Kao Pad and my boyfriend got the Pad See Ew and both of us left satisfied. The atmosphere here was also nice and relaxing with TVs mounted and they cook in the same room. We definitely will be coming back! read more

Extremely disappointed and just cannot recommend this place. As I am writing this review, I am currently in the fetal position because my stomach is in pain from this restaurant. I decided to give it another shot despite my previous experience. I ordered the chicken pad see ew. It is a pretty basic and easy Thai dish, but they some how managed to mess it up. The only thing I tasted was spicy and salt. They put so much salt and pepper on top that I was still able to see it. Despite it being over loaded with just spice and salt, it still managed to be bland. The chicken was also tough and chewy. I really hoped that this place would step it up and had hopes for it, but I was just super disappoint and now in a lot of pain. I would definitely not recommend this place. I just don't trust any fusion or "hip" Asian restaurants. You are better of sticking to a traditional place. read more

First time visiting this restaurant, my friend had made a reservation in advance. When we arrived, they had no record of our reservation and could not seat us. Then about 30 minutes later, my friend received a call from Kin Dee asking if we were showing up for our reservation! We had already found another place to eat. Cut to Thanksgiving day when we decided to try this restaurant again after their order online service as well as Apple maps indicated they were open. When we showed up to pick up our food they were closed! And I'm still waiting to receive a refund for their error. I've heard their food is good but sadly I will never taste it. The people running this place are clueless. read more

Today was their soft opening and KinDee didn't disappoint! The food were delicately flavored, sauces blended to perfection, blends of textures were just right. The presentation of each dish was mindfully placed, helps those who have a visual appetite. Friendly service, that's a definite plus. Definitely will be back to try the rest of the dishes! Can seat roughly 22-25 plus a larger party table seating 8-10. (See pics for what I mean - menu included) read more
