This place deserves 6 stars. It was incredible! The papaya salad was flavored perfectly but be careful because they use authentic Thai spice muddled in with the papaya so it is very spicy. All the food is Authentic and excellent. The wait staff was excellent and the service was perfect. read more

Kin Dee - Pad Thai - Thai Near Me - Houston, Texas

This was my first time trying Thai food besides chicken pad Thai at other Asian restaurants, and it was amazing! I ordered the shrimp Tom Yum soup with glass noodle and loved it. I didn't know what to expect, and I really enjoyed the sour flavor. I love spicy food, so I asked for "Thai hot," but I didn't think it was that hot. My nose did get a bit runny though. We enjoyed the money bags app, mango sticky rice, and homemade coconut ice cream. It was fun to try the various toppings with the ice cream. My husband has been to Thailand for work several times and gave the food big thumbs up. His only comment was how you can get this good of food for so cheap over there, but it was a nice splurge. Service was great. Our waitress was very kind and helpful in describing menu items to my mom and I. We sat outside, so ambiance was nice and not loud. read more

I enjoyed the live music while eating. Went for HRW2022 and also ordered some of their popular dishes. Prices are a tad higher than other Thai restaurants. We ordered the popular purple dumplings, it was quite flavorful but very small. Appetizers were good, skewers were juicy and not dry. The crab fried rice had a lot of crab meat and would be something I'd order again. The beef dish was interesting, it came with a sauce that didn't have much flavor to it but it is something you'd want to dip the pieces of meat with each time. read more

OMG...among the best Asian cuisine in H-town! Quite impressed with service and decor...wait staff made great recommendations.

I've had this on my bucket list for a loooong time. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. A fun place for with a cool atmosphere and the service was great, but that's it. If you're just looking for a pretty place to meet up for drinks I'd recommend. Drinks are very nicely presented, but heavy on sugar. You may be able to ask for less sweetness. The food, besides the pork belly, was subpar. I've read the other reviews so maybe it was just an off night? Everything lacked flavor. Very pretty presentation, but for the price of this meal it's not worth it. The portions for everything are quite small. Left me feeling hungry and disappointed. read more

This place has become my partner's and I favorite Thai restaurant in Houston. Great service, nice environment. Usually when we go there is a performer singing which gives it a nice vibe. The food is very flavorful. Our favorite is on Mondays they have a platter that contains their 6 signature dishes and it's amazing. They have their own cocktails as well which are delicious. I would highly recommend this place it's a gem read more

I came here for lunch with a friend and loved it. The service was great and the ambience was really refined and fun at the same time. We both ordered the shrimp with glass noodles which was very good. You must try their blue Pea Flower Dumplings. They are fresh, delicious and I couldn't tell they were vegetarian because there is so much flavor. The dumpling skin is hand prepared and so springy and BEAUTIFUL with the natural color coming from pea flowers. I think this is their signature dish and I will likely have 2 orders next time!! Plenty of parking in the lot. read more

The food was barely okay. The appetizers were actually better than the food. The stir fried glass noodles were good. The Pad Thai sucked. And this location has no beef other than two steak dishes. The waitress was extremely condescending. Like with a forced passive aggressive smile. There are way too many excellent Thai options in town for this to even be considered. And, folks, no one wants to hear loud blaring live music over lunch at a Thai restaurant. And I say that as a Metal musician. read more

It's a nice spot to eat Thai food. On Tuesday, we went to this area where they had cultural presentations, such as singing and dancing, to make you feel like you're in Thailand. The service is excellent (4 stars). The staff was incredibly pleasant and accommodating when it came to navigating the menu. Food is delectable (4 stars). We got grilled pork (which I liked since it was tender and not too chewy), drunken noodles (which had the ideal texture), money bags (which had a funny name but were delicious), sticky rice, and dumplings. There were several, but these are the ones that I remember. The environment is tidy (4 stars). When you come here, you immediately feel at ease, and it has been thus far. Overall, we had a good time and thought it was worthwhile to go. read more

Very good Thai food! Everything we tried was awesome! Soup and fried rice was delicious. Will definitely visit the next time we visit!

after 7 hours in the ER, with my brain running on two hard-boiled eggs and a thai food craving, my mom and I stopped at Kin Dee on the way home for some much needed sustenance. let's just say: my craving was satisfied and my day was saved. I ordered something incredibly boring as always (it's just what I like) and made the chicken satay appetizer into a meal by adding rice and veggies. it was some of the best satay i've ever had, the chicken was thick, the sauce was flavorful, and the cucumber accompaniment was so delicious I ordered extra. My mother couldn't stop raving about the panang curry and texted pretty much everyone we know (despite the fact that none of them live in Texas) about this restaurant, and is very excited to return with someone more interesting (and without food sensitivities lol) to share all the appetizers with. service was also excellent (shoutout to daniel, very accommodating and friendly), and the live music was an especially enjoyable touch. read more

Started out with drinks. They were great. Then the Flower dumplings, good as always. Then we got the curry... along with somebody's hair from the back.. which was in a bite we had...we sent the food back. We were offered a replacement plate, which we declined. We were offered dessert, which we also declined. We were offered dessert on our next visit, which won't be happening. We were still charged for both drinks & our appetizer. The manager didn't handle this the best which is why we won't be returning here. read more

Cool place and tasty food, but a bit too trendy. Prices are kind of high for what you get , but their food is delish. Thai tea is delish. Green curry is tasty and appetizer plate a goode choice too. Kind of strange that they have a DJ that spins club music, but it's a trendy Thai clubsteraunt, so there you go! read more

Honestly love this spot. Whenever I find myself in the Heights at a brewery or a bar, we almost always come here for dinner. I typically get the drunken noodles with shrimp, which is the most mouthwatering dish ever. I literally moan while I eat this because it's so good. Last time we came, my husband ordered the Thai Basil Chicken in medium spice. Which I knew would be too much for him because he thinks Hot Cheetos are spicy. Sure enough my mans was SWEATING. Our server took notice and he brought him a Thai Tea on the house to help with the burn. Such a sweet gesture and the drink was yummy. The staff every time I come are always awesome, they know how to hire good people. The live singer is the best, my husband loves hyping her up when we dine. P.s. Hubs said his dish was still really good and would not have ordered it any other way. read more

Found this restaurant on Yelp. Stopped in for the first time. Oh... so glad we stopped. Started with Shrimp in a Blanket, Thai Sparkling and a Singha beer. I just tried out Kim Dee because I really had a craving for some Tai style soup and the dumpling soup was perfect. I finished the entire bowl and the house special appetizer, that's all tied up. Additionally, their staff was super friendly! I ordered the butterfly pea tea and it was so freaking delightful, perfectly sweet and it changed colors..... so freaking cool! +For appetizer, the Thai Flower dumplings was not only tasty, but also has unique presentation that I haven't seen from any other Thai restaurants. My boyfriend got the Pad Thai which was very flavorful and delicious. I got the Spicy Pork Noodle Soup, it was amazing. +Drink: I got the Melonic which has watermelon and lime/lemon after taste. It doesn't have strong alcohol taste, but more likely juices. It suitable for light drinkers. Don't get me wrong I liked it still. +Desserts: Coconut Ice-cream was hands up totally loved it. +The chefs are from Thailand, which is a huge plus because I know it's more authentic that way. However, it definitely had some adjustments for Americans taste. +The price compared to other Thai restaurant I've been to is little higher, but I expected because the location, the rent is higher as well. - Everything was good until I went to restroom and my boyfriend asked for the check. The waitress brought out the machine for him to pay, she "accidentally" pressed 20% tips for herself and handed it to my boyfriend before he could even say anything and she quickly walked away. She might think my bf didn't catch that but he saw it. The thing is my bf was going to give a nice tips anyway, but he didn't like something sketchy like that. It's not the restaurant fault but it wasn't a nice experience at the end. That's why I have 4 . read more

I would eat here every night if I could. Every time I am just WOWed by the service, the quality and presentation of the food, and the portion sizes. The staff is just perfect by always refilling drinks, asking if the dishes met expectation, and knowledgeable about their bar menu. I came here for my birthday and they placed a special sign on my table which made me feel even more celebratory. I LOVE the dumplings, the mango sticky rice cocktail, and their duck soup. I cannot recommend this more. read more

They ran OUT OF RICE!!! How does a Thai restaurant run out of rice? It boggles my mind. The mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream was tasty but everything is generally very overpriced. There are better priced and tastier Thai places in the city. This is Thai food for the non Asian folk, and mainly hype. read more

Came here for happy hour and really enjoyed it. Started with the chicken wings and pork belly skewers, both of which are $8 on happy hour. The sauce on the pork belly was so flavorful and it was perfectly grilled. Chicken wings were also great. Super crispy! Tried chicken pad see ew and pork panang curry as entrees and they were both a hit ( $13 on happy hour)! My only complaint is that the curry did not come out hot, it was clear that it sat for awhile before being delivered to the table. Overall, service is friendly, decor is beautiful, and drinks are tasty! Will definitely be back. read more

Craving Thai food so I searched on Yelp to all y'all to help me out. I loved all the reviews so I tried: *shrimp in a blanket - so tasty! 10/10 experience!!! I felt bad about placing an order 45 minutes before they closed but they were so kind on the phone and in person. I got the chicken pad thai which was amazing (9.1/10 definitely in my top 3 pad thais). It had an incredible depth of flavor and was a lot of food for me. I got the mango sticky rice for dessert (8.5/10). It was so good the sticky rice also had good depth of flavor and the mango was perfectly ripe. The cherry on top was the ice cream, not only was it delicious but they put it in a small bag of ice so it wouldn't melt on the drive home. I would absolutely love to come back and have a sit down dinner here! read more

This place is amazing! The owners are so sweet. The food is full of flavor. The drinks were unique and delicious. The atmosphere is fantastic. I cannot recommend this place enough. I really enjoyed this place. I had the crab fried rice which was excellent. No soy sauce needed. Service was good. My order came out wrong and instead of them taking it away and (presumably) throwing it in the trash, they let me keep it. So I ended up with lunch for the next day! I always appreciate places who treat customers well. I do wish they had more cocktails on their menu, but some Thai places don't have alcohol at all so I can't complain. But overall every thing was delicious and I will definitely return. read more

I visited this place for the first time during their one year anniversary. It was really a great experience. The performances and red carpet were a great way to celebrate. I ordered the glass noodles and they were delicious. My friend ordered the panang curry and she said it was 5/5. I often struggle to find places that are not 100% vegan for my non vegan friends so we can all eat well. This place has many vegan options or dishes you can make vegan. I'll definitely be back. Delicious! My best friend happened to tell me about this place and we met up for lunch today. Let me start with the interior, it's gorgeous. It's a very fun but classy restaurant with not cheesy Thai theme. All of the utensils are gold, and the cups are all lined in gold which is really beautifully decadent. The waitress was very friendly and the food was amazing. We started with the appetizer called all in one. It had chicken satay, pork Satay, the money bags and meatballs. I kind of didn't want to share it because it was so delicious Then we shared the chicken Pad Thai. It came wrapped in an egg, exactly like they do in Thailand. The flavor was really good and again I was kind of upset that I had to share it with my best friend because I would have eaten the whole plate by myself. It is a little on the pricey side, in the pad thai proportion wasn't very large, but I guess that's what you pay for dining in the Heights. I would definitely return again read more

Where to even begin? I had a reservation for 5 for Father's Day. When we got there, about 8 people were standing at the front desk that hadn't been checked in and the hostess was nowhere to be found. The manager was running around trying to help wait tables instead of help attending the empty front desk. After 20 minutes of sitting those without reservations before us, we were finally directed to our table. I say directed because the hostess literally just motioned toward the empty table, leaving us with no menu (other tables had physical menus) or directions of how to retrieve it. After another 10 minutes a busboy dropped off our water in plastic cups (everyone in the restaurant besides us had glasses. It was later explained to us that they just ran out). We waited another 10 minutes before the waitress finally arrived. Just before she came we found the dime-sized QR code for the menu hidden away on a two-sided advertisement. Without any greeting or apology for the wait, the waitress hurriedly asked what we wanted and seems impatient that it took us a second, having just found the menu. We panic-picked drinks and an appetizer, then had to wait another 15 minutes before she came back to take our food order. The food itself was hit and miss. A couple of the dishes lacked flavor and seasoning. Overall it was decent but certainly not up to par with comparable to some of the better Thai restaurants in Houston. Obviously they were short staffed, but most of these issues could have been understood and solved with communication. The staff was out in a tough spot and collectively chose to avoid the problem instead of addressing it. The hostess could have made sure the waitress came right away after the delayed sitting and made sure we had access to the menu. The waitress could have been more attentive given most of the restaurant emptied shortly after we sat. The manager could have checked on us when he dropped off our food instead of avoiding. As things slowed the manager and hostess sat at the front of the restaurant on their phones while our waitress cleaned tables. To end the night, the waitress stood over my shoulder as I used the credit card machine to tip and review. It's extra awkward giving the thumbs down for service on the review step when the waitress is staring right at the screen. We really wanted to be return customers here, but the poor management and training just left a bad taste in our mouths that the mediocre food couldn't make up for. read more
