Dress before alterations, to long even with tall heels
Natalie L.

I needed the dress pictured below shortened, even in tall heels it was dragging on the ground. Kimberly did a perfect job getting it to the right length and i really appreciated how she kept the nice ruffled edge on the front. Qouted $60 when I first came in and asked for $60 when i picked it up. She only accepts cash/check for payment just a heads up. She had my dress ready in 3 days with no extra charge for timing, I was very thankful for this it was done right in time for my event. She does quality work, I highly recommend!!

Custom pieces and the matching dress
Aurora A.

My alterations were perfect! She did my brides maid dress. And she was able to custom make two matching bow ties and two matching giant hair bows (flower boys and ring girls). The kids were adorable! I gave 4 starts because the work was perfect, fast and she was hysterical. Cut to the chase, honest, and matter of fact. I saw other reviews that said she was rude but I didn't see her as rude, just spunky and confident with her work! As she should be. I left off one star and that was for price. My 4 custom piece were $25 each, and my dress was about $100. Again, perfect work. I will go back but it'll cost me. She was too perfect not to go back.

I have had numerous items of clothing altered at Kimberly's. I found her to be courteous, competent, and timely.

However, when I go to a tailor, and that is their only speciality, I expect that business to provide a certain level of quality and expertise. I don't care if language is a barrier, the workmanship should speak for itself. Bad points: 1. The shop smells like cigarettes. 2. I went there to have a basic denim dress taken in and had to spend time going back multiple times to fix errors that would never have happened with a trained professional with experience. - The waist has overlapping seams. - There is now a pleat over one pocket but not the other. - The tucks on the back end at different points and are not finished, so they will pull and open if I bend over. - The bust area is not smoothly sewn, so it sits weird. So so sad, because I love this dress. 3. Having to keep coming back to fix the issues. Good points: 1. The lady is nice. 2. She didn't cut off any fabric, so I can go somewhere else and have it fixed. 3. She charged me fairly for my trouble. 4. The shop is close to where I live. I won't be back anytime soon. Sorry.

(They flawlessly mended a ripped strap on my Samsonite laptop backpack, and then just today, they perfectly repaired a very badly broken zipper on the front pocket of my large Sansonite roller suitcase.) The cost on both occasions was far far less than I expected! The owners are super kind and friendly, easy to work with and very skilled at their craft. I couldn't be happier with their repair work on both of my luggage items! I will definitely be coming back here in the future the next time I need something mended or repaired!

The Seamstress - Alina perfectly brought to life the sleeve I envisioned, which had the right amount of structure and freedom of movement.

Alina did a phenomenal job on my daughter's wedding dress. We contacted her through Yelp as we had…read moretwo dresses to decide on, actually 3 (one with 2 sizes). She requested photos of them on so she could pinpoint areas of alteration. She also suggested we come in with both dresses so she could give realistic options of what each dress would cost to alter. Both dresses were from Azazie, an online store, so Alterations are most likely going to be needed to make the dress fit perfectly. She was able to suggest which dress would cost more to alter in case it was a tossup between the two however she never steered her opinion on which one she preferred. On top of that she's extremely sweet and she spent a lot of time in that initial appointment. It was very helpful in deciding on which dress ultimately would be "the one"! On the dress my daughter decided on, we realized at the time of the first appointment that the fringe straps were not even and some of the beads were missing (from Azazie). We did not notice this at home. Alina was able to fix the straps perfectly, find the same exact beads from her inventory, and create a bustle. The dress was absolutely gorgeous when she got done! Alina really cares about her clients and her work. We highly recommend her!

The location is in the basement, but it is in a nice remodeled room, that is specific for a wedding gowns. She did great work and was able to reconstruct my dress. Thank you to the Sewlutions Alterations team for the professional work, the warm smiles, and the friendly service. My garment was ready even sooner than I expected! The experience was disappointing from start to finish. We waited around 45 minutes just to be seen…read more We were then charged $28 for a simple hem, which is on the high side, but since we had already waited so long, we decided to just pay and leave. At checkout, we were told the pants would be ready for pickup in 7-10 days. After 10 days, we called to check on them and were told it would actually be another 8 days. When we reminded them that we had specifically been told 7-10 days, they were very resistant and asked what we needed the pants for. They repeatedly insisted that they had told us it would take 18 days, which is not what we were told and is not a timeline we would have agreed to. Unfortunately, the quality of the work was also poor. Less than two weeks after getting the pants back, the hem started fraying badly (see attached photo). For $28, I expected a much better-quality alteration. Overall, the long wait, inconsistent communication about the turnaround time, high price, and poor quality of the finished work made this a very disappointing experience.

I brought in my fiancé suit to be cleaned and for some reason the suit was cleaned, but the shirt took an additional two more hours. I also brought in a blue dress that had crystals on it. That was probably about 10 years old. I have been dry clean many times at past cleaners. The old man that owns the place idea how to clean the dress with the crystals. I was shocked... A professional dry cleaner doesn't know how to dry clean the dress? I then brought it to Meadows dry cleaners and they knew exactly what to do! The final straw was one night me and my fiancé were at Coconuts Thai restaurant that is literally right next-door to the cleaners. Both these businesses close at 7pm and we parked at 6:30. It's not like people were banging down the dry cleaners door to get service... I just happened to pull in and didn't see a sign that said dry cleaners only. The old guy goes out to my car and takes a picture. I see him and I go into his establishment and said " did you take a picture of my car" and he said "yes ". and I said "why did you do that" and he said "because I can.".....He then took his hand and waved me out of his store. Absolutely the rudest experience I have ever had and will NEVER go back to this dry cleaners, they will never get another dime from me! I'M ALSO GOING TO LET EVERYONE ELSE KNOW ABOUT THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE... MEADOWS DRY CLEANERS THAT'S OVER BY THE QFC IS FABULOUS AND THEY KNOW HOW TO DRY CLEAN PROFESSIONALLY !

Owner spent quite a bit of time making me feel welcome and giving me a lot of information about Issaquah and spots of interest including fresh spring where I could get drinking water. Working hybrid remote lessens my need for dry cleaners services but if many return and give this business the dry cleaning we have, you'll be keeping decent people in business.
