Verdict: GO HERE, IT'S WORTH IT! High quality work, great value for your money, and fast turnaround times. Incredible experience. Timelines were accurate, the final product was exactly as we expected, and it was awesome value for money (for alterations on a suit jacket and a wedding dress) We had both scheduled two fittings and got our final alterations completed roughly 9 days before we tie the knot. I only took pictures for my suit jacket (wearing the complete ensemble minus tie and pocket square), but it's a fantastic example of their work - they modified the back and shoulders, as well as the jacket sleeve length so it's more fitted to my body type (this was already a 38 Short jacket measurement). They close at 6pm on weekdays, and we live in West Seattle, but on a recommendation from a friend, we chose this place after shopping around, and YES, it was totally worth it. On the way to our second fitting, we hit a TON of traffic on the I-90 and ended up being about 20 minutes late to our 5:30pm fitting - they STAYED OPEN until we arrived and made sure we were properly fitted before sending us back on our way. This is the third dress I've had altered here, and I felt compelled to let everyone know how high quality the work is. Juhee's took an off the rack dress for my sister's wedding and made it look like a custom piece. In addition to taking it in and hemming the skirt, she added hooks on the back to keep my bra line securely hidden, and mesh on the front for better support and coverage. Pricier than expected, but I got some jeans hemmed for $20/pair. The work was well done and done on time, and they helped measure and check what I wanted several times so I'd be happy with it. My family and I Have brought our alterations here a few times & each and every time I have experienced Rude customer service!!! One time she altered my pants too short and was so rude I just went home and let them out myself. The only reason I went back is to give her the benefit of the doubt .. yet unfortunately She still seems to be herself and will not tell you she doesn't want to do something but rather will just tell you "it cost too much" ( of which I've heard her say on a number of occasions) and if you decide it is too much then she will dismiss you by walking away without so much as a glance of a goodbye. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I brought my mother-of-the-bride dress in to be altered, and the price and timeline were so much better than other places I had contacted. The next day, there was a mishap with the place doing my daughter's wedding dress alterations. Jinna went above and beyond trying to work me in to her already packed schedule. Not only did she get the work done in time, but it was amazing!! My daughter's dress was very complicated, and it was altered to perfection. Service was excellent here. I visited Juhee's to have my wedding dress hemmed and tightened at the waist. When I first arrived, they gave me a quote and a pretty quick turn around time. The results were perfect. I did have to go in about three times to get the fitting right, but it showed their attention to detail. I would be happy to come again! Prices were also fair. Jinna (owner of Juhee's Alterations and otherwise known as Juhee) was AMAZING at tailoring my wedding dress. I first got a bridesmaid dress tailored by her (which I actually had her alter 1 more time 1 year later to shorten and wear as a wedding guest dress) and liked her so much and found her pricing to be the best so I brought her my wedding dress. My dress had a lace layer with uneven patterning, which is complex to hem short but Jinna did a fabulous job. She is very thoughtful and meticulous about the process. She invited to come in many times to try on the dress at each step to ensure it was perfect. During one try-on, I didn't like exactly how the dress laid when bustled, so she changed it and it turned out just perfect. Also in the final weeks, I asked her to remove the beading of the straps. I bought this dress secondhand, and she altered in a way that made me think it was brand new and custom fit for me. She did just a wonderful job, is super kind, accommodating to feedback, and is very talented. Highly recommend coming here for any of your formal wear or wedding dress alteration needs! read more

They saved my day! First off, I had two weeks to alter my dress before the day of. I called at least 10 different places and no one would want to take my dress because of the complexities of the lace. I am 5 feet tall, I don't like wearing high heels, and my dress is a mermaid style, the size was too big for me all over the place. They went above and beyond to make this dress look like it was never altered. Instead of hemming the bottom of the dress, which would make me look shorter and out of proportion, they brought up the skirt by cutting into the dress, and you can't even see the line! They made it fit to a mermaid style which the dress lacked because it was so big before. Remember though, more half of the people didn't want to work on my dress due to the one piece construction all lace dress. This was not an easy task. Not only that, the price was reasonable, other bridal places that I went to refused to cut into the dress. They basically performed a dress surgery. I wanted a 6 point bustle so that it blends instead of something sticking out. Basically, they came up with some really good ideas that I wouldn't have thought of to make the dress fit well for me. I got so many complements during the wedding. I was very well taken care of during the alteration process, they wanted to see me at least five times for fittings within two weeks. That's a lot of caring and attention! I really like this place because they don't treat you like another bride like at the bridal salons. You'll get more attention and customization that fits better for you. read more

Juhee's ruined my daughters prom dress. $120+ in alterations spent for a ruined dress with puckered seams. We asked for Juhee's to return the dress to original condition and it was not. This place is terrible. There are other options very close to this. I brought my shirt to them to clean two spots from cola. The design of the shirt made them hard to see, but I pointed out when I dropped it off and they put tape there to mark it. It came back in exactly the same condition I dropped it off. They both pretended they didn't see the spots and that I was imagining the spots. I told them I will pay for the pants, but since they didn't clean the spots, I will not pay for the shirt. At which point, they BOTH attempted to grab my clothes out of my hands and told me that they are THEIR property. They wouldn't let me leave the store. I had to call the police to come. The officer said that the spots were hard to see, but they were there. At this point, they took my money for the pants and I was free to leave. They do not clean their own dry cleaning. They use a third party. I don't know how good their alterations are, but if you need dry cleaning, go elsewhere. read more

I brought 2 pairs of jeans here for a hem and a zipper replacement. The people were nice, the price was fair, and the alterations were flawless. The husband shorted me 50 cents when he gave me my change. I'm not sure if it was a mistake, or maybe he just decided to give himself a raise. No big deal either way. I will go here again if I need alterations, because the location is convenient, and the good service is worth the tip. read more

Juhee's is the best, and I highly recommend them! I took my wedding dress in February 2013 and got it back in April and the entire experience was just wonderful. Juhee is knowledgeable and a true master of her craft. She took in my dress, pressed, and bustled my train. My wedding dress has a lot of bead work, but she still did a wonderful job and made my dress even more stunning! She and her husband are absolutely amazing. I was very worried that as a plus sized bride I'd be criticized, but she was kind and respectful to me the entire time and took the time to explain every detail she did. I cannot even tell you how excited I am, and how much I love this place! The prices are amazing. At one alterations place I was quoted $480 for all of my alterations, she quoted me $250 for all of my dress work. She is so reasonably priced with great quality of work. read more

Juhee's is the best! I borrowed my sister's dress for a wedding, with the promise that "nothing would happen to it"... after a night full of shenanigans that could be found in a comedic movie, the dress was wrecked. I brought it to Juhee's and they looked slightly horrified but said they would do their best to clean it up. I picked it up a few days later and it looked better than when I got it! Since then, I have gotten pants, dresses, and suits cleaned and altered there. Last week, I had my wedding dress fitted for only $80! This included removing the zipper, adjusting the bodice, and hemming 5 layers of the dress skirt- all done in just a week. Their work is beautiful and much cheaper than the average bridal alteration (which usually start in the $300's!). They have recently started getting very busy, so if you'll be needing something right away, expect about a week for alterations and 3-4 days for dry-cleaning. read more

I'm really bummed to have to write this review. I went to have three dresses altered before the holidays. The other two turned out okay but one dress came out completely lopsided. I'm shocked at what a simple alteration this was and how badly it was messed up. The staff was super sweet and great during my first visit. However, when I went to pick up they didn't have me try the dresses back on before taking them. And I should have insisted - so that's my fault. In the photo I'm holding up the strap as high as I ca. So you can see how completely uneven they made the straps......so now I can't wear the dress I spent over $50 and now have to get a new dress or pay to have someone else fix this dress. read more

I had a long, formal gown I needed altered. It was too long and also had a small train I wanted removed. I went to Juhee's because of all the excellent reviews before me. I am glad I did! They did a beautiful job on my dress. It looks flawless! It took 7 days (reasonable) and it cost $45. I thought the price was a bit high, but the dress was lined so it was twice the work. I HIGHLY recommend Juhee's Alterations. They did such a great job on two pairs of pants that needed hemming and a dress that needed hemming as well. I always bring my cashmere sweaters and other delicates and silk blouses to Juhees. They have always come back fresh, cleanly laundered, and in tip top shape. I don't want to take risks when it comes to cashmere, so I keep coming back to Juhees because I know they will dry clean it right. This is also a very honest business, and I was highly impressed by their ethical standards. When I dropped off a pile of sweaters for dry cleaning, the owner accidentally overcharged me by about $3. I would never have noticed because the prices are so reasonable. As soon as I walked out of the store he followed me to correct the mistake and reimburse me for the $3. I have been going to Ju Hee for years. Even when I moved to Seattle, I continued to drive to the Eastside for all my alteration needs. I did want comment that even under the new ownership I have not seen any decline in the quality work. The couple that now owns it is cute and friendly but most importantly they get the job done. Pant hems take about a week and only cost $10. It is a little out of the way for me now but I don't see any reason to go anywhere else when I know I'll get a job done right at Ju Hee's. read more
