Panel in the back was loosened but she put new loops on and it was good as new!

Jinna (owner of Juhee's Alterations and otherwise known as Juhee) was AMAZING at tailoring my wedding dress. I first got a bridesmaid dress tailored by her (which I actually had her alter 1 more time 1 year later to shorten and wear as a wedding guest dress) and liked her so much and found her pricing to be the best so I brought her my wedding dress. My dress had a lace layer with uneven patterning, which is complex to hem short but Jinna did a fabulous job. She is very thoughtful and meticulous about the process. She invited to come in many times to try on the dress at each step to ensure it was perfect. During one try-on, I didn't like exactly how the dress laid when bustled, so she changed it and it turned out just perfect. Also in the final weeks, I asked her to remove the beading of the straps. I bought this dress secondhand, and she altered in a way that made me think it was brand new and custom fit for me. She did just a wonderful job, is super kind, accommodating to feedback, and is very talented. Highly recommend coming here for any of your formal wear or wedding dress alteration needs!

    After alteration. At wedding location!

Horrible dry cleaning service. I got some of my dress shirts dry cleaned and it came out exactly the same as when I brought it in.

Meeting her in person only confirmed it. She listened carefully to every single one of my needs and accommodated each one with such grace and care. My wedding dress is chiffon, and she created the most gorgeous custom bustle in the back that made it look beautifully layered and flowing. Beyond her extraordinary skill, she made me feel beautiful. She complimented me, lifted my spirits, and even took the time to teach me how to walk without tripping on my train. That kind of thoughtfulness goes so far beyond what any seamstress is required to do. After I picked up my perfectly hemmed, bustled, and altered dress, I had a small panic moment (actually, a major panic moment) when I realized the style looked slightly different than I remembered from when I originally ordered it from Anthropologie. I called Svetlana in a near meltdown, and without hesitation, she invited me to come in that very same day. Within 20 minutes, she had fixed everything flawlessly!! I was in disbelief!! Svetlana is a true miracle worker, and anyone who gets to work with her is incredibly, incredibly lucky. I will be forever grateful that she was a part of my wedding journey!!! I love you, Svetlana!!!!

The crowded, less-than glamorous surroundings make trying on a suit difficult, as the "changing room" is nothing more than an unused nook with a curtain. Further, there's only one full-length mirror in a poorly lit area of the store to see the finished clothes in. The store itself deals with jeans and is sometimes a bit noisy. It's also worth noting that they don't accept credit cards (cash or check only). Service: Jerry is a great guy. Probably mid-seventies, with a warm, genuine nature about him. You can tell he wants to help make you look your best. He also offers a "satisfaction guarantee" -- he'll rework the clothes free of charge if you're not happy with what he's done. He was careful as he measured me, and took his time to try to make sure he knew what I wanted. I was there to get a pair of suit pants hemmed and the sleeves of a sport coat shortened. Price: This is where Jerry shines. What could have cost upwards of $50 at other shops cost $23 with "Bellevue tailors". He said he could have the work done in about five days. Result: Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. For all of Jerry's sweetness and good intentions, his work is less than stellar. Mind you, I'm a fashion aficionado, and I was trusting Jerry with $200 wool suit pants and a similarly expensive J Crew blazer. I was shocked (and a bit upset) when I picked up my jacket and found that it had been stored on a wire hanger. For those that don't know, hanging a blazer on a wire hanger can do real harm to the shoulders of the garment. Most tailors that routinely work with fine clothing would have proper suit hangers on which to store jackets. This (and other factors) gave me the impression that the majority of Jerry's clients were the people already in the store, getting their "Jeans Direct". To review the work itself: When you look at the bottom of the pants (from about a foot away) the stitches from the hem work are visible on the exterior. Since it's not SUPER noticeable (and because I needed the pants) I accepted that article of clothing without complaint. I also had problems with the shortening of my Blazer's sleeves -- this time unignorable. You see, Jerry had taken about 1/4-1/2 inch off the sleeves and moved the non-functioning cuff buttons appropriately, but he neglected to trim or shorten the LINING on the coat sleeves. This left extra fabric that would bunch up in the arm and prevent my shirt cuff from extending past my suit cuff. Basically, the error meant that my dress shirts wouldn't fall naturally when using this coat. To his credit, Jerry was happy to rework the jacket for free, but of course that cost extra time and another trip to his shop. Overall, I give Jerry 5 stars as a person, but only 2 as a tailor. If I need to get some Jeans or casual chinos hemmed, he's my man, but for suits or other finer pieces of clothing, I'll go elsewhere.

However, when I go to a tailor, and that is their only speciality, I expect that business to provide a certain level of quality and expertise. I don't care if language is a barrier, the workmanship should speak for itself. Bad points: 1. The shop smells like cigarettes. 2. I went there to have a basic denim dress taken in and had to spend time going back multiple times to fix errors that would never have happened with a trained professional with experience. - The waist has overlapping seams. - There is now a pleat over one pocket but not the other. - The tucks on the back end at different points and are not finished, so they will pull and open if I bend over. - The bust area is not smoothly sewn, so it sits weird. So so sad, because I love this dress. 3. Having to keep coming back to fix the issues. Good points: 1. The lady is nice. 2. She didn't cut off any fabric, so I can go somewhere else and have it fixed. 3. She charged me fairly for my trouble. 4. The shop is close to where I live. I won't be back anytime soon. Sorry.

And let me tell you, it was a transformative experience. It was like stepping into a sartorial spa, but instead of cucumber slices, they offered me perfectly pressed suit jackets and shirts. The staff? Absolute legends. They didn't just sell clothes; they conducted a full-blown intervention. No joke My personal stylist, bless his soul, "Louie" (and another gentleman who's name i didnt get but deserves equal credit) looked at my current attire with the kind of pity usually reserved for stray kittens, then proceeded to dress me like I was about to negotiate a multi-million dollar deal...or at least attend a moderately fancy brunch. And the alterations? Forget magic; this was straight-up wizardry. They took a suit that fit me like a potato sack and turned it into something that made me look like I could actually parallel park on the first try. I swear, the tailor must have a secret stash of fairy dust and a laser measuring tape. The best part? The "You're gonna like the way you look" line. It's not just a slogan; it's a prophecy. I left feeling like a suave secret agent, ready to take on the world, or at least remember to put the toilet seat down. So, if you're like me, and your fashion sense is currently residing somewhere between "lost hiker" and "guy who wears socks with sandals," do yourself a favor. Go to Men's Wearhouse.
