I REALLY REALLY wanted to love this business. As you can see, most of my reviews are positive. I look for every opportunity to support local, small, family owned businesses. However, when I go to a tailor, and that is their only speciality, I expect that business to provide a certain level of quality and expertise. I don't care if language is a barrier, the workmanship should speak for itself. Bad points: 1. The shop smells like cigarettes. 2. I went there to have a basic denim dress taken in and had to spend time going back multiple times to fix errors that would never have happened with a trained professional with experience. - The waist has overlapping seams. - There is now a pleat over one pocket but not the other. - The tucks on the back end at different points and are not finished, so they will pull and open if I bend over. - The bust area is not smoothly sewn, so it sits weird. So so sad, because I love this dress. 3. Having to keep coming back to fix the issues. Good points: 1. The lady is nice. 2. She didn't cut off any fabric, so I can go somewhere else and have it fixed. 3. She charged me fairly for my trouble. 4. The shop is close to where I live. I won't be back anytime soon. I love this place, it's truly a hidden gem of a tailor shop and I'm so glad I found it! They have beautifully fixed two different large bulky luggage items for me. (They flawlessly mended a ripped strap on my Samsonite laptop backpack, and then just today, they perfectly repaired a very badly broken zipper on the front pocket of my large Sansonite roller suitcase.) The cost on both occasions was far far less than I expected! The owners are super kind and friendly, easy to work with and very skilled at their craft. I couldn't be happier with their repair work on both of my luggage items! I will definitely be coming back here in the future the next time I need something mended or repaired! read more

1. Nice couple and decent location. 2. They do not answer their phone as I do not believe they speak much English. But you can communicate through an app that they have. 3. They will most likely f up your stuff. Luckily, it was not an alteration and could be fixed. I was able to get it fixed by another Kimberly's (Gives a discount to the military personnel and was extremely fast and efficient. I had needed a pair of khaki and motorcycle jeans worked on. It's a very difficult job because the knee pad had to be moved up as well. The smallest size jean at cycle gear has always been either too long or too wide so I needed it to be fit perfectly for riding. The couple working at the store did an amazing job getting the jean custom fitted to my short stature and body type. Will be coming here for all my tailoring needs in the future! I really want to like this place but the past two times I went here, they fked up my stuff twice. The couple don't speak any English so the first time they did the alteration wrong, I thought it was a language barrier. The second time I came back for an alteration of a bridesmaid dress, I saw a big food stain in the front of my dress. I was furious because clearly someone dropped food on my dress. I had a jacket where the zipper ripped out in the washer. I first took it to my regular dry cleaners Best Cleaners. Best Cleaner's cost for repairs is outrageous. For the zipper, Best Cleaners quoted $65 for an inexpensive jacket. Issaquah Tailor was $25 and did an excellent job. I had to communicate with the lady via Google Translate which was 95% effective. They did a great job. The only minus is the work was piled on a stool and she seemed to not know what job was which so she had to dig through everything and found it. read more

The lady does not speak English so it's extremely hard to communicate with her. Also they cannot deliver the work on time as promised. They told me to pick up on one day but when we arrived she asked me again what they need to get done for my shirt, which they should've asked when I dropped off. This place is terrible, they told me they would have my stuff ready in time, not only was it not ready, but they completely did not understand what I was asking, which was not difficult. All they needed to do was the dress and they completely messed up. I also had a pair of jeans I needed hemmed. It was not done and they cut them short on one leg, seriously the most awful place. Not to mention that when I got there, she had to use her phone to ask me what color my clothes were because she couldn't find them amongst the piles and piles of clothes that she has there. Very good service. They did a very good job and offered great service and help. Respectful, on time, and efficient.

Will gave 0 start if there is such option. Firstly, they don't keep their promised date. I asked them to trim the sleeves of two sport coats. Came back on the date they promised, and they asked for one more day to finish. Secondly, and most importanly, they did a really terrible job. On the one they "finished", the buttons on the sleeves are not even aligned. The opening of the sleeves were not of the same length and they just folded the longer piece a bit and sewed it up so that they look even. The other unfinished one, they did not treat it with proper care, threads were pulled out in multiple places (Linen). Thirdly, they don't speak English and use google translate to communicate all time around. Google translate does not work properly understanding their language I believe. So it had been so difficult to understand each other. Fourthly, the male (tailor?) seems really aggressive and hostile when the dispute arises (the lady was pretty nice though). In the end, I asked to return the sport coats, finished or unfinished. The lady said it was free, but they already charged my credit card. read more

We took my wife's custom skirt to see if they could refit the sizing which would require a lot of effort to size up the waist and relocate the zipper and buttons and side pockets. Honestly wasn't sure if anyone could do it, but they did a fantastic job and the work is top notch. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend!!! read more
