The experience was disappointing from start to finish. We waited around 45 minutes just to be seen. We were then charged $28 for a simple hem, which is on the high side, but since we had already waited so long, we decided to just pay and leave. At checkout, we were told the pants would be ready for pickup in 7-10 days. After 10 days, we called to check on them and were told it would actually be another 8 days. When we reminded them that we had specifically been told 7-10 days, they were very resistant and asked what we needed the pants for. They repeatedly insisted that they had told us it would take 18 days, which is not what we were told and is not a timeline we would have agreed to. Unfortunately, the quality of the work was also poor. Less than two weeks after getting the pants back, the hem started fraying badly (see attached photo). For $28, I expected a much better-quality alteration. Overall, the long wait, inconsistent communication about the turnaround time, high price, and poor quality of the finished work made this a very disappointing experience. read more

I had numerous patches sewed on several items - everything was good. I had a shoulder epaulette put on a uniform - everything was good. I had some specially made 18th century trousers altered and provided a different pair (different materials and sutler/design to help guide leg taper desired as they were made better). Here's where issues happened...they did alter the taper but when doing that it caused the leg to twist in the cut to where the gaiters are were 90 degrees off. I showed them and they realized the errors but they couldn't be fixed and resolved due to how they took the legs in. To their credit, they reimbursed the sewing costs for both plus the cost I paid to have the trousers made. The error really was that both of them didn't see the drop-off and didn't ask me to try everything on and fit assess. I think with standard items there would be no issues. I gave them 3 stars because I lost 2 key pieces to my uniforms (gaiters trousers) which must be specially made, but they did reimburse me what I paid. read more

Great at communication, finished well before estimated, did a lovely job, however it was more expensive than the actual dress itself. $120 to hem a bridesmaids dress from David's bridal seemed quite steep. If I needed a wedding dress or something really expensive or important altered, this would be my first choice... but otherwise too expensive. read more
