The service is not good. My shirts were not cleaned on time when I arrived for pickup. I needed them that day for leaving on trip. The owner didn't seem to care and also the prices are much higher than at other cleaners in the area. I won't be coming back that's for sure. read more

I've been using this dry cleaner for over a decade and I have never had a negative experience here. Indeed all my dry cleaning has always been done well and when I needed it quickly it was done in a timely manner. I've never had a lost item or any sort damage. The owners ( both old and new ) have always been friendly and very polite. Overall I have no complaints at all and would very much recommend this place. This place is dishonest. I asked to get some men's shirts "pressed". They ended up charging me "hand ironing" price $6.45 each instead of $2.50 (pressed -only). I called in and asked the price for pressed-only. The women on the phone answered it's $2.50. I quickly said, "then you guys charged me wrong yesterday. 5 pressed-only men's shirts should be around $13. But you guys charged me $36 yesterday." Then, she quickly responded, "Oh! We hand-ironed those shirts for you. You know? It's better and plus the labor charge....It's $6.45 each." What a BS response. I asked for pressed only originally. They went ahead to hand iron those without my consent? Not to mention, they didn't even do a good job. What hand ironing? I can't even tell, alright? 5 men's shirts, pressed only = $36. Watch out for this dishonest, sketchy place. They lied to get by. They would not admit they made a mistake. They simply just wanna take your money, and you can get the fuck out. Hmmm... Apparently they played a little Where's Waldo with my clothing. As the items were placed in front of me, the lady was asking me if certain articles were mine because "they weren't tagged." Ummmm... How hard is it to keep one order together??? Ultimate shocker of the experience: The bill was at least 50% more than I have ever paid at any other dry cleaner for the same quantity; INCLUDING HOTEL DRY CLEANING SERVICE OVERSEAS!!! When she handed me my receipt (after running my card and without telling me the total), I actually blurted out, "Holy sh*t! That's expensive!" ... I had to make sure I wasn't viewing the total incorrectly! They may want to think about providing complimentary lube while requesting payment. I feel violated. I was hoping for a little assistance to the parking lot. I may be spoiled by other dry cleaners, but this place didn't even offer to assist me to my car with my 21 items. However, I'm pretty sure I paid for my items to be FedEx'd directly to my car from Australia... I don't think I'll be back. read more

I went in to get a coat clean; it had a coffee stain on it. I pointed out exactly where the stain was and told them what it was. After paying $25 to have my coat cleaned, the stain was still very noticeable. It didn't look like they had done much to it. read more

I have noticed that the pressing (ironing) is not to the same quality as when I first started frequenting this establishment. They must not be training as well. Some wrinkled on armpits of shirts and on cuffs. Since you pay extra here - I expect excellence. OK - now going to look for a new place. They could not get some spots out of my husbands pants. They laundered, dry cleaned and then laundered - charged me for ALL - and still spots. He says the spots were not there when I took the pants in and he believes they somehow spilled chemicals on the pants. In any event - time to look for a new dry cleaners. read more

This place might not be a bargain, but what do you expect from the only dry cleaner in the Highlands? There's really not a service they dont do, so long as you arent asking them to take a wine stain out of a fur coat by the next morning. If you get to meet the owner, you are taken care of. They've taken great care of high end pieces, alterations and even just pressing laundry shirts. If you care about your nice clothes, their timeline and prices match. Just sayin. read more

I am a little surprised at all the poor reviews. I have had a fine experience at Highlands Cleaners for the past year. The prices may be on the higher end as people are indicating (admittedly I have not done a bunch of comparison shopping). Our garments have always been completed on time, cleaned well, and never misplaced or had damage. Staff has always been friendly and efficient with their service. I dropped off 6 shirts and they said it would cost around $12 to clean. When I picked them up, the bill was $48. They stated that it was really hard to clean so they are charging me more. She wouldn't let me have my shirts unless I paid the bill. I'm not sure what would allow a business to make an increase in services and demand you pay 4x the initial amount without even considering calling you first. If you have a choice, which there are several within a mile or two, I'd take my business elsewhere. Read the other reviews here and make your own decision. But, buyer beware.... read more

In the last few months I would get a shirt every other wash that they said was worn and showed a spot that was wearing on the elbow. They were older shirts so I didn't think much or it. Then the last month they gave me back 3 shirts with tears and wearing in the elbow again, only these were brand new shirts, worn maybe 4 times so far. I bought them to replace the old worn ones. Then they kept explaining to me how it's my fault, I must be really hard on my elbows. I've had the same job for 8 years and the same car for 2 years. Why is it only now that my shirts start tearing? Terrible customer service. I wish I can give no star or negative stat. Took a tanktop in for alternation. I measured it at home and give clear instruction as to how many inches to take off. After I picked it up, it didn't look like any work was done so I went back to see if they can do it (In case it was overlooked). The guy who worked there was extremely rude. He said he altered it and he doesn't guarantee work if I measured it myself. I told him we won't be back and he said please don't. I will be sure not to return. read more

Initially, they seemed nice, until you have to have more interactions with them. Customer service is really lacking here. They did an okay job cleaning my items that were already mostly clean. But, given that they are located in the Seattle area and near a bunch of coffee shops they might want to learn how to get rid of coffee stains! There are a lot of other options in the area. I have been coming to this cleaners for years and have never had a problem until this past visit. I have brought in items to be cleaned and one cushion to have the strap sewn back on. When I brought the cushion in there were three straps and the fourth needed to be placed back on. When I picked it up only two straps were on it. I asked the employee what happened and she just stood and argued with me that I was incorrect. I told her I'm not as I have three other cushions that are identical. You can even see the stitches have been changed on both sides because the thread is the same color and not the correct color. Clearly one side was touched and shouldn't have been. So now I have a cushion that I can't use any longer. No apologies, no ok let's figure out a solution just I'm wrong. There clearly is a lesson that needs to be learned by this establishment. Customers beware of here. I will certainly share this dissatisfaction with all of my neighbors. I will not be returning in the future which is a shame that this was handled so poorly. read more

I've used them a number of times for cleaning and simple alterations. Always a great job, never any issues. Service has always been fast and friendly. If you're in the Highlands, use them, you can't beat the convenience! Only recommendation for them is to post their prices at the counter. read more

I don't usually write reviews but I am so angry I thought I should share my experience. I dropped off 2 dresses, pointed out the stains prior to dropping off. Woman behind counter said yeah, no problem it will be done Tuesday evening. Wednesday evening I go to pick up, was shocked at the $40 for 2 dresses, never paid so much. Would have been worth it but when I looked at dresses, they were pressed that's it, didn't even look like they attempted to clean the stains. She asked me to leave for longer...no way, they weren't even gojng to tell me they couldn't get spots out. I asked for a refund and she said no way. Told me I could come back after my vacation and she would consider a discount, WHAT???? She also wouldn't tell me her name, terrible customer service. I am new customer that will Never return with business and will make sure I share with everyone I know. So disappointed, was hoping for a new great cleaner in this fabulous neighborhood. Expensive and unreliable. Their per-shirt price for laundry is significantly more than what is charged at cleaners down the hill in Issaquah. Plus, they have lost clothing of mine twice. Recently, they lost an expensive blazer, claimed never to have had it, then miraculously found it after I complained (falsely claiming I had given it it to them for cleaning the day I complained, when in fact I'd given it to them almost a month earlier). read more

They cleaned a brand new, expensive, angora sweater and then returned it shrunk several sizes. It was a long, loose sweater. Now it's tight and sits on my waist, with the sleeves at mid-forearm. I went back the next day with the sweater and the receipt (to show it was purchased in the last week). I was told I needed to take it back to the store and that they would do nothing about it since they did nothing wrong. However, it really looks like they washed it. read more
