This critique is one star. Andre's Dry Cleaning in Sammamish, on EastLake Sammamish Parkway_ display's a neon 'Alterations' sign on their store front, facing the parking lot.
I took my covered, just Dry Cleaned, beautiful black wool Top Coat into the Sammamish Andre's Dry cleaning to have its sleeves shortened by 1 inch. I explained to owner that his alterations staff needed to carefully shorten sleeves on top coat, he gladly accepted the top coat. & marked it accordingly, for alteration.
The Result:
1. I stopped by Andre's Dry Cleaning. to pick up the item.
The top Coat was covered with the normal dry cleaning plastic hanger cover, and then placed on hanging rack while i paid a $33.00 payment.
2. I removed the plastic cover, to my surprise to find the coat covered with lint, cat hair and who knows what! This was disgusting for the customer to see also showing very poor professionalism at Andre's Dry Cleaner. I was amazed that Andre's Dry Cleaning would hand an item over to their customer in such horrible condition - but I then put on the topcoat and checked the alteration of the sleeves. I realized immediately the extremely amateur tailoring work _here.
The sleeves must hang squarely and not have any curve at the fold line. In this case the sleeve bottom on right arm had a longer high area hanging across backside of my hand. and a rounded shorter inverted area on the inside of the same sleeve. Hard to describe this properly.
This is how sleeves must squarely drape. I_I on both Men's or Women's Outerwear sleeves. I think Andre's can improve. I will never return to Andre's Dry Cleaning, on Eastlake Sammamish Parkway, Sammamish WA. read more
