    My repaired button...
    Rick H.

I was traveling and have one suit jacket with me (love this jacket!), and I pulled the button out so that it was hanging by a thread. I called and Tricia got me sorted out in a jiffy! She even tidied up my jacket to boot! So nice to have somebody who can take care of things so quickly and conveniently! Thanks Bakkers!!!

These are three out of four items I took to Bakkers Dry Cleaning. Clearly NOT cleaned, black jacket still has debris from cashmere scarves

How do I do negative stars? I took in four garments, three jackets and one suit. The stains clearly pointed out as I dropped them off. I picked them up, sadly without looking at them. Two garments were to accompany me on an out of state interview. One black jacket still had debris from my cashmere scarves, a couple hairs and smelled of my YSL l'homme cologne. Clearly NOT cleaned and still had tinfoil wrappers on all the buttons. I immediately took pictures. The second jack had hot pot soup spilled on the front. When I got to my out of state location, I was shocked to find the jacket was in the same condition as when I dropped off at the dry cleaners. The third item was a Hart, Shaffner and Marx suit with a tomato stain on the sleeve. Again, the same condition as I dropped them off in....... The fourth item - my oldest and favorite jacket I believe was cleaned, came back with a broken button that I had not noticed previously. May or may not have been cleaned. Today I went back and requested a refund. Since I did not get service, I feel as though I have been taken advantage of and no longer trust them with any of my garments. I spoke to the owners wife to no avail. She referred me to the manager who refused to look at my pics or my jacket, saying they were cleaned, why would we not clean them???? I said exactly, why were they not cleaned??? I demanded owners wife Ruthie at that point, knowing she is a close friend of a friend of mine, I was sure they would be ethical and do the right thing. I got an icy we will only clean them for you. NO THANKS.... I said that's fine, they would not be happy with the yelp. So.....here I am. Not only this, I again wrote the same story to Bakkers 10-minutes ago again relating my appalling service. My next email is the BBB, I consider this fraud. The next is Attorney General for fraudulent charges, who knows, Jessie may be next. This is about service, this is about doing what is right. I am not sure how this attitude grows your company...I can tell you they do not guarantee satisfaction. As you can see from the pictures below, Ruthie and the store manager think these have been cleaned? I suggest new glasses and maybe a conscience. Clearly NOT cleaned.

I've just started using Bakker's (pronounced bockers) Fine Dry Cleaning because I had a 50% off coupon from the Entertainment book. The coupon is a little misleading, it's 50% off drycleaning, which I assumed included my dress shirts. Apparently, they are laundered, not dry cleaned. No big deal. One more thing, my collar stays are missing when I get my shirts back. Make sure to check! The manager today was nice and gave me a handful and let me know they will not go missing again. If you sign up for their e-mail list, you get 40% off of your drycleaning, which, essentially just brings them to the same prices as the surrounding dry cleaners (I've checked).

Drycleaners use my clothes to take notes... nice!

I've always been hesitant in the past to take my suits to a dry cleaner but Bakker's has given me a worry free option.

Complete DISASTER! Poor quality! Rude! Insulting!…read more In 3 months I tied this business in hopes they improve after first and second tries, 30% of items were cleaned poorly and I kept requesting to clean them again. Another 15% (white clothes items) were coming back with yellow stains on spots where I didn't have stains before. So much time got wasted on driving returning poorly cleaned things! The deal breaker, however, was the leather cleaning event. I brought a top notch designer leather jacket and leather pants for cleaning. They took those to pass to another cleaner. When I came back for pick up, luckily, I decided to check how well those were cleaned. The jacket looked as dirty as it was originally and my leather pants were ripped off on a butt and had two dark liquid drops. I practically cried! Instead of an apology, the store manager told me that it is how I brought those pants to them. When I started telling him how dare he was to tell such things to me, making me pay for the service while hiding the damage to the pants, he finally said that they will figure out something. They said that they have an insurance and if it doesn't work, they will give me store credit of at least $800 because pants were not new. The new pants cost is ~$2K if I want to buy the same brand. The whole story was drugging on for 2 months and I visited the store multiple times just to hear that they were still trying to resolve the issue. At some point I demanded to talk to the owner. They said that the owner told them NOT to give his contact information to me and that they are actually not responsible for anything. Since I have no receipt (why would I have it if I buy most of my clothes in Europe and I don't plan to return it back to the stores), they cannot file an insurance claim, besides, it is the other company damaged my pants, not them. They insisted that they are not liable for anything. When I asked the name of the company that damaged my pants, they refused to tell me the name either and said that they stopped business with them. At the end they told me NOT to come back because they could not help me. My next step was to file to the court. For that I need their UBI number which they also refused to provide. Sharing this information here in hopes that my story will save you from money loss and stress of dealing with unethical businesses.

The man on the phone said he wasn't sure about the price until I brought them in and that they could get them done by Wednesday afternoon. Perfect. Upon arriving to the store a bit later that day, the man working said he couldn't believe that the person on the phone told me they would be done by Wednesday because it usually takes them a week. He made a few calls and was able to assure that they would be done by Wednesday. I asked him approximately how much this would cost me and he looked at the curtains but could not give me any insight into how much it would cost. The curtains are blackout curtains from target. They are 50"W 95"L. I paid $74 for the both. I needed them hemmed 11". I should have known right then that when he didn't give me an estimate this could be problematic, however I trusted him and saw another reviewer on yelp mention they paid around $20 for curtains to be hemmed so I figured mine would cost approximately $20-40 since mine were lined and there were 2 of them. When I arrived to pick up the curtains I thanked the man for getting them done so quickly and he made a snide comment like "yeah we should have charged you extra for doing them so quickly" which I felt was a little rude as I was very gracious and thankful and was planning on giving a great tip. (Plus the guy on the phone said this was do-able) When he said they were $105 I was shocked. I could have NEVER imagined this price. I asked him "$105? Are you serious? How could it be so much??" He briefly explained that alterations are expensive these days. I called 4 different alterations spots in the Eastside area and they all gave me a quote of a minimum of $20 and maximum of $50 for the curtains. While I am relieved to have my curtains done in time, this was so unexpected for me and I would have really appreciated it if they could have given me some insight into how much this would cost beforehand. I paid way more for the alterations than the actual curtains. I will be taking my business elsewhere next time as I feel he took advantage of my naivety
