Coming in from Chicago and just wanted to get here so I left without getting my toes polished. I decided to get my toes polished here and support the black lady bad idea again!!! I asked for a simple polish change with regular nail polish, she states we don't have regular nail polish. We only do gel. I said to her, I will go across the street and purchase regular nail polish because I don't want to deal with the jail. I'm old school and if it's not broke, I don't fix it. She then magically comes up with regular nail polish, which she picked from a wall. There were no samples of pinks for me to choose from. She looked at the pink on my toes and try to match it. The pink was off by a few shades. No lining for the foot tub no toe separators so the polish of one toe kept sticking into my other toe. She put me under three different lights put on 56 different coats of polish now I've been getting my toes done for a while and this doesn't seem like regular nail polish Time to go ready to pay I asked what's my total she said $35 I said for a polish change that sound like gel prices. The owner then chime in and says no it's not. I know what you mean about the gel I don't like gel either. Faker than a $3 bill. I woke up the next day and I was missing polished from my whole toenail so I go back in ask the nail tech to call the owner. She did not wanna be bothered. The nail tech was on the phone while fixing what her coworker screwed up. The front of the place say.zin nails wow they are running a whole beauty salon in the back with hair, braiders and hairstylist. That's probably not license, but I will call the state cosmetology board and check into it.. The attitudes, the atmosphere, the prices, the service, the quality all gears, thirsty, unprofessional, on license, uneducated, no hospitality, rundown, and needs to be shut down.

I have been going to city nail bar pretty regularly since 2019, i am pretty busy so I never stuck…read moreto only one specific nail tech and everyone at City Nail is so talented that it has never been an issue after countless times getting my nails done. The space is very clean, they offer tea, sparkling water, and other fun drinks when you check in. They run on scheldue basically 100% of the time. They have great color options and do a great job keeping my nails looking healthy. I recently moved away from downtown Indy and after trying a handful of salons and being super underwhelmed I've decided to start traveling to get my service done at City Nail Bar. This place is amazing. 10/10 would suggest booking, I promise you won't be disappointed

This business has multiple locations; this review is for 71 N. New Jersey St., Indianapolis, IN…read more46204. The review is for Friday, Sept. 18 2026. I first visited this nail salon in 2025 while I was in town for business. I knew I would be in town today with a colleague, and weeks ago I booked matching appointments online so we could both get a pedicure at the same time. I was happy when I saw that the website had an option for "Group Bookings". I went through each prompt to book the two appointments at the same time. I requested Jamia for my gel pedicure with removal, and my colleague was happy to have any artist and wanted a different type of pedicure. When we entered the business and spoke to the receptionist (did not get her name), she told me that the appointments were not booked at the same time but were instead booked back-to-back. I showed her the confirmation email showing it stated the appointments at 3:30pm with two artists scheduled for the two services requested. She said, "Oh, people do that all the time but really just want one appointment for themselves." This made no sense. I explained I went through each prompt on the website and specifically selected two services for two different people. It didn't matter. The receptionist didn't care. During our conversation, I asked if she thought I had booked two appointments for myself; why didn't anyone contact me to confirm? She said, " Well, that's not my job to do that." She essentially said we could wait and do the appointments back-to-back, or we could leave, and she would cancel. The lack of empathy and attitude about the entire thing was rude and unprofessional. When my colleague and I sat down in their waiting chairs, there was trash: an empty water bottle and another that was left half full. Another immediate turnoff and lack of care from the staff. When it was finally time for my pedicure, Jamia got set up. For the entire appointment, she had two earpieces in, and multiple times she changed the music she was listening to on her phone. I know that you offer a 'silent appointment,' and I did not select this option. A positive: Jamia gave a great massage, and I do like the color she helped me pick. The management needs to pay more attention to this location. As someone who works in customer service, I find that your staff lacks basic care and customer service. DO NOT recommend this business and will NOT return.

My mom picked this place because it wasn't too far away from her house. We go there and I'm already skeptical because area but then we go in... the two black young ladies are sitting at the desks at the front and the two Asian ladies and gentleman is in the back... there was only one person getting serviced in the salon. We asked for the next available appointment. The black lady with the very colorful hair states her and her teammate were free and could take me and my mom. I was excited because I had never had a black lady so my nails. 1.) the black lady that took me came from outside. When she sat down the strong aroma of marijuana was so strong that it made me dizzy. 2.) She was not attentive, kind, or customer service friendly... she barley said anything to me. She was twisting my fingers to file. She was extremely rough file using the drill. 2.5) the nails were all different types of thickness. Some were bulky and some were super thin. Didn't notice this until we left. 3.) I got a fill and polish change ONLY. She charges me $60 bucks. I flat out asked her how was this possible because it was a fill and polish... she said "that's my price. I do this as a side hustle. I make my prices". (I literally thought this was a joke) 1.) The black lady with the colorful hair assisted my mom. My mom got a full set, shellac, and a pedicure. She was fairly happy with her nail tech. She was friendly, very tentative, and upbeat. The only thing about her is she took about 2 hours. 2.) My moms nails were about the same as mine. Some thick and some thin. 3.) My mom was charged $25 bucks. (I didn't know this until we left. As soon as we left one of my moms nails (a thin nail) broke. I called the nail salon and asked to speak to a manager or owner. The Asian gentleman stated that would be him. I asked him about my pricing vs. my moms pricing and if the two black ladies were licensed ... he pretended he no longer spoke English. Long story short I ended up calling my credit card company and disputing the charges and won. This shop is allowing no licensed people to work in their shop.
