I did like this place but sat and waited in my chair for 30 min even though I had an appointment. This messed up the rest of the day since it took 1 hour and 40 min for a pedicure. Just not great timing for a busy mom. I had my daughter with me and we went after school pick up so thankfully I had work and school done with the delay. Appointment was at 330 and walked out at 510. I had a great experience at bliss nails! They were meticulous and took their time with my manicure. I had not so great nails beforehand and they were patient as they made them so much better. The salon was clean and I was able to walk in with only a short wait. One little thing I would change about my experience would be dosing some background music or tv as the salon was very silent when I was there. This is my absolute new go-to nail salon. I walked in at about 4:30 on a Friday, where there was of course a line. I was immediately greeted by the owner and was given an honest estimate of the wait time (which is my first high point, as other places tend to provide a rushed time in hopes of getting you to stay) selected a color and sat down to wait for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Once it was my turn, the owner again thanked me for my patience and immediately made me feel appreciated as a customer. Now for the services, I never once felt rushed, despite the growing line behind me. Both of my technicians made pleasant conversation and really took their time. Both asked if I was satisfied with my color choice before they continued on and had impeccable attention to detail. Once I was finished and leaving, both technicians thanked me by name and one even gave me a hug. I love Bliss. After trying every nail place in Bripp, this is my easy go-to for manicures. The owners are the kindest people and know exactly what they're doing. I always leave with the BEST nail shape and feeling so fresh! They are seriously acrylic experts. They also have an amazing color selection, and are really good at color matching if they are out of something or if you show them a picture. The one tip I will give is they usually dont say the wait time unless you ask, so if you are on a time crunch definitely ask them how long it will be and they'll give you the honest answer. read more

While my toes and nails turned out well, I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this salon. To begin, the ambiance was very dull. No music, no TV, dark, and no conversation. This would have been fine if I had good service. However, they used a large coarse attachment for the nail drill that was painful. After seeing the discomfort in my face they asked if it was painful and I noted yes. However, they continued on without changing anything. I have had this done before at other salons and it has never been painful. Also, the station was not clean. There was nail dust everywhere and I was expected to lean my elbows on the cold, hard counter for over an hour. I had three different nail technicians (for some odd reason) and had to explain the style I wanted more than once. Additionally, they used passive aggressive gestures and agressive physical cues to hold my hands in a different position. They then made a mistake on my nails, which would have been fine if they didn't blame me for not having my nails dry enough. I was not told to diligently dry my hands/nails or aware that it was an expectation for me to know that I needed to do that. As a result, they had to redo my nails. What normally would have taken about 1 hour or so, took 2+. I paid $120 with a $10 tip for a horrible experience. Again, my nails did turn out fairly well. But I will not be returning due to my poor experience. read more

I used to love this salon. I was excited to get a new set of nails post-quarantine. Oh goodness, I don't know what happened in the few months I didn't go. I arrived at around 5:15pm, which is well before closing time. However, I felt like I was /that/ customer who came in 2 minutes to close. I don't know my technician's name but he seemed less than enthused to help me. He put in his earbuds and didn't talk to me at all. He talked to his coworkers plenty though. Every 10 minutes, he had to switch to a new video on YouTube. I told him I needed my nails cut short because I work at a computer all day. Each time I told him "shorter", he seemed more and more irritated. I was like forget it at that point. I got a gel polish and in some way the polish smudged and lost any form of shine. There is usually a wait, but I don't mind waiting if the service is great. I waited for over an hour today for bulky nails. I have now visited three nail salons within about 2 blocks of each other (the other two being Style Nail and Lotus Spa & Nails, across from each other on 62nd St). Nothing extraordinary about Bliss. It's your average nail salon. Their massage chairs are the industry norm, they have a nice collection of colors (both regular and gel), and their prices are comparable to most other nail salons. My manicurist was very detail oriented, which I appreciated. She wanted to make sure that each nail was perfect and made a few corrections along the way. She also didn't skimp on the massage portion of the mani/pedi experience. I feel like we had to wait a little long, but it was in the evening and my mother and I wanted to be seen at the same time, so I expected some waiting. All said and done, I would recommend Bliss. Loved this place! I've went over a month since moving here without getting my nails done because I was weary of trying out a new place. The lady that did my nails shaped them perfectly! She was very careful with taking care of my nail beds. And she was super sweet as well. I also noticed going back to wash my hands that they had their sanitation unit out in the open and everything bagged (the tattoo shop opening new needles, those bags) which was a relief And I also saw them opening new files, clippers, etc when doing the ladies pedicures.
