I've been going to Focus Nail Salon often on for years. Jasmine is great and I love her work. She squeezed me in this time to do a pedicure and a new set of nails. My only complaint is the lack of signage for pricing and the extra for smoothing of my callouses that is usually included. She is definitely a consummate professional and I do think she makes you feel right at home. I also got to see how well she takes care of her elderly clients and their feet. So I have been going to focus nails at least for this year I usually go for a pedicure but this was my first time getting a manicure. I will say that Ella is definitely my favorite she's caring kind and make sure is it that I get exactly what I want when it comes to my feet. The rest of the staff is very friendly too and my sister actually gets her nails and feet done by the owner so she recommended this place. Reasonable prices and the customer service overall. This was my first visit to this salon, but I definitely plan on coming back! I was a walk-in. I was immediately checked-in and seated in a chair. Susie did an amazing job on my chrome, gel nails and coffin shape using my natural nails. My pedicure was super cute and the nails weren't cut too short. They weren't too sharp either! I've been coming here for years my go to person was jasmine. But now my go to person is Julie she is amazing and is always willing to learn new trendy nails and always makes me feel comfortable while getting my nails done. The inside is beautiful as always everyone that works there are very nice Julie and Tony are who I speak to the most when I'm in there. She has never missed on my nails I always go in with a picture and they look no different then the picture besides me wanting a different shape and she knows I don't like squared shape so she does something to make it look cute and how I like it. I always recommend Julie to my friends when they ask where do I go for nails. Every set I've ever had from Julie has lasted me over a month I have to start messing with them to get them all off her skills are amazing when it comes to nails. This might be my go-to nail salon. Jasmine will now be my nail tech . I had visited a few months ago, but I won't be taking too long before I come again. We all like to come get our nails done and get a good deal while at it; but sometimes feel uncomfortable when there's a language barrier, you don't get that here. This salon is very clean and always professional-two very important things I need when getting any kind of service. Jasmine and her team always do a great job of making you feel welcome and I love that about this nail salon. I'm from the East Coast so I like to get creative designs and all that, I love that Jasmine is always ready to accommodate. My third visit to Focus Nail Salon and I've left pleased every time. They have a great color selection for both normal manicures and gel. The employees are all very friendly and are quick to ask you how your day is going but will take your cue as to whether you'd like to chat the entire time or not (which I really like). The environment is serene with 1 television on the back wall. Viewable from all seats. As for my manicure I'd give it a 3/5. I've definitely had a better manicure experience in terms of the attention to detail during cleaning, polishing, and the massage. Not to mention during my most recent visit my bowl of water was cold and she skipped out on cleaning under my nails. But overall, my nails always come out clean and looking well polished. Can't complain about the finished product. They are a great place to go when you need a quick fix (no charge for a peeling gel nail) and need a decent manicure. But I wouldn't say it's the best place to go when you want excellent pampering. read more

I really wanted to love this place. I really liked the ladies and we always had good conversation. They did a decent job on my nails but after a while, they continued to put gel after gel after gel manicure on my damaged nails and it really messed them up. To the point that I had to cut them down and start over. I made at least three appointments and either the nail tech was busy with someone else and I had to wait an hour or they weren't even at the shop (morning appointment). Hands down the only time I ever like to be whistled at! :) The owner Jasmine and her sister Jessica, are passionate about their trade and being well educated in ALL techniques and styles: Nail Sculpting, Silk wrap, Acrylic, Gels, etc. I came in with acyclic overlay and a few broken nails. I, personally like long nails and I was not looking forward to getting tips put on those fingers because it never matches the natural shape of the others. Jasmine did a beautiful job sculpting the broken nails to look natural. Now, let's not forget the plethora of gel colors and nail polishes. WOW! Trust, that what I am talking about, is rare to find in Indy. This place has it ALL! If your looking for high quality, clean, classy decor, comfortable stations, and a very warm caring ambience with a few laughs before you leave. This place is a MUST!!! This was my first visit here. I have heard wonderful things about this Salon and have been looking for a regular nail salon to get my pedicures and to start getting my manicures. I booked my appointment through Yelp and even checked them out (online) through Yelp. So I saw the prices and everything that they offered. I booked and made sure to ask for a certain person that I saw many people through the reviews stated was the best at doing pedicures. However, once they sent my confirmation email my appointment was with someone else. I arrived to my appointment on time, picked my color and did not wait long to be seated and my pedicure started. They lady that did my pedicure did a good job. But when it came time for me to pay what I was told online was the price for my pedicure was jacked up $10 more dollars. I am not a fan of being told one price and then told something else completely different. Not very professional and a good look for my first time there. read more

This place does a pretty good job on pedicures but the manicures are some of the worst I've ever gotten. They overbook themselves and become very rushed a sloppy. I would never again get gel polish from this salon. It was put on Saturday am and peeled off by Sunday pm. However it was only $12 so you pretty much get what you pay for. Have been here several times as its local for me and generally service was OK at best. Prices are average to high. Acetone smell can be overwhelming at times. Very broken English by clinicians so communication can be a problem but reason for only one star is recently I left a tip on a 5 minute eyebrow wax and my $2 tip on the $10 service charge "accidentally" turned into a $12 tip on my charge card. "Oops" says the owner. Yeah right. I will not be back. You can't throw a stone within a 5 mile radius of my neighborhood without hitting a nail salon so taking my business elsewhere will not be a problem. I have a prosthetic leg, and after asking how much for 1 leg for a pedicure, the woman loudly said multiple times"1 LEG?1?1" and laughed, and laughed, and laughed. My nail technician Maria was friendly and knowledgeable and I was pampered from the moment I sat down in the massage chair to soak my feet. I was thoroughly spoiled for an hour and the owner Jessica was friendly and helpful and also cuts hair. I will give that service a try on a return visit. This is my first review and my first visit to Focus Nail Salon on Allisonville Rd. There were two technicians, ladies, there and there were only two patrons, during my visit. I wanted a simple pedi and mani. The experience was pleasant but I doubt if I'd go back. The lady put on three coats of polish that never really dried. Needless to say the polish on my toes and fingernails all messed up. It was a waste of money and I wish I decided to go somewhere else. I start a new job tomorrow. read more
