Relief I had been irritated in that area for some time do to low estrogen in my body. I have to keep a Brazillian wax, as the cleaner area makes my life so much more comfortable, with that being said I am 3+ years in. Janay (Carmel location) is EVERYTHING!!!! She takes her time and will even get out the tweezers to ensure the entire area is clean. Every time I leave her, I have a baby smooth area with a Peppermint tingle. Not sure how I haven't reviewed this place! I see Kayla on the regular and seriously love it! The prices haven't changed in the 3 years I've been going. When prepping for my wedding they even gave me the 4-1-1 on when to wax prior to spray tan, etc. They run a tight ship, and services are always on-time. Monkey is always professional when scheduling, paying, etc. The decor is adorable playing up the monkey theme but in a way that is fun. They always have a special item for sale that usually changes each visit. I bought a loofah for the shower which a year later is still an amazing investment. Watch for groupons, and facebook likes for discounts. I usually take advantage of the book ahead option. I don't go year round so when I returned to prep for summer I had a new person. I did a search and found the Naked Monkey. I called and booked my appointment and was told what I needed to do prior to arriving. The day of my appointment, I was a bit nervous (worried that waxing the underarms would be painful!) but I was put completely at ease by the staff. They made this experience so effortless. At all times, they were efficient, professional and informative. I wish I had found them sooner! I have since been back for a second appointment for the armpits, bikini and brows and already have 2 more appointments scheduled. For those three areas, I was in and out of there within 30 minutes. The staff is SO nice and pleasant. They use various types of waxes for the different types of body hair, which leaves you very smooth! Mary Witt is amazing at her job! She makes you feel very comfortable. She is speedy and bikini waxes are much less painful with her due to her technique and use of the various waxes. I'm not connoisseur of waxing places, but I find that the Naked Monkey is a reliable spot to get my furrowed brow properly arched and beautiful. They use a wax and products that doesn't really irritate my skin, which is awesome. This is purely a hair removal place, so don't mistake it for a spa. It's comfortable and clean and all that, but there are no robes, no cucumber water, etc. But for a sensable brow wax, it's where I continue to go. And they can generally fit me in last minute or within the week for sure. read more

I had been avoiding getting my eyebrows waxed for weeks before I decided to go in. I was nervous that it would be painful as my thick, dark hair always makes waxing painful. I cannot say enough good things about The Naked Monkey. I have been going there for brazilians for over 2 years. I was a regular client of Brittany's until she left for maternity leave and now I see Stacy. Brittany was professional, FAST, and HILARIOUS. Brit was the fastest waxer I have ever experienced, I was literally out of there within 15 minutes. Stacy is quick and does a great job as well. The salon itself is very clean and welcoming. I make all my appointments via email so its very convenient. The pricing is reasonable, you can get 3 Brazilian waxes for $150 (usually $75 each) so that to me is a great deal. The packages never expire and you never feel pressured to purchase at your visit. They also have a lot of tips on how to save money with their services on their website. I will never go back here again. I have been a consistent client for over 6 years with appointments every month. They reopened and I went in for an appointment and had to take my kids because I cannot leave them alone only for one of the staff members to be very rude and told me I need to leave my kids were not allowed in. How was I suppose to know?! No one communicated that to me. Also they require face masks. Again no communication and told me I should have looked at their website. Why would I look at their site?!? They contacted me about setting up an appointment! No one told me. Incredibly rude. No compassion or kindness and the staff member judging me and rude get over yourself! You will not got clients treating people like that. I understand having policies to reopen especially during these times. You are missing the point when you think that is an opportunity to treat your clients like dirt. The woman who spoke to me had a look and tone of disgust as how dare I step foot in your establishment. There are a way to handle things, period! It is called CUSTOMER SERVICE. If that woman approached me and said I am sorry ma'am unfortunately due to circumstances we cannot allow children. I would have said oh wow I am so sorry I did not realize and politely left. No. She was very rude and the other staff members did not step in and try to recover in any way. Regardless of policies, circumstances, etc if you do not have customer service you do not have customers. At least not loyal, good paying that are faithful for over 6 years and very good tippers. I ONLY let Naked Monkey salons wax me, PERIOD. I have extremely sensitive skin and they are the only people who know how to wax me without breaking out or having a reaction. They are also really great at listening to you and what you want. They aren't cheap, but use their app and play the match game to get $10 off, I do this every time and makes if affordable! I have been frequenting The Naked Monkey for a few years and I have given them good business but they lost it today. I had an appointment a simple eyebrow wax and rushed in five minutes late with a toddler in tow. Well I was told the person I had an appointment with took her other client because they were early and I was late and they had no more appointments today. Because I had to fill a new card I was now told I was seven minutes late and I could reschedule for another day. I have been going here without missing or canceling an appointment for three years and five minutes late they took their other client. Not to mention I have waited over 10 minutes at times because they were running late but did not complain because that is the way t goes, I know. However, though I walked in the door frazzled, the receptionist was so graciously welcoming, she instantly helped turn my day around. And that was nothing compared to the flash facial from Danielle. The first time I got a brazilian wax was great. The second time, I can't remember who waxed me but the woman waxed about 1-1.5 inches down my thighs, which means now I have hair where I didn't before! It's very annoying that now I have to deal with hair on my thighs where I didn't have it before. I will only go to the naked monkey for my waxing. I have seen a couple of different people here and they have all been fabulous. Amanda is my favorite, she is so friendly and makes you laugh the entire time she is waxing you so it honestly makes it so much easier. No one really LOVES to get a brazillian but most everyone loves the results. I have been to other places in Indy and they were all total nightmares.
