Overall, I think this group of ladies was very professional, but I am disappointed with my hair and make-up execution. When I reached out to Salon 1|4 to do my trials, I didn't see these two items as being missed, but were unfortunately missed on my wedding day. Malia did my hair and although the curls are beautiful, she didn't part my hair straight. I have naturally dark hair and very pale skin, so my crooked hair part was very noticeable in many of my wedding photos. I did tell Malia too what kind of part I had, but she didn't bother to straighten it. Tara did my make-up, which she is very good at! The big miss on her end is that my eyeliner and/or fake lashes were not even across my eyes. Again, this was very noticeable in many up closed wedding photos of mine. It's really a big bummer and makes me sad looking through my photos. We didn't have mirrors in our getting ready space, which I regret significantly, but regardless, I really wish these ladies did a better job double checking their work before calling me done. I spent over $2000 on hair and make-up for 8 ladies, including myself. I was certainly expecting a more polished finish. I'd recommend looking at another salon or company before considering Salon 1|4 for your wedding.

Coming home realizing there's obvious huge random chunks of unchopped hair. I cut it immediately because it made me cringe. I'm still finding unevenness that I will fix myself because I'm no longer trusting anyone especially no one here. I asked for layers and I'm so grateful she DID NOT LISTEN TO ME :) because I can't imagine how disgusting it would've been if probably be better shaving my head bald. I asked for bangs and she cut about 20 hairs to make the beautiful waterfall bangs I asked for. Her name is ALLISON. She seems to have no experience or common sense at all? I have no education in hair and I know when something is CLEARLY WRONG. I'm not confrontational and thought maybe I was just seeing everything wrong but I came home and it was indeed worse than I could imagine. She insisted on curling my hair too now I know why it's harder to see how shitty of a hairstylist you are when your hair is curly! Absolutely horrible. If she works here I would not trust ANYONE here. Please no one deserves this. Especially a mom who does nothing for herself. Do yourself a favor. Heartbroken.

I made an appointment on-line (all services are by appointment only) and Amanda responded back within 30 minutes to confirm! On the day of my visit Amanda was pleasant and conversational (which was a nice distraction from the waxing!). She was quick and made the process as painless as could be expected for any hair removal. I was in and out in about 7 minutes! I'll be back! Tip: Amanda prefers to have services paid in cash. If a card is all you've got, be prepared for a $1 service charge.

I was extremely nervous because I had never had a Brazilian, but Amanda was able to put me at ease within the few e-mail exchanges we had. When I arrived, I pretty much exclaimed that I was feeling a little awkward about having a stranger in my crotchal region, as I like to call it. Of course...it's her job. She sees all manner of hoo-ha daily. So...I said the hell with it, flung my pants off, and she went to work. Conversation flowed easily, there was laughter, and before I knew it the hair was gone. It wasn't completely painless...but it was my first time after all. It wasn't the most painful thing I've experienced at all. It was over in under half an hour. I was give tips on after care as well. I could not be more pleased with my decision, and I will definitely be returning!

Beautiful and modern but approachable and comfortable salon spaces with an elegant, French vibe. The treatment rooms are cozy and featured lovely French music that was perfect for the setting. He walked me through all the phases of the facial and the benefits! Knowing the experience David has in this industry and the great esthetician offerings he has was definitely a reason I booked. I also scheduled a hair consultation with Mary after my facial to discuss some sizeable challenges I was having with my hair. I was able to get scheduled shortly after on an evening appointment (which are on Thursdays as of the time of this review). Mary spent a lot of time talking with me on what I wanted, what my problem areas/concerns were with my existing color, how we could make a plan and made sure we were both very comfortable before the color went in! I am just thrilled with the outcome and she is an expert colorist! She was very transparent about pricing and realistic expectations with what we could and could not do in order to achieve the best outcome. All while trying to figure out my hair as a new client. I had visited the salon a couple of years ago during a Yelp Elite event and was so excited to return for some wonderful appointment experiences!! You can choose from a chart of existing colors or completely make your own. They will ask you some questions to see if you are more of a cool or warm tone person, do you want frost (think light shimmer, not 1980's!) matte, gloss, cream base. You can even flavor it with pink champagne or raspberry truffle! I love bright colors so that's what we went with. You watch them make it right before your eyes. Legit, one of the coolest things I've ever experienced! I love my new colors! One is bright magenta and the other one just has some more red in it along with a touch of frost and moisturizer! Highly recommend checking out this new addition!

I looked on her social media, and was intrigued by the services she offered along with her before and after photos. I was able to set an appointment within the Yelp app which was very convenient. I've been getting my brows waxed for years by different waxing professionals, but Trisha was the first to actually map out my face to figure out where my arch should be and the length of my brow to fit my face. I feel like I'm in good hands as we begin this road of redemption for my brows. I'm also looking forward to trying a lash lift at my next appointment.

She can rehab brows that are barely there or overplucked and get them on point over a few sessions. I recently decided to go for lash extensions because my natural lashes are short and hate holding onto a curl. Now I'm addicted! I look much more put together even on my no makeup days (usually the same as my gym days) now that my lashes are more conspicuous! She does classic lashes, volume lashes, and "unicorn" (colorful) lashes! Whatever look you're going for, she can help you get there.
