I called her and left a voicemail, and she called back and left a voicemail a day later. I called her back a couple days after that and left another voicemail... and didn't hear back for 2 weeks. I had to try 3 more times to finally get a hole of her. Normally by that point I would have given up but I paid for the gift certificate and didn't want to lose it. When I made it to the salon for my finally-schedueled appointment, it was very nice. I wasn't greeted super promptly but within a couple minutes, and I was offeredf a glass of water, wine, or beer. i took the wine (of course). My stylist was running about 10 minutes late but no one bothered to tell me. What saved this review is the awesome job that Rachel did on my hair. It really looks beautiful. Perfectly placed highlights and nice long layers with lots of movement and bounce. The styling lasted all day as well. Each stylist sets their own prices as well, so I don't know what's normal there as far as prices, hours, and services offers. My total was $130 for the highlights and cut, then the $50 off. For the qualiy of the work I think it was a fair price. I may or may not go back depending on how hard it is to get a hold of her again!

Lexi is hands down one of the best stylists I've ever had. I have a lot of thick hair, and she handled it with so much patience, care, and attention to detail. I had a packed and stressful day, but sitting in her chair felt like a chance to slow down and breathe for a bit. Overall, I think this group of ladies was very professional, but I am disappointed with my hair and make-up execution. When I reached out to Salon 1|4 to do my trials, I didn't see these two items as being missed, but were unfortunately missed on my wedding day. Malia did my hair and although the curls are beautiful, she didn't part my hair straight. I have naturally dark hair and very pale skin, so my crooked hair part was very noticeable in many of my wedding photos. I did tell Malia too what kind of part I had, but she didn't bother to straighten it. Tara did my make-up, which she is very good at! The big miss on her end is that my eyeliner and/or fake lashes were not even across my eyes. Again, this was very noticeable in many up closed wedding photos of mine. It's really a big bummer and makes me sad looking through my photos. We didn't have mirrors in our getting ready space, which I regret significantly, but regardless, I really wish these ladies did a better job double checking their work before calling me done. I spent over $2000 on hair and make-up for 8 ladies, including myself. I was certainly expecting a more polished finish. I'd recommend looking at another salon or company before considering Salon 1|4 for your wedding.
