I've been three times now and my hair color has never looked so good!! The salon experience is wonderful start to finish.

I use to go to splash many years ago, So I thought I would try again First, the salons interior has changed, but the decor is very dated and it doesn't feel like a high scale or luxurious salon anymore. I will say, on a POSITIVE note My stylist, Mackenzy was awesome! she did my color , cut and style as I requested and was a a young lady with great talent and wonderful listening skills. ON Another note, I must say that there were a few stylist in the back and at the shampoo bowl that were extremely loud and I'm not sure what was being said as it was in Spanish and at first I thought maybe these were other clients, no it actually was the stylist talking to each other in Spanish and extremely loudly and for long periods of time! they didn't seem to be aware about any of the other clients in the salon. All of the stylist seem to be doing shampoos and color which all looked awesome, but if the volume at the bowl would have been quieter while I was in my chair, I would have been more relaxed. I will return although because I loved my hair. read more

I hate to be that person but I just want to be honest. I made an appointment. I came. I waited. They said they didn't feel comfortable doing my hair ("your type of hair" as it was put). I have tightly coiled natural hair. I would have had to wait an hour for a stylist who is more comfortable with "textured hair". I didn't have that much extra time to wait. They were very nice. I appreciate that they didn't want to mess up my hair but at the same time it just made me feel rejected in a way. I ended up going to a different place on a whim that was pretty cheap but did a great job. Nothing against them. I just wouldn't recommend to those to have coily hair. read more

The salon charged me the full price of a haircut for a missed appointment. Once I saw the transaction on my credit card, I called Splash and was informed that it was their decision to charge me the full price for the missed haircut. I obviously was not going to go back to Splash after that conversation. I later found out by a hair stylist at Splash that there was a misunderstanding/error in their system, and I never missed my appointment. The employee informed me that she would make it right, but she never did. A few weeks after being charged full price for an imaginary hair appointment, I got a notification that my haircut appointment was coming up. I had to call them and ask them why they would schedule me for another hair appointment after how I was treated. I was very surprised they scheduled me a new hair appointment without asking me and after they charged me full price for a missed haircut appointment. The professionalism of this salon is questionable. read more

I haven't done anything with my hair in a loooong time. Just quick basic cuts, no color etc. Finally decided to start treating myself and made an appointment. Got paried with Cianna. Told her I had no idea, other than I wanted a little zing of color - maybe something underneath? And she helped me pick a color and a gameplan. We did just a hint of this gorgeous red/purple/cherry cola-ish color underneath, and a medium brown to cover up a few of my grays (I mean, a few of my strands of glitter, lol) And then she put a couple long soft layers in (havent had layers like , ever, and was very apprehensive). I think it turned out great. I'm already thinking about how we might up the game next time I go back. :) Pricewise, we came out to $155 (before tip) for the cut & color, which included a $40 conditioning treatment. Not sure if that treatment its somehtign I'll need every time, but it was worth doing this time. Also, Cianna recommend some hair care and products but did not push a hard sell (which was very nice). The salon was pretty busy when I was there (a Friday afternoon) and all the other clients looked like they were getting great cuts/colors as well. Since it was my first time there, I have nothing to compare but I *think* maybe some of the salon was a little under construction - maybe a bit of a remodel, becuase the seating area under the dyers and some of the area area around the washing station was a little cramped (not "spa" feeling) - but based on other reviews about hte atmosphere, I'm guessing this might be temporary. I've been living in Indy since 2016 and hadn't found a hair stylist that understood how to style and treat my hair.... then I called Splash and was matched with Skylar and now the rest is history. I came in not know what to expect. It was easy to make an appointment and they were able to fit me in that same day. Very nice salon and clean and pretty. The ladies were nice and I had been paired up with Madeleine and she had my hair laid out. I got my hair colored red. She went over the prices with me so I knew what I was paying for. She was nice to talk to and honest with what she was doing with my hair. The chair that you sit in when getting your hair washed was amazing. It's a full back massage chair, very relaxing! I've been going to Splash for about a year now to get my hair cut and I make sure to always visit Skylar! They were the only ones who could take me at the time I needed my haircut (and during the pandemic), and I'm glad that happened otherwise I wouldn't have met my favourite stylist. For the first time ever since I started getting my hair done, I'm actually happy after I get my haircuts. Normally I'm not because I've noticed over the years that I keep getting the Rachel (from Friends) haircut and that's not what I want. Sure, it looks okay on me, but it's not me. Until one day Skylar worked her magic on my hair and, a session later, we finally got it down to the kind of cut that I like that I feel like is my signature cut -- at least for 2021 and up until next year...? I haven't decided if the bangs are going anywhere yet... Probably not as I've grown to love my round face. I decided to take the plunge and get my hair dyed a few days ago -- okay balayage so nothing too drastic. My oh my Skylar is the first person to NOT turn my hair copper and say that's how it's going to be. (Copper as in... Do y'all remember the copper highlights of the early 00s? I do. I had them. That is not the look for me.) She got my highlights to a nice chocolatey brown that we're going to lighten in the next session. I can't wait!! Bonus: I'm quiet, and don't warm up to people in a snap so I'm extremely happy that Skylar didn't force me to talk and let the conversation flow naturally! They got me in same day and even tho I had to get a few inches off she left me looking nice and not jacked up like every other time I have to go a little shorter than I'd like showed me how to style it even though I don't think I'll be able to do it and even without the extra treatment they recommend which I will be getting next time my hair felt so much better soft and looks great forgot to take a before and after but I have at least an okay after pic lol read more

Ok so I went online to find the absolute best colorist in Indianapolis, IN . Splash salon caught my eye so I figured I'd give it a try. Well I was not disappointed. Jacqueline and Kiersten went above and beyond to give me exactly what I asked for. They went from taking my box dyed red hair to a copper going in to blonde balayage. Not an easy task for sure!! But I love love love my hair and honestly the best dye job I've ever had in my life. They also have thee best customer service everyone was so sweet and they make sure you are comfortable with a luxury experience while getting pampered. I'm from Vegas and I didn't have time to do my hair for my birthday coming up so my husband told me I can get it done when we get to Indiana so I yelped this salon which has great reviews and got an appointment for the next day. I got the haircut/highlight lowlight option. The salon chose Maddie to be my hair stylist and I could not have had the perfect girl for what I wanted! She was just the nicest person and so bubbly I felt so comfortable with her. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did it exactly how I wanted my hair and it came out perfect! This is such a late review but I want to review this place! I'm constantly going to different salons and never pleased,It took me so long to find a salon that is good with dark hair and when i saw all the good reviews and photos of this place I had to try it for my birthday! I was assigned with Maddi and I asked for ashy hair. The formula was messed up but i wasn't even mad because my hair still looked so blended and beautiful! However, it was pretty light and blonde for me to pull off and told her I still wanted the ashy hair and she told me that was perfectly fine and was able to fit me in another day right away to fix it (free of charge!) she did so well! I was so happy with my hair and recommend anyone who is brunette or has dark hair to go to Maddi. She will get you right! read more

I also loved the color of my hair and they did such a good job with that. My only complaint was how short they cut my hair. Amazing staff very helpful and I love the personal attention that they give in extreme attention to detail and honesty about what color or style that they think would look really good on you. I went for my birthday and have never been to this one and I was a little nervous but they made me and my mother feel right at home and I was extremely happy with my beautiful hair color... I was expecting to get highlights or frosting but because my hair is so thin they let me know that it would actually make my hair look better and tell me of a secret Little weapon of hair dye that would help show up the different shades I already have in my hair of dark brown light brown it was natural and a little bit of Gray and instead of doing the highlights or frosting like I said they told me the truth and it came out exactly what they said and I ended up with like four or five different colors.. much much better than I was imagining or anticipating! I would love to show a pic but unfortunately the picture that was said doesn't really show off the different colors but it was definitely an experience that I will never forget and hope that I get to go again for my next birthday.lol read more

(My first extension experience)DO NOT GO HERE! I went here to get my hair done. When i showed up nobody knew who was supposed to do my hair. After waiting 30 + minutes the Owner of the salon took my appointment. I was happy to hear I would be getting taken care of by the most experienced hair stylist "so you would think" she put my extensions in so tight i felt like my hair was ripping out of my head. She told me this was normal well ITS NOT! When u called to get help after having a migraine for 2 days they told me basically I was SOL. And treated very rude. I think great clips would have done a better job! Take your time and money anywhere but here trust me! read more
