My friend recommended going to Method Salon for a haircut and I could not have been more pleased with my experience! My hairdresser was Tim and he did a fantastic job! I have always had nice, thick, and generally long hair. However during quarantine I did some diy hair dye and hair cuts. Constantly trying to dye my own hair and lifting color myself damaged the lower half of my hair to where it was constantly frizzy, tangled, and there was a lot of breakage. I tried to do hair masks every two days to try to get my hair back to its normal healthy state, but no luck. So I went in to Method Salon to chop off all of the damaged hair. I told Tim, as I have told all of my past hairdressers, to do whatever he thought would look best and to cut off what was needed to make my hair look healthy! Tim did a fantastic job of working with me to find a style that would flatter my face shape and making sure that I was ok with the length! I ended up buying two of the products that Tim used on my hair too-- the Oribe Dry Shampoo and the Oribe Split End Seal. They smell heavenly and make my hair look like I just stepped out of a salon. I was looking for a new salon and like many I am very particular about my hair. I loved that the salons Instagram page had their stylist tagged which allowed me to see their work so when I got paired with my stylist I was excited to see what she had done already and felt like I was in good hands. Walking into the salon they share the entrance with 3 other businesses. There is like a waiting area out in the shared lobby but the salon doesn't have a real waiting area inside. They have a mini store of clothing, jewelery and products you can browse. I felt a lil in the way when I arrived and waited since I wasn't sure where to go or do. However my stylist came and got me and after that it was all great. They offered me a drink and the entire service was great. My girl did the style I wanted, took her time and did a great job with my highlights. Condensed: See the pics of what I asked for (long photo on left), a pic of a previous service I have gotten in the past (from a diff salon- top photo on right) that proves what I asked for is achievable, and what Iactually received (bottom right ). Full situation: This salon thinks highlights and balayages are the same thing, when they are not. I came into the salon with the expectation of high quality service given all of the good reviews and their price point, but they had a three or four very novice hairstylist there(I'm talking started in January kind of novices charging $165 for cuts and colors). I'm used to pay $250+ for my hair back home in Seattle, and was willing to pay that here for my hair to be done as I asked. I went in asking for a blonde balayage - showed them a picture of what I wanted and my hair styled that way from a past service to prove it can be done (my hair was darker when I did the previous) and instead I walked out looking like a girl that graduated high school in 2007 with BAD highlights and dark hair (again see bottom right photo of my attached collage) I literally have a picture of my hair done exactly this way from 10 years ago and I would like to keep those yuck crap highlights in the past 10 years ago. I wanted a balayage. I called a couple days after my service and said that despite enjoying the girl who did my hair (Elyssa), she did not do it even close to what I wanted and it was causing me to be sad... Cody the manager said he could get me in for a complimentary service and that people don't always find the right stylist when trying them and to give them a shot to fix it. I agreed despite feeling awkward and scheduled the appointment. When I arrived for my service Cody wasn't there and I had to check in with the girl that didn't do my hair right. I guess that's karma for me, but Cody promised me it wouldn't be awkward and straight out of the gate it so was!! After checking in and feeling like I made the wrong choice coming back, I got to speak to Karlos, who was supposed to fix the mistake you see in the photo. He said he would have to charge me for the service. No, please confirm with Cody I said. Upon talking to Cody karlos came back and offered a serivce that is NOT what I asked for and would not fix the problem. I said no thank you. This is my hair we are talking about and I want my hair done right and it feels now like you guys are doing everything to be stingy about it. I don't want you touching my hair anymore. This has been the worst salon experience of my life and I would NOT recommend this place. I wasted 3 and a half hours, $130 and had to deal with round two of nonsense. Definitely going to a more experienced salon next time. read more

Called to see if I could get a stylist to do wedding hair for a wedding coming up. the receptionist set up a time for me to come in before the wedding. Then, on the day of the wedding, the receptionist calls a half hour before and says stylist will be late can you do a 4 pm? (wedding is at 4:30 pm) then she said we have a stylist available but she's not confident in doing wedding hair. Then she told me the stylist that's late is not confident either on doing wedding hair. why would they let me book if the stylists aren't confident? I have been going to get my hair cut and colored by Bri for over a year. It's always a little scary going to a different stylist but I couldn't be happier with the service! Color: I am very happy with the color Bri chose for my hair. When she suggested highlights I was a little apprehensive but Bri assured me they would be subtle which is what I was looking for....I love it. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair since the highlights. Cut: I have had the same hair style for decades. Bri convinced me to try a slightly different cut. The first time I went in, I wasn't super happy with the color, and she fixed it at no extra cost, and it turned out exactly like what I wanted! My only complaint is that the receptionist does not schedule out time great- he booked me in an hour-ish time slot, when I told him my hair was long and thick and took longer than usual. This made Lindsey double booked at the end, and we had to have an assistant blow dry and style me- not ideal. But Lindsey personally reached out to me after, asking how I liked it, and we talked about it together. All in all, I was very pleased with Lindsey and her expertise, and would highly highly recommend her for any and all hair needs! I have perfectress hair extensions done by Tim. He was very helpful in finding the right extensions for my hair and life style. I can't express how happy I am that I've found this salon! Hannah has been my stylist twice, and she is wonderful! I have honestly never been happier with my hair. The first time I got my hair cut at Method I got a lot chopped off. I wanted to make sure I found a stylist that wouldn't give me a horribly short cut. Hannah helped give me ideas, and really took the time to listen to what I wanted. She also went the extra mile to show me additional ways to style my hair! The second time I came in for a cut and color. I had never colored my hair before, so I came in pretty clueless. I only had brought I a few pictures of what I vaguely wanted, and Hannah again really talked me through different options to help me decide on a color I really liked. It turned out amazing! My cut was also once again exactly what I had wanted. I really love how Hannah really takes time to make sure you are getting the hairstyle you want. Her suggestions are super helpful too. I also really love the products the salon carries. They also don't pressure you to buy anything like some places do, and make sure to send you away with only what you really need. Scheduling is easy, and everyone at the salon I've talked to has been friendly and helpful. The salon itself is very clean and modern. I had searched forever for a salon in Indy (I'd actually wait until I visited Chicago and see my old stylist for getting my haircut before this). I went to another highly rated salon on the Northside before this, but I was very underwhelmed and out a lot of money. I absolutely love this salon (and my stylist)! Fantastic! Who knew that this little gem was here. They've been here for about a year and half and their service is top notch. Julie was my "stylist"-I hesitate to even mention I went here for fear of losing my man card but there is a free promotion running for Dad's through the end of June. My man card aside, Julie made me feel right at home! She was hilarious and did a great job giving me a traditional barber cut. The Salon operates on a level system, I am pretty sure Julie was a Level 3, she is stylist for Redkin and works in NY part time. Truly, I will be sending many of my guests here from out of town as they get ready for weddings this summer. Ladies, it looks like they have some salon/spa services as well. Though the clients base is largely women, it's nice to know that a guy can waltz in and get his ears lowered. Guys I believe cuts are usually 28 for a level 1 and 42ish for level 3. Anywhoo! Disappointed i contacted the salon via yelp to make an appointment and did not feel like they wanted to make me a customer. I messaged them say night, and they responded within two days as is stated on yelp. I supplied my phone number and was told i would be contacted Tuesday morning to find the perfect person to do my hair. I got no respond. I messaged them again Wednesday. Today is Friday and no response, i gave up and will try a different salon. A bit disappointing they didn't care enough to call as they stated. Yes, i could have called myself, but once they said they would contact me, i believed that they would. Kelly is the best hair stylist I have ever been too. I have very thick hair that she cuts and styles beautifully and her blowouts lasts for 3-4 days. She always listens carefully to the look I am going for and she asks just the right questions so that I am pleased every time. My hair is almost 100% gray so covering these grays has always been a challenge for me. Since going to Kelly she has been able to cover my grays perfectly every time. I also appreciate her getting me in and out of the salon quickly without me ever thinking i am being rushed or neglected. 3 stars because I will say, my hair looks amazing and I was treated like a queen here. They really take care of their customers and the job they do is really great. The reason it is not 5 is because they charge you for a lot of extra things that you may not be aware of. Maybe I'm naïve, but every other salon I have been to they are very honest about what you are charged for and do nothing without permission. I got a balayage and I said no haircut but I got charged for a haircut because they insisted I get a few hairs trimmed after the dye job. When I called they said this is considered a $25 haircut even though I didn't have a choice. It was just interesting that I was not told about any of these additional charges beforehand. Again, maybe I do not just go to salons enough and this is the way it is, but just be careful if you think you know how much it is going be, because it will go up in price guaranteed. Other salons include a haircut in the coloring price and the toners they use are included as well. Make sure you know what you are walking into. Again, great job though and my hair looks great. I just wish they would have been more transparent about the cost. read more

I made an appointment at this salon with Jordan based on the other Yelp reviews. I got a great eyebrow wax and hair cut. I appreciated that Jordan listened to what I was looking for and gave me a quick but excellent cut. Christine, the director of salon operations, was also very friendly and great to work with for scheduling. The salon itself is very nice, and I've learned from previous stylists to look for the product brands they have here (e.g., Oribe) to find good stylists who are interested in their work and getting continuing education.
