I had a horrifying hair color situation this summer that caused me to put off coloring my hair for over 5 months (NOT AT SPLASH)! One of my friends referred me to Anecia before thanksgiving and I was able to get an appointment with her the first week of December (super quick for holiday season). She was very honest and open with me upon first meeting, I loved that we talked about price at the beginning of the appointment so there were no surprises! After we talked about what I wanted to do, she explained what she was going to do and we (she) jumped in. I had a lot of color correction to do (awful golden blonde highlights) and lots of lines to blend. Anecia went to WORK on my hair. I was impressed with her knowledge of hair anatomy-- this girl KNOWS her stuff-- she gave me a whole knew education on hair! I was also impressed with how meticulous she was with my color. I was recommended to Splash by probably one of the best mailmen in the country. He knew I was looking for someone to cut my hair and suggested I visit Anna at Splash. She asked many questions so that she knew what I liked and didn't like. I've pretty much worn the same hairstyle forever. She asked if I would be comfortable with a little bit of change. She explained in detail as to the cut and why it would be good for the way my hair grows and it works perfect. I would highly recommend Anna to anyone for their haircut needs. Unprofessional! I was looking forward to getting my hair done, as I saw many great reviews for this salon. Unfortunately, I decided not to proceed as I was faced with unprofessionalism and was put in a very uncomfortable situation. I called in my appointment the same day and was ensured an available spot that evening. Once I arrived the stylist I was assigned to made it very known she was not expecting my appointment. She was working with another client at the time and was speaking to the client that I was such a burden on her schedule. Minded, I was sitting right in front of her station awaiting her (professional) service, and clearly heard everything she was saying about how much of a burden it was on her to do my hair. I felt very uncomfortable and disrespected as she was speaking about me to another client. I hope that this stylist does not create an uncomfortable situation like this for another client. I had just moved to Indy and was trying to find a new stylist. Called the salon to talk about availability and pricing. After putting me on hold they informed me they couldn't meet my needs and that I needed to call another place. All I asked for were a men's cut (short hair, done in a fade with highlights) I couldn't understand how a salon this "prestige" couldn't accommodate that. Great clips in walmart can do that. Went here last week to get my hair color fixed (boxed hair dye DIY job at home gone really wrong o_0). I was able to book my appointment the same day, with Sharione, and she did an awesome job. I showed her a picture of Tyra Banks which had the color I wanted to acheive. Going from orangeish roots with black ends, to the dark brown w/auburn highlights, I though would be risky. She impressed me! The color turned out better than the photo. I couldn't believe it. She is GOOD. I also got the $30 conditioning treatment which left my hair soft, bouncy, and smelling great. I am half black, half white, and have coarse poofy hair (when washed it turns into a big curly afro), and once she was done with me, my hair was full of body and dimensions. I highly suggest the salon, Sharione in particular. I haven't experienced any other stylists. I will be going for a cut tonight, and cannot wait to see my new look! read more

Best Facials in Indianapolis...bar none. I saw Katie in July and Bhavna (again) today. Both are fantastic. Different experiences with each but they really know what they are doing. Not a lot of idle chit chat...which I like. No high pressure sales to buy products...which I love. Today's facial with Bhavna was very different from one I have ever had. This was a cold facial. No steam, no hot towels. I loved it. While I do love the steam, in the summer time it is refreshing to go with the cold facial. The anti-aging facial I had included a chemical peel, which did not leave my face feeling raw. When I left, I had a glow without any redness. If you want a superb facial...go to Splash. Look for those Groupons that they run every so often. read more

I originally came across Splash when my mother-in-law booked me an appointment to get my hair styled the day of my wedding. I was THRILLED with how my hair turned out, especially since I did not do a trial run or take pictures with me or anything. Sara did an amazing job! The next time I went back was 1 1/2 years later when I needed an up-do again for another wedding. Lacy did my hair this time and again, no pictures or anything and it turned out fabulous! Since then I have been going to Lacy for my regular cuts and coloring. She is awesome! After living with no bangs for 25 years, Lacy convinced me I could do bangs. She was right! I love my hair now and I get so many compliments on it from friends/co-workers. I will never go to anyone other than Lacy as long as she is in the area! The staff at Splash are always extremely friendly and helpful. I went in one day to buy some makeup and even though Chris was not too familiar with the products he helped me find what I was looking for since Bhavna wasn't there. It was great! This spa is either nominated for or won an award for the Best Facial in Indianapolis. After this experience, I have no idea why. My skin felt average - not great - when I left. For me, the highlight of any facial experience is the facial/neck/shoulder massage which normally accompanies a one-hour service. That was all but missing here. (Before we started, we discussed that my primary goal was relaxation.) I did receive a hand massage while my masque dried, but, the service felt rushed overall. I needed a very last minute hair cut and reshaping due to a mishap, so I called Splash Hair Salon and Spa. I was able to get in within the hour. Kristina was my hair stylist and she was great! She went over every product she used in my hair and kept me informed of every step she was doing. I went to the salon for the first time .I was very nervous , because it's my hair that we talking about. A friend of my friend recommended Jaqueline she said she is the best. When I went and explained her what I want and showed her some pictures of the color and the haircut she said ok. However she didn't listen at all she did what she wanted to do.She cut my hair without asking me how much hair I want cut off . She cut more than I wanted her to do so and she still didn't do the hairstyle I wanted. Then the color,I wanted her to do ash blond however my hair is yellow with couple round places having ash blond and the others are yellow it looks very ugly. It looks like Swiss cheese .I couldn't see it before.She styled my hair before I left with curls and with the lightning in the salon you don't see the imperfection . So she told me to wait 2 days before I can wash my hair. Finally when I got to washed my hair I saw all those flaws when I straighten it and I couldn't go back because I am living in a different State. On top off all this she charged me $295 and she told me the price when she already started and chopped of my hair and she told me it will be $250. For someone who doesn't listen to your wishes and does whatever she wants to do and ruins your hair she is overpriced. I am very very disappointed when you go there and looking for an hairstylist I wouldn't recommend Jaqueline when you spend your money spend it on someone who will do it right and who will listen to you and your wishes. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I got my hair colored, the first color she put on was nowhere close to the color I asked for. I wanted a copper/orange color and it turned light brown. She then tried to put bright red dye OVER that when I said it didnt look good. It ended up being a very dark red, which still isnt what I wanted but I didnt want to get it colored a third time and it was tolerable so I left. I washed my hair for the first time with only water and conditioner and ALL OF THE RED CAME OUT OF MY HAIR. I called to ask for a refund because I live 3 hours away and was told that I couldnt get one because it's against their policy. So they want me to spend more money and time to get my hair done by them again, so it can look awful AGAIN instead of just sending me a refund. Horrible service. read more
