There is a saying that beauty can be painful, but this is not. Yes, some may disagree, but I would rather get my eyebrows threaded over waxed any day. The pain is over in less than 5 minutes and I don't receive burns like I did from waxing. Located between a Spice store and nail salon, you will find eyes by India. The store itself is small, but there is a tiny area to sit in while you wait with a flat screen tv that serves as a distraction The staff is quick and cleans up and shapes your brows in a flash. They do offer threading of you full face, upper lip, and/or chin as well. If you are looking for some extra eye lashes, they do sell them and will put them on. If you are going on the weekends, you can expect to wait 5-10 minutes depending on how crowded it is. Saturday and Sunday seems to be their busier days. read more

Yesterday it was time to get my eyebrows done, and I will be honest, I was trying to figure out a way around having them threaded. It HURTS, ok? Some people say it's less painful than waxing - I have to strongly disagree with that. My eyes water, and I try very hard to keep a straight face. It. Hurts. I have very light skin and light brow hair as well. No problem - they're perfectly shaped with all the "peach fuzz" gone as well. BUT my eyebrows are beautifully shaped after having them threaded. It takes about 5 minutes, and costs $8. (Compare that with where I was going to have them waxed for $15!) The ladies are all business, and they get you in and out very quickly. If you haven't tried threading, don't be fooled - it freaking hurts. But ten minutes later you forget all about it and you have nice brows for weeks. read more

This is my go-to place in Indy for my eyebrows - I'm almost always in and out in under 10 mins and it's only like $10 for a nicely shaped set without the threat of burns that waxing has. Make sure you bring cash, though, as I'm not sure if they take cards. Admittedly the shop is nothing to look at and the ladies are usually more interested in chatting to one another than making small talk with me...but - as a shy introvert - I think that's perfect. I walk in, sit down and get ignored while they make my eyebrows excellent again (and when I do have a question they do their best to answer it, which is great). I will warn that they don't ask for your input on how you want your eyebrows to look...but they've always shaped them into something flattering, so I'm not necessarily complaining on that point. And having just moved across town...I can see myself driving the 30 mins just to go back to them. They're that good. read more

I love love love this place! It's the only place in Indy I will go to get my brows done. Depending on time of day/day of the week you go, you can get in and out in about 10-15min. Now ladies, beauty is PAIN-but we love the results, right?! ;) this is the best way to describe getting your eyebrows threaded. It hurts and your eye will water ( for me they water A LOT) but after my eyebrows look so nice and clean. They give the people what they want and that's why I keep going back! They also do eyelash extensions, lip, chin, face threading. So if you need something other than eyebrows they can be your go to place! Been getting my brows done here for a few years. The ladies here are very nice and do a good job. I prefer this location over any other I have tried. My 14 year old has been going for about 6 months as well and even she is a fan. Now if you have never threaded, beware it is a somewhat painful, but totally worth it and it last longer then waxing. You can also get your fake eye lashing done here and they do a good job. Wish they had more seating, especially on the weekends when 9 people are waiting. read more

If you hate or have trouble with waxing or plucking, then threading is a must try. This method not only removes those pesky visible stragglers, but also all those fine peach fuzzies you can't really see but always seem to get in the way of your makeup - ladies, you know what I'm talking about! This method is so quick and much less painful than waxing. But perhaps the best part is that it is much more effective at giving one a smooth and beautifully-shaped set of brows. But wait, there's more....it's super cheap! There are certain locations that might be okay, but I've been to two and they've both been unprofessional and unkind. The one on Pendleton Pike proceeded to turn me away because they closed at 8, I got there at 7:50 and they "already start the count". I then called inside to see if they had a corporate number and she said she didn't understand and hung up. I was a regular at this location and always tipped well, so I feel that's in bad taste. When I called the 82nd St location, she was nicer about a corporate number but still didn't care or seem to want to find one. When I arrived at this store, she and her coworker proceeded to talk about me (I used the speaking version of Google translate, it was rough but enough) and it made me uncomfortable. I'm a big believer in customer service so I won't be going to any of these locations in the future. read more

Such a frustrating experience! I came in to absolutely no greeting just the question "brows?". This wouldn't have bothered me very much if she had done a half descent job with the actual threading. She missed almost the entire section between my brows and pulled pieces of skin off to the point where I was bleeding. When I was done she handed me a tissue with rubbing alcohol and stood by the register tapping her foot till I came per to pay. I work in customer service so I totally understand having a bad day but please at least try to give a good product if you can't give a good experience. read more

A very meh experience. They didn't mess up my eyebrows, but could have been more thorough with the cleaning or shaping. Most other places will apply astringent/lotion with a nice little forehead massage, but they just hand u a tissue with alcohol on it. On top of that, they didn't take my Yelp check in offer since they only accept print outs. Weird. Overall, they did a fine job on my brows and did not brutalize me (it did not hurt at all/leave scars) so that makes up for their almost complete lack of customer service. read more

Okay. I have been here twice now and I have discovered that they just... KNOW how to do my eyebrows. You see, my eyebrows are naturally crooked due to an injury like 20 years ago. My ethnic background is Polish/Hungarian, so I have some seriously bushy eyebrows. The lady who did my brows... Her name escapes me but she took her time, let me look at her work and check it over, and even corrected when I wanted the arch a little bit higher/sharper. I didn't get the lady's name, but her initial was PR and she took her time and did it pain free. She made sure she got every hair possible. I have been a regular customer to this location for months and recently I had a new employee do my lashes. Needless to say I was a little skeptical because she hasn't been doing lashes long. Of course in 3 days they were coming off. They typically last 2 weeks. When I went back in they wouldn't put them back on. Advised me I would have to pay half of the service charge. Now I spend $27 every two weeks with them and they don't care enough not to lose a regular customer! Bad business!! Won't go back again!! read more
