I hardly ever leave bad reviews, but this is not the first time that the business has not been open when I've driven all the way over here. I drove over 30 minutes in construction traffic today on a lunch break from work and arrived at 3:24 PM only to find the owner pulling away from where I pulled up next to him in the parking lot. They are supposed to be open until 3:30, which was what was accounted for when I drove here, and they were not open as advertised. Threading vs Waxing! Threading all day! I have been getting my eyebrows threaded here for at least five years. I am so glad that this couple was able to make it through Covid. There is parking directly in the lot. You walk in to the salon and head straight to the back to sit down in the order that you walked in. It is first come first serve. Saturday mornings are the busiest time. It only takes me about 5 minutes to get my eyebrows threaded by Solomon. He's incredible! It's clean, precise, and completely based on your face shape. I have never been disappointed! I've gotten my fair share of eyebrow waxing at salons and experienced burning on my eyebrows from waxing, uneven eyebrows shape, and no arch to match my face. If you're looking for a luxe beauty parlor experience, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for no-frills great brows at a great price, then you're in luck! Perfect Arch is tucked in a nondescript strip with a tuxedo rental store just across from Sullivan Hardware on Keystone. Like the outside, the interior isn't particularly fancy, but I've been in and out so quickly that I truly don't mind. Soneil works quickly and effectively, sculpting my brows into a work of art each time. He is quiet but polite and professional, even if I come in with caterpillars that should've been tamed a month ago. After your brows are done, you're offered alcohol or witch hazel to wipe down with. The place is Venmo, Cash App, or Cash only, so come prepared. Eyebrow threading is $12 at the time of this posting (May 2023). This is why I'm only having them done at Perfect Arch: (01) Although I do find it more painful than waxing, the process goes by fairly quickly. (02) My brows look GREAT. If you're curious about the time I came (given the other reviews): I arrived a little after 1 PM on a Friday to a pretty packed waiting room (there were maybe eight people in front of me?) and left at 2 PM. This is a small family business worth supporting. Both the husband and wife give you consistently amazing results; I've never left this place with anything less than amazing brows. They also do a great job at manscaping men's brows. First of all, this place is $8. EIGHT DOLLARS!! Is threading normally that cheap? Maybe. I wouldn't know because the last time I had threading done I was in college and it was awful. Solomon was much better than the experience I had at the College Mall in Bloomington ten years ago. The shop is not that great looking. But you're not there for ambiance, you're there to get your brows in check and Solomon is going to whip those puppies into shape in no time. Does threading hurt? Of course it does! Tiny hairs are being ripped out of your face. Is it the worst pain ever? Not really. It was gone by the time I was out of the parking lot. I came in with full brows that needed a shape and left with two perfect arches. The hairs on what was becoming a nice unibrow stayed behind, too. Do yourself a favor- go see Solomon and tip him well. I have had my eyebrows threaded around the city and this is my favorite. Now I live downtown so the location is not ideal but I make it work, it's worth it for me. What makes this place great: Pain- I find his technique to be a bit less painful than other places. Now it still doesn't feel great but less pain is less pain. Consistency- I like that I always get the same person. Consistency matters. At other shops, I feel it's the luck of the draw. Not the case here. Good value- It's only $8!! I always tip and love that with tip it's still only $10. I happened to pop by on a recent Saturday and there was a wait, two people in front of me, two people behind me. A good eyebrow is a must! It is also an inexpensive way to add some glam to your look and do something nice for yourself. I have paid up dearly at salons for a good brow, up to $30, which is crazy. Perfect Arch charges $8, a true value. I had driven by this location for years, and did not even know what threading was until recently. I did some research and decided to stop in for a walk in appointment. Strolling in, I was nervous and not sure where to go and weaved through an empty beauty shop atmosphere to a room in the back where some ladies were sitting. Chairs line the area as a wait room and a barber style chair in the corner serves as the threading station...the process is very quick...basically you wait a few minutes as the eyebrow expert-threading girl tends to the current client, they pay and the next person is up. Cash preferred but I was unprepared, luckily she will take a credit card the first time for newbies who do not know. Everyone said it would hurt but I did not find it painful, just a little stinging tug on on the skin area--the threading girl requested I hold my eye a certain way as she used the threads to press up against my eye..it felt very precise. The end result was a fantastic, crisp eyebrow with cleaner lines than I ever have had with waxing. Bravo! Bonus: I was also told the regrowth is slower with threading vs. waxing. Usually, my eye area gets very sore and irritated with waxing and that did not happen with the threading, the redness was minimal, Yaay! I will never get my eyebrows waxed ever again. My life is forever changed. Threading hurts less, costs less (it's $8) and takes less time. The employees are super friendly and walking in, waiting for the next available threader and walking out takes at the most maybe 15 minutes. There are usually a couple of others waiting but it moves extremely fast and there are magazines and a TV so the wait flies. They do take cards but prefer cash so I like to honor that policy if I can. I will go here as long as I live in Indy and encourage anyone else to do the same. read more
