I have always had nice, thick, and generally long hair. However during quarantine I did some diy hair dye and hair cuts. Constantly trying to dye my own hair and lifting color myself damaged the lower half of my hair to where it was constantly frizzy, tangled, and there was a lot of breakage. I tried to do hair masks every two days to try to get my hair back to its normal healthy state, but no luck. So I went in to Method Salon to chop off all of the damaged hair. I told Tim, as I have told all of my past hairdressers, to do whatever he thought would look best and to cut off what was needed to make my hair look healthy! Tim did a fantastic job of working with me to find a style that would flatter my face shape and making sure that I was ok with the length! I ended up buying two of the products that Tim used on my hair too-- the Oribe Dry Shampoo and the Oribe Split End Seal. They smell heavenly and make my hair look like I just stepped out of a salon. I was offered some infused water when I checked in and only waited for about 2 minutes. I just wanted a haircut so I started off by showing Paige two different pictures on my phone of something I was considering. I could tell she combined the two photos in her head before cutting my hair, and she only saw the photos for a couple seconds! Every haircut includes a wash, hot towel around your neck, scalp massage, hand/arm massage, and a neck and shoulder massage. You can opt out of anything, but I enjoyed the relaxation of it all. Also, the pricing is very competitive with other salons in the area, if not cheaper. After cutting, drying, and layering my hair she offered to straighten or curl my hair. She never seemed in a rush and made me feel great. I just wish she would have told me which products she was using in my hair, during the hand massage, and for the neck massage. She even sprayed something in my hair before drying it so now I'm curious what all she used and what they did. But I guess I could have asked. I didn't want/need a special curly cut, just needed someone to cut off 8inches and diffuse my hair, and let me leave. I was so incredibly clear with what I wanted. I said, "my hair is curly and will shrink up. Do not cut more than this amount off." The lady said "do you want it at your collarbone? I said "no. I want it longer, I want it at least to here" and i pointed to more than 4in below my collarbone. I was very clear. The lady washed my hair, and pulled my hair behind me and started cutting. I couldn't see what she was doing but she was cutting WAY shorter than we had talked about. It's above my collarbone before even getting dried. I have had my fair share of bad haircuts, but this is by far the worst. As it dries, it looks like a triangle or something from the 70s. It seems the woman was confused in what I asked for, but I wish she either communicated that she wasn't comfortable cutting my hair or asked for clarification. She also decided to turn a large portion of my hair into what I would describe as "curtain bangs". Interesting choice, especially on my curly hair. I did not want a blowout, just asked for a brief diffuse with the blow dryers. She acted like she didn't know what she was doing with the diffuser. I was charged $100 before tip. The pricing is not transparent or clear at all. Stylist was very nice but even with good vibes, you have to listen to customers. I will not be returning to any of the kisskissbangbang locations, and I will be telling everyone I know to steer clear, seems like the stylist could use some help with spatial awareness after the black cape goes on, since where you point is not as visible when wearing the cape.

I spent several thousand dollars on a mesh integration/topper and extensions after relying entirely on professional guidance. The system was installed incorrectly, and once the initial styling settled, the placement issues were clear. I returned in person specifically to have the installation corrected. Instead of fixing the issues, I was told I would need to wait approximately 8 weeks until my next scheduled visit for a reinstall. For a service of this complexity and cost, being asked to live with an improperly installed system for weeks is unacceptable. The topper color also failed quickly. Within about three weeks, it faded back toward a lighter/blonde tone and no longer matched my brown hair. This is an integrated system worn with natural hair, and color compatibility is a basic functional requirement. I was sold this based on color and texture pattern matching, which was not represented honestly or transparently, as the hair is heavily pre-processed and does not hold color that is dyed at the salon. There were also billing transparency issues. I later discovered--only after requesting an itemized receipt--that I had been charged for extension hair that was never installed or physically provided to me. Despite raising this issue, I was never refunded for the incorrect billing. Overall, this experience showed a lack of technical expertise, inadequate quality control, and poor transparency for a service that requires precision and experience. If you are considering a mesh integration or similar system, I strongly recommend seeking out a salon in a major hub (such as Chicago) with extensive, specialized experience in these systems. This is not a service that should be handled without proven expertise. Do not get mesh integration at this salon.
