It was just not worth the money. This place is supposed to be a luxurious hair salon so I was expecting tranquility, spa treatment. Instead, it was an average hair salon i.e loud music, hairstylists taking about men or child's father or being pregnant and a toddler walking around. Everything is à la carte. I was looking for a colorist but I don't think she specialized in coloring. Parking is very limited only 3-6 spots or park across the street of course you have to pay. This was my first time getting a curly haircut and I love the shape and curl definition she was able to give. Jayde is unique because she also does a silk press that don't damage your curls. I felt that my cut and style was rushed to accommodate someone else and I had booked my appointment months in advance only to be asked to come earlier the day before. I paid for Laquita but a trainee did most of the work. Laquita though at the end asked for more tip for the trainee when I had paid Laquita a $40 tip. The one tip I loved was to try K18. Best haircut I've gotten in years! I had just cut my own hair for a long time, going curl by curl, which is tedious and harder to see when it's your own head. It's hard finding a trusted hairstyle who can do Black hair and LaQuita really knew her stuff. I asked about different products and what to do if I wanted to style my hair in the future and she was very helpful and informative. She also showed me some items on Amazon and her storefront that she recommended for using myself. I got a curly cut and style and no color changes for a cost of about $200 (excluding tip). I would make sure to plan ahead unless your schedule has a lot of flexibility and make an appointment a few months out. Another client before me asked about if she should come back in 3 months and LaQuita said she should be good for 6 months- I thought it was nice she was honest even though she would make more money if people came in twice as much.
