I LOVED zen nails back in the day so decided to go back to them even though it's 20+ minutes away from me once I decided to start recommitting to nails again. it's been a frustrating process thus far. I'd like to preface this with *all employees are super friendly!!!* but this is not a place I will be returning to ever again. I scheduled the following: - Saturday 2/6/26 - full tap gel x set on at 1:30 with Kate. - Friday 2/20 - replacement right thumb with Alex (free of charge!) - Wednesday 2/26 - further replacement for left pointer nail. I decided to say to heck with it and just get everything redone. $60+ later, I get home Wednesday evening and noticed my left thumb was already cracked. -Saturday 2/28 - went back at 6:15pm to repair( they close at 7 according to online and their door signs) doors were locked. - Saturday 3/7 - (they're closed sundays and I work during the week), I called to get my thumb nail repaired from my 2/26 visit. I wanted to call first to make sure someone would be available and avoid last weeks' situation. No answer. Called 3x periodically. Keep in mind, I am not doing any hard labor etc. the tap gel x is supposed to last several weeks so it's frustrating that I've had to go back 4x in a single month with the amount of $ spent. I used to come here all the time but then the quality and customer service took a dip. I paid for nails and was always charged extra for the length even thought it wasn't crazy long. I came back once because my nail was so bumpy. The last time I came here I paid $90, $75 plus tip. I was happy with my nails but they started chipping and peeling right away. Last time I complained and returned, it was obvious people were talking about me in another language, the vibes are always super weird now. I don't feel like having to come back to make something right every time is unfair to me and it puts me in an uncomfortable situation because the nail techs can be a little rude in these cases. I may not speak the language but body language says a lot. I have not returned and never plan to do so. The gel layer started to peel like this on all nails, yes I pulled it up but that's how all the edges were lifting, the nail tech filed the nail which means the gel polish was not covering the ends. Within a week this whole set was trash and I took them off before two weeks were up. read more

I needed a quick manicure for an upcoming wedding and booked with Zen Nails after seeing the positive Yelp reviews. I messaged them on Yelp to request an appointment and didn't hear back, so I ended up calling to make an appointment. They got me in within a few days. The entrance from the parking lot is technically the back entrance, so you have to weave your way to the front of the store, which is a bit confusing. The front desk staffer told me to pick a nail color from the wall and wait for someone to take me for my appointment. The express manicure got the job done (nail cut/shaping and polish) and for $18, it's a steal. You pay for the manicure before they paint your nails so you don't fumble with your purse and wallet with wet nails - smart! At the end, you sit at a communal table with the UV lights to dry your nails. I wish there was a towel or something under my hands. It seemed a bit unsanitary to place my hands on a table that so many other people had touched. I also felt like overall the salon could've been slightly cleaner. If I'm in need of a quick mani, I'll return to Zen for the express service, but otherwise, I'll stick with my regular nail gal for manis/pedis. read more

Came here before my wedding for manicures and pedicures with my bridal party. We made appointments which were definitely needed for a bigger group. We all had great staff. Eric was my nail technician and did amazing! Over 2 weeks later and my dip still looks good and no chips. I would say the gel pedicure lasted much shorter than normal polish does. Eric recommenced the up charge to gel since I was going to the beach but all my gel peeled off in less than 2 weeks. I've definitely had normal polish last almost 2 months so I wouldn't do gel on my toes again. Lots of color options for gel & dips. On the first try, I found my nail salon thanks to these Yelp reviews! I made an appointment for a pedicure and they were able to fit me in on a last minute Saturday. My nail tech was Li and wow! That was the best pedicure I have had in a long time. I usually don't like getting my cuticles done, but he was very gentle and it didn't hurt at all. Their team is so friendly -- one of the manicurists even remembered my name, even after all this time. My nails look perfect and I find that they always last a long time too. I was in town and as it's getting warmer, I realized I desperately needed a pedi. I called this place and they got me in 15 min later. Everyone was wearing masks and they put up an extra barrier as well. They did a thorough massage which was nice. My nails turned out really nice. The chairs were a little closer than I would have preferred (in terms of how close I was to someone else) but that could also be because they squeezed me in last minute. I came here for a long overdue pedi. Aren't they always that way? There is plenty of parking in the back and an entrance near the parking lot. Once you walk in you will need to go around the corner to the front check in area. It was a little confusing when I got there. The front desk has a very organized check in process with the assigned staff waiting to provide service. Once I checked in, signed a covid waiver and had my temperature check they let me pick out a color from the wall. Once I sat down they put up the plastic barrier for additional protection which made me feel safe. I decided on the Classic pedicure which is their cheapest/standard option but still felt luxurious. The man took his time trimming and cleaning up my feet before massaging my legs and rubbing them hot stones. It felt like I was at a fancy spa and I was in heaven. Separating the work from the attitude here: excellent nail design and stayed forever so I was happy with my ripped manicure. Not happy with my regular polish toes. They smudged after me waiting for 35 mins to dry. There should be some sort of spray to put on them like other salons so they dry/harden faster. Might need to work on manners a bit. I made an appointment so my nails would look nice on my wedding day which was as the next day and the gal said I made the wrong appointment and that they didn't know if they could get me in for the dipped manicure because I just asked for that when apparently there is some way to book ombré. I came in (with an appointment) for a full-set with regular nail polish and was very impressed with both the service and the nails themselves. Sandy Tran was my technician; she was very gentle and engaging. I showed her a referende photo and she was very attentive to details while working. I really appreciate that she asked me if the length and colour were okay before proceeding on to the other nails. The acrylic nails themselves are even and thin (!!!!). Honestly probably the best around (far tho) the area Indy. Great service and decent prices. My nail tech took the time to make sure all of my nails were the same length and shape! Other salons (cough cough zen downtown) charge extra for almond shape and don't even make sure the nails are perfect! My only gripe is the nail tech pulled an unsterilized pair of clippers to cut my hang nail. I asked him to at least spray alcohol on it. Now when I tell you that I've been to almost every single nail salon in Hamilton County over the last eight years, I'm not exaggerating. This salon by far is the best. My nails have a natural curve to them, and it's imperative to me that the acrylic sit straight. When I first started coming to the salon I would only go to Megan, then it was her or Erik (Eric?). Now, I trust every single technician in that salon as they are always so friendly and welcoming and their work is beyond excellent.
