I've been getting my nails done for over 10 years, and I can say with confidence that Katie is one of the best out there. I've been going to her for almost 3 years now and she nails the shape every single time. She's so talented with unique designs and always knows the best products to use. On top of that, she's super easy to talk to and honestly feels like family at this point. She's the only person I trust to get my nails right every time! read more

Finally broke quarantine to get my nails done and I'm so glad I did! I've been a customer of N&J for years and it's such a relief the shutdown didn't make them go out of business. Everyone that works there is great: Hannah, Sofia, Katie and Vanny. They are all very professional, take their time and provide excellent service. The shop offers a full range of options: acrylic, gel, dip powder, regular polish and a variety of pedicure options. Hannah does my acrylics and I appreciate that she always shapes them to my request and have found that they are not overly thick or heavy like some techs make them. I regularly get compliments on the quality and look of them from friends and strangers. COVID: the salon is now appointment only, upon entering your temperature is checked, you're asked to sanitize your hands (sanitizer provided) and required to wear a mask. The staff only accepts minimal appointments at a time and keeps customers a minimum of 6 feet from each other. There are plastic patroons between you and the tech at both the mani and pedi stations and chairs are thoroughly wiped between customers. All equipment is sanitized between customers and/or wiped down per the appropriate CDC guidelines. read more

So I will start this review off by saying they dont do a bad job but the customer service is less desirable. I have been here several times and they take forever to even acknowledge you. I kept returning because it's a nice shop that is very convenient. After today I will never give them a penny of my hard earned money. I came in the door and I told them what I wanted. She didnt even acknowledge me. I sat down and 20 minutes later she came up to me and said I ha e to come back because they were busy. My mouth dropped. I was wondering why it took 20 minutes to tell me this? I am going to honest I was one of 2 customers in the entire store and the only one waiting. I was in shock of the lack of good service. I was in shock. So rude. I went elsewhere and was happy with my decision. I would also like to add that they have a sign at the entrance that says "we have the right to refuse service to anyone" WTH I'm donezo with this place. read more

Walked in at 6:45 and they just looked at me for a while. Finally asked what i needed and then said they couldn't service me. Just needed a mani and pedi and was here prior to close. Won't be back. read more

I absolutely love this place. My nails have never looked better. The skill with dipping powder is phenomenal. I have found the place to go for the best looking nails! read more

So not a bad location. But I thought $40 was a bit pricey for a regular polish pedicure. I opted out of the $30mani for just polish as well. Other than that friendly. On a Saturday around noon, not crowded at all...this should have been my sign. read more

Terrible service and the nails only last about a week before they are just falling off like press on nails. The location is convenient but, they will no longer receive my business. There is also only 2 people that work in there and anytime I'm getting a service done, I'm told "we are squeezing you in" we have another appointment even though the sign on the door clearly says no appointment needed. I just went in because a whole hand of nails are off when I should only need a small fill. As soon as I walked in, I was told they could only do "1"service at this time. Does that make any sense? Avoid this place! read more

Katie is the best. She's fast, sweet, and does a great job. I've always made an appointment (without difficulty) and have never had to wait when I arrive. This is my go-to! read more

I enjoyed getting a pedicure with my cousin. They were all friendly ,and they offered free drinks as you got your feet and hands worked on. Nina was the best! Clean place and painless. Very reasonable price. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was because one of the employees was going on a rant in their native language and it felt a little uncomfortable. Other than that very friendly service and a great job. I will definitely be going back. read more

I've been here twice and it's becoming a go-to for me. In fact, I like the place and staff so much that I booked my wedding party here. I love that they have a large selection of OPI, CND, and Jessica matching gel/regular polish choices. I do gel on my hands and regular on feet and I want my polish to match. It's hard to find a place with such a great selection. They've always been accommodating and nice. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because depending on what tech serves you, it could take over an hour to finish your help mani/ regular pedi, which I find unacceptable. This is why I go only when I'm not on a strict time schedule. For my wedding, I booked for two days in advance of the wedding. read more

This place is great. I have bounced around nail salons because I either feel that they do a good job and are pricey, or are cheaper but my nails look sloppier. I really like this place because they do a great job, and they aren't too expensive. Nice people, pretty decor, nothing to complain about. Will definitely be back. read more

This was my first pedicure in Indianapolis. Service was great; everyone is very friendly. They have a huge polish selection available. I would say pretty average prices for pedicures, and I appreciate they have options on a menu when you get in your pedicure chair. They don't try to up-sell you like at many salons. They were quick but thorough; I was very pleased with the quality of the paint job. Tools are retrieved in sanitizer packaging (I'm not sure of the exact process, but at least it seems clean?). The only thing I would change is I like when the pedicure chairs have removable basin liners to at least *appear* a bit more sanitary. Anyway, I'll definitely be back, and I would recommend this place to friends. Pro Tip: You can turn the seat massage off if it's making you uncomfortable :O. read more

I'd hoped for a better experience at N & J Nails, but was instead disappointed. My sisters and I walked in without appointments and were pleased to be immediately accommodated, but the service was quite abrupt. It's never fun to be treated as though someone is doing you a favor when in reality you're paying for their services. Additionally, the woman who did my pedicure only did one coat of nail polish before applying a top coat, whereas two coats is what I would expect from any nail salon. My sister's French manicure was likewise disappointing; the manicurist left flecks of polish on her skin and painted over the cuticle, causing the paint there to dry out and crack quickly. Suffice it to say, I won't be going back. read more

They are nice people. But I felt like my manicure could've been better. I've been to other places and usually go to divy up north, but this was close to my work. The gel was $30 and in just 1 day my nail polish came off and broke my nail. The polish could've used another coat. read more

I called ahead to see if they could take me at 6:45 since they close at 7:30. They were hesitant but they said it was fine. When I got there the manicurist said I was lucky they took me because he was tired from working and he would not have if there wasn't another appointment still there. I thanked him for taking me because I didn't know what else to do. He then went on the complain about being understaffed. Which I sympathized with (especially since it was the Friday before labor day and I'm sure he was ready for a long weekend). He then started doing my gel fill and was super rough. He used a really large head on the electric sander which would scuff the skin around my nail. I winced once when it started burning and he asked if he got me. When I said yeah he chuckled and said "well just wait, the next part will be worse". I asked him "what?" And he repeated that the "next part would be worse because he was going to do my cuticles". Then as He was sanding down a nail he lost control of the tool, sanding my pinky. He then said it was my fault and "that is why people need to relax more. Relax." How am I supposed to relax when my finger nails are being sanded off?? I was not a fan. They were condescending about the shape of my nails when I came in, the service was rough, and i can still see parts of my nail through the color. read more

I went in for a fill of my acrylic nails and a pedicure... it was my first time at this salon. I WON'T GO BACK! The guy that did my fill did an excellent job... he took a lot of time - filled and filed my nails perfectly... but then he passed me to a girl to do my pedicure and polish my nails. It then became the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. I'd say I received 20% of a typical pedicure... my feet weren't rough on the bottom when I went in, but they were when I left. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? It's laughable how bad the shaping and the poilish on my toes looks... not one nail is polished all the way to the cuticle... and on most of them, the polish stops an eighth of an inch from covering the sides. THEN she painted my nails WHILE I sat in the pedicure tub. They were hideous. I commented on one nail while she was painting and I got attitude... she literally huffed! So I didn't complain to her any more, she put me under the dryer and left and I went to the guy who did my fill and showed him my polish and he fixed it... if you could call it that... he painted over what she did. So now you can see a ridge where her polish stopped and where his covered it. I paid $41 and tipped $7 - for a total of $48 -- but I feel like I got a $10 experience at best! read more

Although the staff was nice, place was clean, they got me a pedi on a Sunday when others could not, still taking off two stars. I was over charged because the guy thought I got my fingernails done with them. If he wasn't for sure, he could have asked. I guess I should take it as a compliment but that meant he received a $15.00 tip...if they have only two employees working and the system is always to do pedi first, then hands(which was the routine they were doing)-he would have realized that I should have been charged $25.00 and not $40.00. read more

I tried a couple different places after moving to Indy, but after I happened to try N&J, I know I won't be going elsewhere. In short, they are all very friendly and professional. I appreciate all the attention to detail they provide. For example, on one occasion they put me in a pedicure chair and had the water going while the gentleman that was going to help me was finishing up another client. I waited for about 10 minutes, which wasn't a problem, and he came over twice to warm the water and make sure it didn't get cold. I really appreciate little details like this. Their pedicure chairs are also VERY comfortable and they even have small ones for little girls which is a nice touch since a lot of moms come in with their kids. Usually I end up trying a place and when I go back my experience changes--either for better or worse--and I don't know whether I will be disappointed or not. This is not the case with N&J. I leave happy every single time and I know that no matter who helps me that day, they're all great. We've all been to a nail place where only one or two people actually know what they're doing and subsequently, those people are always booked. I usually get a pedicure and gel nails, and I've also tried waxing (underarms). While they're waxing prices are a little steep, they're the best nail salon I've been to in a very long time and I'm now a loyal and happy patron! Thanks N&J! read more

I came in on a Thursday and it wasn't busy. No one greeted me. I signed my name on on clip board and waited over 1 hour. Finally get to a chair, the water is cold. I try to go to this salon every time, the people there are so friendly and they do such a great job! I've walked-in and had appointments and equally were easy and successful. My comments should be understood in the context of my previous experience (3 years) as a customer of Hanna, the new owner of N & J Nails. Her skill and customer service focus are exceptional. Her business acumen has been developed over many years of related experience in service businesses and finance. I'm confident that she'll deliver an optimum experience for the clientele of N&J Nails. I moved away from Indianapolis late summer of 2013 and have been unable to find a nail salon expert who can deliver the experience and results that Hanna delivers. read more

This place is my go to nail place in Indy. I moved here months ago and have been getting my nails done here. I have had three different ladies do my nails..the first one was the longest lasting manicure I've ever had. Nearly 3.5 weeks and they still looked good just grown out. The second lady helped me pick a color when I couldn't decide and I got tons of compliments on it. The third redid my nail design three times to make sure it was the right glitter and looked exactly the way I wanted. It's hard to find that in a salon, but the ladies here are very nice and do an excellent job! Very happy to come here to treat myself, plus you can buy a bottle of wine right next door :) read more

Just moved to indy and I tried this salon due to the location. Everyone is super nice, they make professional recommendations and in the 12 years I've religiously had my my nails done bimonthly, this is the first time a manicure lasted three weeks and still looked flawless. My initial visit to N&J Nails was a 5pm Walk-in for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. Shop was not busy, so I was seated quickly.
