First off, I get to the appointment and right after my eyebrow wax I confirm that I'm getting a Brazilian along with an upper leg wax. And they told me they didn't have me down for the Brazilian even though they confirmed it with me. Fortunately enough they're able to add it on. I've been getting Brazilian waxes for the past 21 years, and this was by far the roughest Brazilian I have ever had. And at the end of it not only was there hair missed, there's also severe bruising And burns. My eyelid is so burnt from my eyebrow wax, 24 hours later, that it is blistering and I can't even put make up on a cover it up. read more

I look forward to my periodic visits here. Sarah is friendly and very detailed. She does a great job every time! She uses the appropriate wax for the job so you get smoother that much quicker! Scheduling is easy, and if you schedule a follow-up, you get a discount on the following visit! They call a day or two before to remind you of your upcoming appointment which I find handy because I set my own reminders, but sometimes life gets in the way so having that extra one is helpful. I need to find out who did my Brazilian because she ruined my wedding night and honeymoon. I got a wax 3 days before the wedding - she did a horrible job, used strip wax for almost the whole thing, and then ON MY WEDDING DAY my coochie broke out with folliculitis which looks like white pimples ALL OVER my good China. It hurt, it was gross, and I had to wear diaper rash cream on my wedding day. Please fire this girl. I've had at least 10 Brazilians in my life all from the naked monkey and nothing even close to this has happened before. Be glad I didn't take a picture. read more

I normally get my brows threaded but I couldn't get into to my normal salon and needed to find a place that could get my brows done right for an event I was attending. I called The Naked Monkey and they were able to get me in in no time. They were so kinds but I literally left looking the exact same. My brows had no shape and I ended up getting them threaded a few days after. They seemed to have a long wait so I'm assuming it was just a poor first experience -- however, I've been to other waxing places and loved the outcome. Candace is awesome, and I swear the wax here hurts less than at other places. It's probably the best Beazilian wax I've ever had in my life and I've gotten waxes all over the world. I primarily get mine done back home in LA and this one by Candice was BETTER!!! It was almost painless (because she did everything in small sections) and she was really quick and sweet. If I'm ever in Indianapolis again this will be my first stop! UPDATE: I have now heard back from Brenda - almost as soon as I posted this review lol - and she offered me a full refund for my services. That being said, it took quite a conversation to get her there. At one point, she even suggested that she'd like to "get to the bottom of this issue by trying different methods and waxes." Thank you, but my lady parts are not up for experimentation. Regardless, I appreciate her getting back to me and eventually agreeing to the refund. If I could give more stars, I would. Best Brazilian experience ever! I drove almost 90 minutes and will do so again because of the phenomenal experience I had. Candace and the entire Monkey staff made my day. This wasn't my first Brazilian, but the others I've had in the past left a lot to be desired: stray hairs left, an unprofessional esthetician, and a very uncomfortable experience each time. I was due for another one, so instead of going to the place I'd been before, I decided to try The Naked Monkey and I'm very glad I did. Candace welcomed me warmly and made me feel comfortable from the beginning. The entire waxing experience took less than 20 minutes and was the most comfortable wax I've ever had. Candace is obviously very good at what she does; she quickly performed the service and tweezed the few strays left over, all while carrying on light, natural conversation. I was definitely pleased with the end result. Don't be afraid of the Brazilian! I highly recommend the Monkey for a reasonable, high-quality waxing experience. read more

Made an appointment, excited to go and the woman I spoke to seemed nice enough on the phone... Put the address in my gps and it led me into a neighborhood when I called consistently for about 20 minutes to get directions, no one answered. Went here randomly on a trip home to visit my parents. It was easy to get to, they accept credit cards and have ample parking. I walked in with no appointment in the middle of the day and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. went in last week to get eyebrows and lip waxed.. the girl who helped me was fairly young, in her twenties.. I already have a natural arch to my eyebrows and was just looking to get them cleaned up.. instead I came out with a square at the beginning of my brows up to my natural arch. it looks like I gave the tweezers to a four year old and told her to have at it. never going back again.
