The salon itself is very cool, with tons of different beauty vendors located inside. The Waxing Spot is located in the back and has a little sign outside of its pocket door. The owner was kind and does all of the waxes herself. She's been doing it for over ten years and is super efficient. Important note: they do big strips of wax at once to get the hair off quickly. This is a quick and efficient way to do waxing, but is also more painful. If it's your first wax ever, I'd say go to a place that does the small pieces of wax for an hour or so (takes a while but helps ease the pain), but everyone else will love it here. There are about a hundred different little beauty studios within this building and it's a fun, girly spot to visit. Julie's studio is on the second floor and was spotless, fresh and beautiful. She has one facial studio and one microblading studio - both next to each other. She uses Skinceutical products (which if you're not familiar, are highly-recommended and effective products). I've heard the brand mentioned multiple times from all the celebrity estheticians I follow on Instagram and had been wanting to try them. Julie kept my facial simple by washing it, doing extractions, using a steam machine, using this awesome light tool that zaps bacteria on your face, this awesome gel moisturizer that she said would hydrate my skin much better than my current moisturizer, retinol she had recommended for me (it was an evening appointment so she got my face "ready for bed" - yay!), and more. She also sent me home with a few Skinceutical samples that I'm excited to try. Super excited to go back and use the new products she's recommended for me. If you've never gotten a facial before, I HIGHLY recommend going at least once, because the products you might be using in your daily life could be worsening your skin without you realizing it. I decided to say to heck with it and just get everything redone. $60+ later, I get home Wednesday evening and noticed my left thumb was already cracked. -Saturday 2/28 - went back at 6:15pm to repair( they close at 7 according to online and their door signs) doors were locked. - Saturday 3/7 - (they're closed sundays and I work during the week), I called to get my thumb nail repaired from my 2/26 visit. I wanted to call first to make sure someone would be available and avoid last weeks' situation. No answer. Called 3x periodically. Keep in mind, I am not doing any hard labor etc. the tap gel x is supposed to last several weeks so it's frustrating that I've had to go back 4x in a single month with the amount of $ spent.
