Salon 6 is just north of the main Broad Ripple village off of College Ave. My favorite thing about this salon (other than the haircuts I get) is the overall atmosphere. My stylist, Heidi, has given me some of the best haircuts I've ever had, hands down. When I booked my first appointment with her she took the time to talk about what I wanted and ask me questions. After allowing my hair to grow for a couple years and really doing nothing with it, I was looking for a "long shag" cut which I had asked for from other stylists at other salons that never seemed to turn out the way I envisioned it. Lucky for me, Heidi is spectacular at shag cuts and also specializes in razor cuts, which can be difficult to find. I told her I was ready for a change and to go for it and the results were even better than what I had in mind. Since then I've received multiple compliments on my cuts with an added comment "that's the kind of cut I've been wanting and I can't find someone to do it right!" My visits are always pleasant and relaxing. I never feel pressured to chat or make small talk, but when we do it's easy and laid back. I always leave with a fresh cut and style that makes me feel like I just treated myself to something luxurious without the feeling of a stuffy, ostentatious "luxury" salon where everyone leaves with basically the same haircut, color, extensions, etc. Salon 6 not only meets what I'm looking for in a salon experience, but Heidi takes it to the next level with her killer haircuts.
