Britt is so kind and easy to talk to, and she does a great job of explaining the process and the products she's using. The micro-needling was pretty simple and quick. It's slightly painful on the first session, but the numbing cream she uses helps with that and it gets better with successive sessions. She takes photos before and after so she can keep track of your progress and recommend treatments or products based on your needs. She doesn't sell products there which always makes me feel better, like she's really recommending the best thing for you, not just because she's selling it. Healing went well and my skin looks better than ever! She says she can age you backwards and honestly, I believe it. She does a good job of explaining aftercare and answering any questions you may have. She also does a quick check up two weeks after your first session just to make sure things are going well. I believe the boutique is currently in a transitional space while she waits on another spot to open up nearby. I can't wait to visit once that happens, I'm sure it will be even more relaxing and lovely. The salon itself is very cool, with tons of different beauty vendors located inside. The Waxing Spot is located in the back and has a little sign outside of its pocket door. The owner was kind and does all of the waxes herself. She's been doing it for over ten years and is super efficient. Important note: they do big strips of wax at once to get the hair off quickly. This is a quick and efficient way to do waxing, but is also more painful. If it's your first wax ever, I'd say go to a place that does the small pieces of wax for an hour or so (takes a while but helps ease the pain), but everyone else will love it here. There are about a hundred different little beauty studios within this building and it's a fun, girly spot to visit. Julie's studio is on the second floor and was spotless, fresh and beautiful. She has one facial studio and one microblading studio - both next to each other. She uses Skinceutical products (which if you're not familiar, are highly-recommended and effective products). I've heard the brand mentioned multiple times from all the celebrity estheticians I follow on Instagram and had been wanting to try them. Julie kept my facial simple by washing it, doing extractions, using a steam machine, using this awesome light tool that zaps bacteria on your face, this awesome gel moisturizer that she said would hydrate my skin much better than my current moisturizer, retinol she had recommended for me (it was an evening appointment so she got my face "ready for bed" - yay!), and more. She also sent me home with a few Skinceutical samples that I'm excited to try. Super excited to go back and use the new products she's recommended for me. If you've never gotten a facial before, I HIGHLY recommend going at least once, because the products you might be using in your daily life could be worsening your skin without you realizing it. When you go, you'll at least know which products will keep longevity in your skin and you can't put a price on that targeted advice, specific and personalized to your skin type.
