I love Bliss Nails! My pedicure was absolutely wonderful. I arrived 15 minutes early (on a Sunday) before the salon opened because I knew there would be a line outside the door. I was 7th in line. Once the store opened at noon we were all greeted with smiles and serviced quickly. Service: My nail tech was super sweet and gentle. She took her time painting my toes and massaging my feet and legs. The massage chairs are very comfortable and relaxing. Atmosphere: The salon is ALWAYS clean and welcoming. The long and pretty chandelier towards the back of the salon is really pretty. Price: $26 for a normal pedi. Worth every penny. I even tipped more than 25%. Bliss nails also did mani and pedis for my entire bridal party 2 years ago and my friends still rave about how much they enjoyed it. The Mimosas were pretty delicious too! Found my new nail spot! I live downtown and there really aren't many options downtown so I drive to Broad Ripple. I was going to another salon but their gel color options have been lacking lately so I was kind of disappointed. I have a friend that goes to Bliss and its near my other salon so I decided to try it out as i'm leaving on vaca and needed my nails done. From the moment I walked in until the moment left I was impressed. The staff was friendly, I didn't have to wait too long and they had so many color options! Side note, I dropped my phone in the pedicure bath and of course freaked out but they were so helpful when it happened. That in it self is a reason i'll come back. I recently started becoming a regular here. I normally try to see Yu for my services. The salon is clean and she does a great job. I prefer to make appointments vs walking in, so my one issue is that they don't really have a good system in place for managing appointments. I called several weeks ago to schedule an appointment 3 weeks out and was asked to call back in a couple of weeks to schedule the appointment. The time before that I made an appointment while I was in the salon already, and saw them write it down on some little piece of paper. I recommend a better system, particularly in a computer, because they can easily miss out on business this way. read more

My sister and I LOVE Bliss Nails!! It's the only place we'll go now to get our nails done. I live in Bloomington and I drive up to Indy every 2-3 weeks to get them done at Bliss. Everyone there is always incredibly sweet, and they do an amazing job. They always take the time to check their work and make sure it's perfect. I recently moved back to this area and went back to this nail salon, since I've been there before and had pretty good experiences. Unfortunately, it was not as expected. I had called and asked for an appointment time or better to walk in, I was able to make an appointment which was nice. I walked in and was greeted and asked to pick a color. I was then told to sit at a table and the "gentleman " was going to service my nails, I was the only customer In this salon I got taken back by 10:15am, he NEVER once asked me anything about my nails he's just started doing his work, he never asked me if I wanted it cut down or if I was happy with it , he literally just slapped some acrylic on my nails to fill them in. He had zero conversation with me and really seemed uninterested in doing my service. I have never felt so unwelcome some where. I was contemplating a nail color and asking for input and well it was silent no input nothing, 10:45 my service was complete. So I'm 30 minutes I had a pretty unsatisfied experience and paid $38 for a fill in. I'm not the arguing or confrontational type I will just not return and pass bad business experience on to other clients I know, if you have a new client then give them an experience. I paid for a service and did everything right on my part, you should treat everyone who walks in the door nicely you never know what their going through and maybe they just needed a break and to relax. My incident took place this year in October 2018, I started going to this nail salon around a year ago, I seen incidents however since it didn't affect me I just turned the other cheek. Shame on me and others. Starting off last year in 2017 they over charged my credit card after I gave a generous tip and Chase Bank informed me that this isn't the only time that, that nail salon has over charged clients. I received a refund from Chase and Ken the owner was debating with me although I had a receipt and my bank statement stating how they clearly overcharged my credit card. Smh......I also seen discrimination take place with other clients who were outraged. Finally after a long time as a loyal client they pulled a fast one on me. So much for loyalty, so as many may know only Ken the owner and another lady are the only 2 that do acrylic nails and go to the lady her work is very satisfactory. Ken is not talented he just rushes and does not as good job that's why majority of clients go to the other lady and wait. So the morning I got my nails done, Ken did a horrible job I mean terrible, 4/5 white women came in he greeted them well the entire shop like they were Queen Elizabeth I seen this behavior prior to many times before and should have stop going to this shop then. Some people swear by this shop however if you think about it only the lady that does acrylic does a great job. I am not just saying this out of spite they are average and the long wait they are known for is OVER-RATED as far as the wait is worth it. Go to Style Nails - Lucy are Lotus Spa - Ben which is also on 62nd Street that give you the royal treatment and respect. Back to the story so Ken had my nails looking like I hadn't just had a fill-in I ask for a refund are a re-do and they denied me. Even other clients were like omg and shook their heads. I cant believe the amount of money I have spent in this shop that he would treat me like I am haven't given more generous tips and get the works all the time. I am not positive who these group of women were but they distracted him so hard he did a horrible fill and polish job. I went to another shop spent double the money just to get them fixed and wouldn't you know that very day, 2 ladies in the shop I went to get my nails fixed said oh they had that terrible experience as well so if they were the last shop on earth I guess I wouldn't get my nails done. So I haven't been back since October 2018 and I will never give this shop my business again in LIFE. Discrimination of any kind is unacceptable and they will never get a dime of my money again in LIFE. read more

Expect to wait for more than an hour no matter what time you go, for them to persuade you on color or design, for them to honor "regulars" who don't have appointments - I know this first hand because I'm a regular but if I want in line I don't deserve to go first! The good: The actual pedicure portion was pretty good. Nails and cuticles trimmed, filed, and buffed without any issues. The basic color was applied with precision. The bad: They were seriously understaffed on the Sunday afternoon I visited. I waited for a short time before getting into a pedicure chair. The problem was that I waited while soaking my feet for so long that my skin wrinkled, the water was cold, and my massage chair cycled all the way through twice. No music, no tv, and no lively salon talk. It was nearly library quiet without the sounds of the actual work. The ugly: I'm not sure this place is cleaned properly. The chair I sat in had grime on the tray table and rails. I did see them clean the pedicure tubs so there's that. Also under the "ugly" banner is the design I got on my big toes. I've been to a number of salons and asked for a flower on top of the base color without any problems. On this trip I made the same request and got a mangled mess of white dots swirled together...Not quite a flower. read more

Saturday 9/15/18 2:00 pm. I was visiting family and decided to go to Glendale for shopping. Needing my nails done I walked in because proximity. The ambiance is very relaxing with a beautiful chandelier and soft music playing in the background. Vast array of nail colors at affordable prices. Walk-ins are welcome and wait time is no more than 15 minutes. Very well staffed. The equipment is clean and modern, very comfortable leather massage chairs. Both the pedi and mani I received were adequate, and I left satisfied with nails and feet. My total was $71.00 which included acrylic full set (previous nail take off) and basic pedicure. However, I noticed some of the staff treat customers differently based on the color of their skin. When Black customers entered a technician's eyes would dart up and flatly ask, "What you want?" When White customers entered there were several, "Hello, how may I help you?" They also were more engaging and catering to White customers by holding conversation, and smiling. Also when it was time to do my nails I was chastised for wanting a new full set. When my tech finished my nails and handed me my receipt she snorted under her breath when I marked $0.00 under tip. What she didn't know is I intended to pay cash in tip so she could receive it in full. Feeling chided I thanked her for her service (which she didn't respond back, she simply walked away to another task) and left quietly. If you can't be bothered with basic customer service for "some" people I can't be bothered to tip. FYI: Upon reading other reviews I realize that I'm not alone in the racially biased feeling. P.S. Dear owner, I don't need you to comment anything to me. Just know I will warn all of my Indiana friends and family to never patronize your establishment. read more

Bliss nails is amazing!! I've been going here for years! The staff members are friendly and work really fast without compromising quality of work. Right when you walk in You are greeted by a staff member and told to check in, you can choose whichever color and shortly after you will be ready to go! They normally have a lot of staff working because so many people love this place. They have about 8 stations for nails and 8 for toes. One of the best things for me is this place doesn't smell like a nail salon!!!!! My second favorite thing is they will give you wine if you ask for it . How this place has so many stars is truly one of the secrets of our vast and mysterious universe. So, I was a walk-in, and as an un-appointmented individual, I understand there will be a wait. Almost TWO HOURS later and after forlornly watching after people who came in after me get served, I was charged about 50 bucks less tip for a half-hearted pedicure and this mangled monstrosity called a manicure. I just kept my mouth shut. At this point, my blood pressure was so high that any verbal communication with another human would have certainly caused a fatal aneurysm, and besides - if they churn out this crapola on the regular, they're sensibly not gonna care if I bring it to their attention. I'm able to have very nice conversations with them and I don't feel judged. They are handling COVID-19 very well. They have a device that takes your temperature when you enter. Nothing to brag about. The guy started off doing my nails, the young looking woman finished them. They were constantly making faces and talking in their language to one another. He abruptly stopped for like 5 minutes and then she finished. They were acting very rude and my nails aren't even and they're not the same shape throughout. I have been a customer off and on for almost 8+ years. They use to be pretty reliable/consistent with their work. But post covid - as with many places they are short staffed, long waits, barely take appts, overpriced, dusty , no ambience (music,tv -nothing) and sloppy work. It's frustrating but I put up with it because of the decent work Ken/Can used to do. The reason I'm leaving a review is because I got a fill in on 4/20 and by 4/22, 4/23 I noticed a lifting nail . I spent $51 for a fill-in and for lifting to be happening is ridiculous! Outside of this incident, in general my acrylics barely last no more than 2weeks, before lifting, chipping, breaking begins -on gel acrylic nails. I had sets that still look good and hold after 3 weeks. They honestly seem not to care about their reviews/improvements, the cleanliness of shop, implementing incentives/reward programs, discounts. There are more nail shops around who have better to offer and have comparable prices and make your money worth while. If you can, I recommend not being bothered with this place - they are just not the same. This nail salon has had ups and downs over the past few years. Changes in employees and ownership, maybe. I'd sworn them off after a pedicure where the lady punched my foot (seriously) while administering a massage I asked not to have. The same lady told me about how she used to be afraid of black people but got a black boyfriend and wasn't anymore. Ma'am, that is not chit chat. lol Anyway, after disasters at Lotus and OP Nails I reluctantly returned. I've been pleasantly surprised. My nails are sharp, pointy talons...just the way I like them! I typically go on weekdays, during the day so the wait is never bad. The shop is clean and sometimes eerily quiet. Other times strange classical versions of pop songs cut in and out. I didn't come for a concert though- the nails are oh so good. I've had a really thorough pedicure, too. My only complaints would be the longest crystal chandelier ever that I almost walk into every time and the fact some employees seem weary with their job and don't try to hide it. I don't expect warmth but open disdain ain't the jam. With all that being said, I walk around the chandelier and ignore any attitude. My nails are gorgeous thanks to this place.
