The food was outstanding, their biscuits and butter are legendary! Paula was our waitress and she's amazing! She's part of why Kilroy's is still going strong! Can't say enough about how great she has been the past 25+ years -- always a treat when we are in her section. I will always come eat at Kilroy's when I'm in the area!!

In town to visit my uncle so we let him pick where he'd like to dine. He especially loves this place for its prime rib, but we were there for lunch so we went for "slightly" lighter entree choices. I opted for a specialty burger with onion rings (an up charge but worth it). The rest of my party opted for similar choices. All were solid but nothing special per se. They did forget the bacon my uncle added to his cheese burger but they quickly rectified this. Despite that, this fit the bill for what we were looking for in that we wanted casual with decent food that didn't break the bank with good company. Additionally, this place had a vintage military vibe that I really like. This bar grill restaurant is clearly a local staple. Everyone seemed to know everyone. The owner even stopped by our table to check in with us.

Food was delicious as usual. You cannot go wrong with the porkchop dinner or the shrimp dinner. Great drinks. Service is on par either friendly folks. Ambiance is casual.

This establishment has been in this same shopping center forever! The decor inside has not changed in forever (same since I was a child and in 38) Pros: Server Paula-has also been here forever and is a superb server! BISCUITS-these are seriously the best and have not changed since I was a kid. The honey butter makes them great! Salad-they have a nice shaved carrot, diced tomatoes, fresh spring mix and croutons. Plus good ranch and a good amount of croutons. Baked Potato French Fries Just okay: French Onion soup: would not order again. The broth was not very rich. French Dip-not a lot meat and just no flavor. Cons-Chip in the wine glass and one member of the party got cut. They did bring a bandaid but the classy thing would have been to comp the glass of wine.

Well, it didn't disappoint based on reviews I read before stopping by this evening. Just would have liked to know about the St Patty's day special-the waiter didn't say anything and I didn't ask so got their famous prime rib.$30 I ordered the 10oz, and devoured it-can out well vs medium well but it was so tender it didn't matter. I got the Cajun seasoning and baked potato. Baked potato was a little too over cooked and not steamy hot. I ordered the corned beef special to go-came w/ green beans, potatoes, and cabbage.$16.99 Ate the corned beef the day after and it was delicious and the homemade horseradish is to die for.

Great locals spot to watch a game and have a beer. I've been a few times with friends and it's always packed. Especially during a Caps game! The mozzarella sticks are the best I've ever had. A must order. Wings are solid too.

Generally go here with groups, and it is a nice atmosphere. Could they perhaps update their menu? Yes please. However for the reasonable prices, I like their entrees. You usually get a decent amount, and the taste is quite good. Their chicken dishes are my favorite. This is a cozy place. It's been around a long time. By the amount of people whom go here, it should stay as well. Parking is a cinch. Getting in and out of Ravensworth Shopping Center, can be rather challenging. If you want a family friendly place, or get together, this definitely works!

    Ask the Community - Kilroy's

Do you have outside seating that could hold approximately 25 people for a private party?

If you consider a partially-enclosed tent "outside," then yes. They have a very large tent and patio structure outside. It's heated in the winter and has fans in the summer. My best guess is it can accommodate a party of ~50.

Is the restaurant still owned by Philip and Stephen Thomas?

    Yep!

The first thing that coughed my attention was the interior decoration. The floor was painted like the sea, It had fishing nets hanging on the wall. It gave you a vibe like you were at the sea. The food was amazing. The seviche was my favorite dish, and it was nicely decorated with a plate on top of a boat. However, the arroz con mariscos is not a bad choice. The advertised drink specials were also incorrect, and we had to show it to them before they eventually honored it. The drinks were terrible. No sugar or flavor in them and it was like drinking stale water but it was supposed to be a pineapple margarita. This is the first time I ever had a bad margarita. The food was overpriced for the little portions we got. We felt hungry still after spending over $100 there and felt as if we got ripped off. There were extra mysterious charges that we had to ask them about and have them correct. Besides one other group of 4 people, we were the only other group there and yet the service was slow. My friends speak Spanish fluently so there was no issue with communication. The sound system is good, bathroom was clean and the staff were otherwise nice but we will not return.

+ Five-Star Plus Review: Casa de Campo…read more Casa de Campo delivers a meal that goes far beyond expectations and earns a true five-star plus rating from the very first bite. Let's start with the rice, because it deserves center stage. Absolutely out of this world. Each grain is perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and clearly prepared with care and tradition. It is not just a side dish. It is comforting, bold, and memorable on its own. The kind of rice you keep going back to even when you think you are full. The rotisserie chicken is equally impressive. Cooked to perfection, it is juicy, tender, and packed with flavor all the way through. The seasoning is balanced and authentic, enhancing the natural taste of the chicken without overpowering it. Every bite is moist, savory, and satisfying, with a beautifully cooked exterior that shows real attention to detail. What truly stands out is the consistency and quality. Nothing feels rushed. The food is clearly made with pride, skill, and respect for the ingredients. This is comfort food elevated by technique and heart. Casa de Campo is not just a place to eat. It is a place to enjoy a full, satisfying meal that leaves you happy, full, and already planning your next visit. If you are looking for incredible flavor, perfectly cooked food, and a dining experience that delivers every single time, Casa de Campo is the place to go. Five stars are not enough. This place earns a five-star plus rating without question.

The actual restaurant feels massive but decorated in a rustic way. I want to give a huge shout out to Alicia. She is such a knowledgeable, approachable, and receptive server. She was on top of refilling drinks, making sure we weren't left alone for too long when we were waiting for our food to come, and just had an overall amazing energy. While we really enjoy all of the servers we've had at Mikes, Alicia takes the cake. If there's any way to provide her with recognition, I would highly vouch for it. She could sell me anything on that menu with that kind of personality! Thank you, Alicia! I'm going to make sure we try to get seated at your table again.

I visited Mike's American after coming across it on Resy and was able to get a same-day reservation…read morefor two on Easter Sunday. As expected, it was busy, but the restaurant does have a fairly large parking lot which made arrival easier. The setup was interesting. After checking in downstairs, I was given a ticket and directed upstairs for seating. I took the elevator, which offered a clear view of the kitchen below as it ascended... definitely a unique touch. Upstairs, another host staff guided us to our table. The space had a lively feel, roaring with chatter from customers, and I could see parts of the kitchen where food was being prepared over an open flame, which added to the overall atmosphere. For the food, we started with the calamari. It was cooked well and had a nice texture, especially paired with the crispy onion shoestrings, which added a good crunch and flavor. It was served over a lobster sauce, although the lobster flavor wasn't very noticeable. The main issue was the salt level... it was quite heavy! I did enjoy it overall, but I would only recommend it to someone who doesn't have to watch their sodium intake. For entrées, I ordered the steak cooked medium with broccolini. The dish automatically comes with mashed potatoes, and while I was able to substitute the salad for broccolini, there didn't seem to be flexibility with the potatoes. After tasting the mashed potatoes, I wish I was offered to substitute it as it tasted like the brown box we grew up on where you just added water. When the food came out, the steak was closer to medium-well or well done rather than medium, and both the mashed potatoes and broccolini were a bit cold. I chose not to send it back since we waited but it did affect the overall experience. My guest ordered the ribs with fries and coleslaw. The ribs were well-prepared--tender with a clean pull off the bone--and were probably the highlight of the meal. The fries were also very good and came out hot. The coleslaw wasn't as well received, described as having too many of the tougher parts of the cabbage. Overall, the experience had some positives, especially in terms of atmosphere and certain menu items like the ribs and fries. While I did enjoy parts of the meal, it's not somewhere I would personally return to, but it may be worth trying once to form your own opinion.
