We came here with good expectations hoping we would enjoy some authentic Peruvian food but unfortunately, that was not the case. I really think they need to cover their menus in plastic covers as they were very dirty. The place inside looked nice and clean but it was very cold. The waitress was semi friendly but she seemed more worried about the other table complaining about their food. I looked at the menu and they seemed to have more seafood than your regular dishes. No seco, no arroz con pollo, no aji de gallina. I decided to have anticuchos and papa a la huancaina. I didn't find the papa a la huancaina option in the menu BUT I did see papas dos colores. We got the food pretty fast but I questioned what I got. My plate didn't look like the one in the menu, instead it was on top of what I thought was papa a la huancaina. The steaks themselves were not marinated enough and no corn in sight. The papa a la huancaina looked good but the ocopa was bitter and tasted like the queso fresco you are suppose to make it with was a little out of date. I did not finish it. I had chicha to drink and it wasn't bad but a cup of water would've been nice. The waitress never came to check on us but as I said earlier, I think she was worried about another table whose dishes were not what they wanted. There is an 18% gratuity included which I think needs to be changed. They also should change the pictures in the menu to match what they serve. If there was a no-star option I would've given that. Born and raise in the motherland and this place is by far the worse restaurant I've ever been to. Lets go straight to the point, if you have no idea how to cook authentic Peruvian dishes, do not even attempt to sell it. I ordered cebiche as my appetizer and fried fish as my main course. The cebiche was flavorless, both corn and sweet potato raw. The fish itself was frozen, yes FROZEN, who in their right mind would use frozen fish, maybe the reason why it had no flavor. My fried fish dish had uncooked rice, the yuca was fried in dirty oil and left to soak. Last but not least, the fish itself was like a mushy piece of masa battered in flour. This place is in dire need of more reviews. At the time of my writing this I'm guessing they've been around maybe at most two months. I'm going to go ahead and say they're probably going to last a good while here once they pick up steam. The food was very, very good. I've had a ton of Peruvian food in the northern VA area and I can safely say it was in the top Peruvian food I've had. I had the tallarin saltado and my girlfriend had the lomo saltado. Peruvian food tends to run expensive with small portions in my experience. Not this place. I'm never one to leave food on my plate, but I just could not finish everything. Prices were almost a steal for the amount of food we got. We also shared the salchipapas which had some of the best huancaina sauce I've had as well. I do wish it could have come with more sauce on it from the get go but they we're more than happy to bring us more. On the way out I also got a huge plate of arroz chaufa to go for lunch the next day. Service was pretty good. I can see the food taking a little longer when it's packed but the quality of the food is worth it. They had live music which could make or break your night depending on your mood but I didn't mind it. The only thing that was weird servicewise was the fact that tip is already included so beware if you don't feel like double tipping. New hole in the wall location. Price friendly food and the portions are more than what you pay for. My wife orders a tallerin saltado and I ordered an arroz chaufa de carne which were both amazing. I knocked off one star as their alcoholic drinks are very pricey. We also ordered Papa La Huancaina for an appetizer and it was worth it. The sauce had a nice kick as it should which was amazing. The food overall was amazing. A must for anyone Peruvian food lovers. read more

I had the lomo saltado here it was pretty decent. The atmosphere is more bar like. The bar is very large and pretty however I was on the clock so I could not check it out and grab a drink. The staff was very friendly and gave me quick service. The parking however was very limited but the restaurant itself is large. This a latin bar/restaurant that serve Central American. Ok, so this place used to be a Korean restaurant that recently closed and the owners of "Tandoori Nights", that used to be right next door moved in and changed the name to "Casa Grande." This is more of a hangout place to be with the buddies having a couple cold beers or drinks. The ladies are attentive of their customers as well as the bartenders, but on the weekends nights this place gets packed! So be warned! The food is good they have a lot of your typical latin flare like carne asada (steak), ceviche (seafood), pollo (chicken) etc. I have not had the opportunity to try their weekend menu of Bolivian cuisine so I can't say much. However, I did here that they have very good Bolivian cooks. The bar area is a good size in a "L" shape and they have a smaller side bar. The room has a stage for DJing and on the weekends they have live bands (latin) playing and plenty of room for dancing Friday - Sunday nights. read more

The food had nothing special and the worst part was their timing. I got my food about 15mins before my date and it seemed that I was not the only one. I'll start with the positives: the ceviche de pescado was very tasty and just the right amount of spiciness. The leche de tigre was also great and had a nice presentation. It took a while to come out, but it was worth it. The problem was the service... Firstly, when our waitress brought our ceviches she only brought two spoons and three people had ordered ceviches. We tried waving her down, but it took a few minutes for her to notice us. Another thing was that she brought us three red salsa cup/packets, and two of them were cold and full, while one was room temperature and half full. It seemed like it was already used and she grabbed it by accident and gave it to us. She also never came by to refill our water. All three people at my table had empty or nearly empty glasses. I even asked her if she could bring water and she said ok, and then never brought it. There were only two other tables at the restaurant! It makes me wonder how bad the service must be when it's a little busier... I hate to complain, but come on!! There were only two tables, there were various servers, they really could have done better at being attentive. We weren't checked on or asked how anything was. Our server seemed really disinterested. I heard this place was good so I had to try and see for myself. I went with my family of about 12 people and we ordered a lot of difference foods. We had anticuchos, tallarines saltados con Mariscos and jalea con mariscos and I did not like them at all the anticuchos was definitely not done on the grill like it's suppose to. So it didn't taste the same as other places that I went to. The tallerines saltados con mariscos only had about a box of noodles with just 3 shrimp which we complain about. why would you have 3 shrimp on a mountain of noodles and the jalea con mariscos it didn't taste fresh to me. We went today because we wanted to eat some peruvian food, when we first entered the restaurant nobody was there to greet us we stood there for more than 3 minutes after that we decided to sit ourselves, we ordered one lomo saltado and one tallarin verde w / steak. Lomo was 7 out of 10 Tallarines verde are not made properly the peruvian way. Didn't seem to be freshly made too much basil favlor overpowering the sauce and no spinach at all. We had to return it because my mom did not like it. And she ordered chaufa aeropuerto de mariscos. I only had one spoon of it .. it was sooo GREASY OILY if u are peruvian you know they don't put red peppers on an aeropuerto, and add sesame seeds on it, they abused on the soy sauce it was way too salty couldn't even enjoy it. We told the manager or owner that it wasn't good and that we didn't wAnt to eat it . It was very expensive for a mediocre plate 16.99$ for that ?? At the end server came with a check adding her tip 18% when you could tell she was having a bad day or barely even paid any attention to us. We will not be coming back The people who owned or manage the restaurant have never stepped a foot in Peru . We ordered a whole chicken - which everyone in our party of five loved, as well as the chicken fried rice, the lomo saltado and extra black beans. It was all really good, especially the fried rice, they were good sized portions.
