She scheduled Peter to come out and give me an estimate. Peter came out and gave me a no BS estimate. He was a straight shooter and explained his process through and through. Moving day came and my wife and I were ready to go. Alex and his crew showed up at 8AM and we were off to the races. They had my furniture wrapped and boxes in the truck in under and hour an a half. But unfortunately, I did not have anyone to help me move into my new apartment so I thought I'd give HPS a call due to their good reviews. And man, was I glad I gave in and let my guard down! These guys are very professional and kind. Explained everything in full and were very reasonable for all the service they provide. I was honestly a bit worried because I am a young woman on my own and most companies like to take advantage and pile up fees in hopes I would not fight back but not these guys. They are straight forward and very helpful and understanding. I HIGHLY recommend giving them a call. You will not regret it!

Our job was simple: move out our furniture into our home garage, basement and bathrooms for us to do the flooring of our home. Marty jumped on the assessment, came quickly and estimated the cost of 3 hrs. After that, he was out of reach. I left him multiple messages about the contract for example to clarify some things and he never called me back. His appointment manager did everything possible to reach him and then she would give me a call back with information. It was just a weird red flag about this company. We didn't pay anything yet but I can't even confirm how it works. He doesn't call at all. Why? No idea. So it happened and we had some damage accidentally during the move out. Minor but kept us vigilant and uneasy about dealing with Marty. Again, I left multiple messages to get clarity on how damages are handled and nothing. The assistant refused to engage in the subject telling me that she doesn't handle contract details. Ok..... they just replaced the rolling leg on the cabinet drawers they broke to appease and it didn't even fit... Fast forward to move (back) in. Massive water damage due to Marty's guys storing things improperly in the tub and not making sure the faucet is securely off. It turned out, it was dripping for a whole week and everything in the tub was soaking wet (name brand purses in luggages, clothing, towels, comforters, pillows...) and moldy. The guys admitted they shouldn't have used the tub at all for storage. It was a bad idea. In all of this, I asked Marty to call me back and I sent him pictures of all the new found damage as we unboxed everything fully (3 days after the move in) and he wouldn't call back. Brushes the whole thing off as if it is not their fault. They reimbursed only a fraction of the cost and ignore every request to contact us. It's very frustrating. Massive losses that can easily add up to more $1500 not to mention the headache of dealing with all the wet contents of the luggage and pillows with moldy smell. I can't unrecommend Marty enough. Please stay away and get a better communicating guy who cares about his client and communicates better.

Zero stars for zero effort and zero customer service (if I could).

We had a written schedule that they would arrive on Dec 19 to load my household items into a shipping container. I paid a $879.50 deposit. On the morning of the move, Joe Arias called and said the container was not available and he didn't know when it would be available. With an imminent house sale and flight, that left my family scrambling to hire a replacement mover at the last minute. After they failed to perform, Joe agreed by phone/text to return the deposit, replying: "please give me a few days..." After I followed up, the story changed: he started claiming a $379 "box delivery" charge and a "72 hour cancellation fee" on the day-of--despite having never turned up himself. He refused to sign a contract and never providing me any signed terms covering those charges. Bottom line: they didn't show up with the container, couldn't give a new date, promised a refund, then never gave it back. Would not trust.
