We recently moved right at the end of year with HMS. I got online pricing from a few other moving companies prior. The price varies greatly and there was no detailed description of that the pricing included. What concerned me was the reviews for most of these companies were very negative. Some stated they were hold ransom with their stuff on the truck until they paid more money. We were moving from one house we sold to another and had a good amount of stuff to be moved. After seeing review with HMS which were almost all positive, I called HMS to come in for an estimate. Vera accommodate by coming on the weekend. We walked thru three levels of my house plus the shed which Vera came up with list of all major and even minor items to be moved. She then gave me a detailed estimate with maximum not to exceed price. Since our closing of both selling and buying was on the same day, on a Friday right before New Year, I was very nervous if all will go right as we need to finish the move by noon to drive an hour to sign paper with the lawyer. Couple days prior to the move, Harvey the foreman call me to make sure they can start at 6am to guarantee the move can be completed on time. On the day five guys including Harvey came and started the move on time and started wrapping things like our glass dining table and sofa. Within three hours all three levels including the basement of our house was moved into the large box truck. Harvey even left a man behind with me to help clean before our buyer came for final walk thru at 9:30am. The entire move of the houses was completed before 11:30. Needless to say I was glad we chose the right company for the job. I don't wish we will move for a long long time but if we ever do there would be only one company that I would go back to. BY FAR the best experience I've ever had working with a moving company and coming from someone who has moved 4 times in the past 5 years, that says a lot! Vera was awesome and super easy to work with. She came over to our apartment on a Saturday to take a look at the inventory and was VERY friendly, professional and personable. On the day of the move, we didn't have to worry about a thing, the guys showed up on time, and worked FAST and efficient. They even made an extra stop at our storage unit and still finished an hour earlier than expected, we actually saved money on the deal, which is unheard of!! I would recommend Home Moving Solutions to anyone that is moving and looking for reliable, trustworthy and accommodating moving services. We have experienced some nightmares before (think those Optimum commercials with the most incompetent and slow workers literally throwing your stuff around and giving you false time and monetary estimates) this was the exact opposite. We moved from a one bedroom walk-up down the street (within the same apartment complex) to a two bedroom walk-up on a higher floor. Danny and his crew were on-time, wonderful to work with, careful with our belongings and both locations (walls, doors, wood floors, etc.), professional throughout and fun. They disassembled our bed frame and headboard, moved a desk, couch, three area rugs, two side chairs, 55" television, entertainment center, wine fridge, beer fridge, moveable island, all of our personal belongings and additional items of various sizes and shapes. The quickness which Danny's team wrapped and moved our items with care was honestly amazing to watch! They asked helpful questions throughout and upon arrival at the new location they made sure to place items in the correct rooms. The team reassemble necessary items and placed large pieces of furniture and the rugs in the locations we would like them, which was a huge help. We will never stop recommending Home Moving Solutions, Danny and his team. My wife and I hired HMS to move out some items from my mother-in-laws home. My wife made the call and scheduled to move to take place on a Sunday morning at 9am. The guys arrived a little early and after the introductions we were given an explanation of what was going to be done, how it was going to be done and what we needed to sign and why. Everything was explained very clearly and any questions we had were answered concisely. We were moving some china and fine porcelain, some furniture items, kitchen items and a table saw. The guys were very careful making sure the china wasn't broken or chipped before wrapping and packing. If there was damage, they were sure to bring it to our attention. The crew was very courteous and even though my wife and I got in the way occasionally, they were the first to apologize. This company really understands the meaning of customer service. Before we knew it, the items were packed and loaded on the truck. Unloading was just as quick and careful. I have moved several times and used various companies. I was completely impressed with James, an owner, and his staff. When I called for an estimate, I received a phone call back the same day. Even though it was a holiday weekend, he came by to give me an estimate. He was professional, clean cut, organized, and seemed honest. I liked the fact that he was a young business owner and a family man. I liked his pricing structure - no surprises. When i needed boxes or paper, they were delivered the next day. He was always responsive via email or phone for any questions I had. On moving day his crew showed up and introduced themselves. They too were polite, clean cut and friendly. They would even ask if they could charge a cell phone or use the bathroom! They followed the instructions I gave them and never balked. I was truly impressed by their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to help when asked. I would absolutely recommend Home Moving Solutions. His quote was right on target....and what impressed me most, was how he worked with me in finding a storage center. Initially I planned on having HMS store my furniture as we had a few months between when we moved out of our home and into our apartment. In this instance, was more cost effective for me to use another facility....most owners wouldn't have guided us this way, but HMS did....and we appreciate that. Next is Vera...who is the liaison between the customer and the crew. We had a couple late date changes when we initially moved and she managed them with patience and professionalism. My experience with Home Moving Solutions was stellar from start to finish! Vera, the person who represented the company on the phone, was professional, upfront, and personable. The crew arrived promptly and worked carefully and methodically to assure my possessions traveled safely. Having gone through several large moves before, I can honestly say I have never seen such care being taken with the packing, transport, and unpacking! The crew members were courteous, professional and polished - all neatly groomed. One especially touching thing was, in the frenzy of my move, I had forgotten to take a stuffed animal that holds special meaning off the sofa. One of the crew members noticed it, packed it carefully with the sofa, and when they arrived at my new destination and unwrapped the sofa, they placed the stuffed animal in the exact spot where I had inadvertently left it! The best moving company by far! James personally came and did an estimate reviewing each room and discussing various levels of pricing. Asking if I needed any boxes, packing material. There were different levels of pricing depending if we wanted to pack up the boxes or have his company come and do the hard work! The prices were amazing and the detailed price list of what I was being charged for in the estimate was exact and precise! The day of the move was perfect, they came prepared with extra boxes to help and wardrobe boxes for the closet to make an easier transition and move! They were gentle with all the furniture and maneuvered the toughest corners in a small stair case with large pieces of furniture! I was impressed! Having some mixed experiences in the past with moving companies, I looked at online reviews and short listed 3 candidates to interview. So glad that we picked HMS. Thoroughly professional, from start to finish. Had someone stop by to give us a detailed estimate and walked me through the whole deal. We had some stuff going to junk, some stuff in storage and rest to our new home. They were able to handle all 3 in a single trip. They were spot on with the estimate and even gave me a call 15 minutes before the early arrival time to let me know that were on the way. Great professional job dis-assembling our furniture, packing and re-assembling it. Even our neighbors commented on how careful they were with our stuff outside loading in the truck. The experience with HMS was wonderful from start to finish. They were the first service that I called and I felt no need to talk to anyone afterwards. James gave me an over the phone estimate and then met me in-home for a more accurate inventoried estimate. When the movers showed up, they were friendly and professional. Every detail was paid attention to - items were wrapped individually and loose things packed accordingly. Nothing was damaged or lost during my move. They were quick but not careless. When we got to my new place, they put together the furniture for me and put all of the boxes in the appropriate place given the labels on them. I have moved 7 times and this has been by far the easiest and fastest move. HMS was highly recommended by a friend, and I am so happy I went with them. Not only were they professional they were punctual and went above and beyond. I moved from NJ to PA in a 1 bedroom for a flat rate. They guys called and confirmed the day before, as well in the morning with an exact time they would arrive. When they got to my apartment they packed and wrapped everything up for me. They cleaned up after them selves and made sure we had everything before we left. Finally when we arrived to my new home they quickly unloaded the truck and made sure I was happy with where everything was placed. They even offered to re-move a couple boxed I had mislabeled! The owner called me back after hours when I was looking for a mover and answered all my questions. People sometimes forget that for some of us this is the first time doing this type of move and the non patronizing answers were refreshing. His office manager, Vera was clear, kind and always helpful. I must say the best part were the guys he sent out to us. Danny and his partner ( sorry can't remember his name. We moved from NJ to NY a few weeks ago. It was a large size move. I contacted multiple moving companies to come and see our stuff (not packed yet). HMS sent someone named Harvey. He looked around our house and quoted for 10 hours worth of move start to finish with 4 men working, including travel time. He seemed very professional, so we decided to hire this company. What a great decision that was. His team made our large move like a breeze. No damage to anything and finished exactly on time as he had quoted. This was the best company we hired so far whenever we moved. Other company cheated with their price but this was very professional. We moved from Bergen County down the shore on Memorial Day Weekend and Home Moving Solutions ROCKED! They arrived on time and went over everything with us to make sure we didn't have any questions. They took a great deal of care wrapping all the furniture to assure there was no damage in transit. When we got to our location they were only minutes behind and they were so efficient in the unload. So nice to offer to put together our dining table and had no problem with putting those felt circles on the bottom of each piece of furniture before putting it into place. As many are, we were very nervous for our move, even though it was just 30 minutes away and we did not have a lot of stuff to move. HMS, and especially Harvey the foreman were amazing. His two other movers were very fast, but also professional. In addition, they had no issue that between the in person estimate and the move we had gotten rid of several large items, which significantly decreased the scope of the move, saving us money. I can't say enough about how great their service was, and thus far in the process of buying our first home and moving, has been the head and shoulders above the rest, best service we have used.
