She was a pleasure to deal with and was available to answer my questions and help with concerns throughout our move. George (business owner) was the one who came over to quote us a price on the move. He was quickly available and came over the morning after my first call to assess the size of our move. He looked at what we had to go to our new place and had Danielle send us the quote right after. I'm pleased to say there was no "sticker shock". A very affordable rate. Matthew (another member of the family business) was the lead on move day. He confirmed the time the night before and was prompt with a team of 3 other gentlemen, his truck, and everything real pros need to move (truck, tools, specialty boxes, blankets, etc.) Ready to go! Tri-State Moving Company is my knight in shining armor. I was moving out of my apartment unexpectedly and I needed everything to go smoothly as I was to have surgery the following day. The original moving company I booked (which will now be referred to as the evil company) did not show. When I called them, they told me they would be over 5 hours late and they started screaming at me. TRI-STATE MOVERS TO THE RESCUE!!!! I called them with 5 hours to go until my storage unit closed. Can't say enough positive remarks about Tri-State Moving. First of all the estimate and amount of time needed to move from a house to storage unit + 2 furniture pieces to another residence was right on target. Greg, the owner was able to eyeball all the contents being moved and said it would easily fit in the 10 X 10 storage unit I rented. The day if the move, the team of Chris, Chris, and Justine arrived promptly on time and started wrapping antique furniture to be stored. Furniture was carried out to the truck very efficiently and they even accommodated our need of bringing a couch and table to our home before driving the bulk to the storage unit. Cannot say enough good things about Tri-State Moving. They answered the call and outperformed our expectations. We had to move 91 year-old friend into Assisted Living on short notice. Danielle, in the office took control of our issue and quickly connected us to George and his son, Chris. On the day of the move, Tri-State was on site early and despite elevator obstacles, rose to the occasion. The move was from the 27th floor. They wrapped and packaged everything in three hours and arrived at the Assisted Living an hour before the new resident arrived, Thus, her apartment was in place and she felt right at home. Selling your house and moving is a nightmare, closing dates that are cancelled, finding a new home, you get the picture. George and his crew were the only part of this process that went smooth as ice. They work extremely hard and efficiently. The process was explained to me before I even met George, he walked thru the house and I had an estimate 24 hrs later. The surprise came because my husband and I did a lot of packing ourselves before they came with the truck. The price dropped accordingly. I even gave their card to the couple that bought my house. Chris and his team were excellent to work with. Let's start with the fact that they were early. So important on moving day to get off on time.
