NJ Local Moving LLC moved me recently, and I had a great experience with them. They sent a three-man crew with a truck, and every one of them was considerate, professional, and easy to work with. They communicated well throughout the move, worked quickly while still being careful with my belongings, and made what can be a stressful day go much more smoothly. I really appreciated their hard work and positive attitudes. I would absolutely use them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for reliable movers. Hopefully I won't have to move again anytime soon LOL, but if I do, I know who I'll call! read more

This is my fourth move . I've made with this company and they are the best mover I've ever worked with and I've made several moves over my 65 years on this planet . They work within the realm of the estimate, they provide a professional service with a courteous staff. They were on time and they finished on the allotted time that they stated in the estimate. They even give you a cash discount. A five star experience and I recommend this team to anyone moving locally in the New Jersey New York Metro area. read more

The upmost terrible moving company to exist. They WILL scam you for lots of money, And they will withhold you stuff until payment. Good luck trying to pay because they are blocked on all mobile banking apps for scamming. Stay as far away as possible. read more

Office move to home. They came on time, were courteous, carefully wrapped my furniture and took care moving my boxes of office contents. The entire move was accomplished in less time than expected and their rates are extremely competitive. Would recommend reserving your move time at least 4 weeks in advance. read more

I have moved over 15 times professionally from small homes to 4500 square foot homes. This by far was the most pleasant, professional , efficient, and ethical smooth moves! Dimitri far exceeded his promises & professionalism. No up charge No surprises Complete wrap & protection No bumps And full floor & stair covered protection. read more

Just used NJ Local for a move on a super hot day and the guys did a great job. They were timely and careful in handling everything. They were also able to dissemble and reassemble a bunch of furniture to make it happen which was impressive. Would use again. read more

During my move, I was extorted by the crew (2 males). They cornered me out of everyone's ears and told me that they wanted to know how much tip I was going to pay them before they considered moving certain items. Specifically, they said they wouldn't move anything that's not in a box but if I would pay them good money they'd slip it in without their manager knowing. I was extremely tired from the stress of moving and simply didn't have the mental energy to cope with the extortion when it happened, so I let them extort me. I ended up paying 80 additional dollars in cash directly to them because I feared I'd have to deal with an incomplete move. After the move when I regained clarity, I was furious about their behavior. This was an outrageous misconduct and I'm enraged that these folks take advantage of people under stress. They should face consequences. It seems like the crew was doing this covertly, but just the fact that they hire such people is an unacceptable failure on the management's part. I cannot endorse a moving company that uses such unprofessional bullies as their crew. --------------------------- UPDATE: The manager Dimitris contacted me after the review and made an earnest effort to make amends for the incident. What happened is what happened, and I cannot change it. But I appreciate his effort and believe that the incident won't be repeated in the future, thus raising my score from 1 to 2. read more

2nd time I've used this company and once again had a great experience. On time, professional, very careful and efficient. Friendly and helpful as well! Would recommend! read more

Five stars for movers? How is that possible? Thankfully over the years I cannot say I have used that many different services but there was always something wrong. Things not handled correctly. Walls getting dinged. People not showing up on time. Worse yet, people not showing up at all. This, however, was a different experience! I got a text update morning of saying they were running a little late and they would arrive a little past their promised time. No worries! They kept me informed. Everyone was super nice to work with. (This was true for two separate times I needed to use them with different crews) From stuff out of storage units to large furniture pieces down and up tricky stairs -- to pinball machines that are super heavy and needed extra care everything went well. I think the hardest part about working with any mover is being accurate with what the scope of the job is going to be. For me I took pictures of the things I needed to get moved and simply sent them over to the company when I first used them since filling out a form with a room count was not going to translate well. Other services might be cheaper if I shopped around but I certainly will not be using anyone else if I need another NJ local move. read more

Highly recommend NJ Local Movers. They were professional, friendly, and efficient. Communication was great from the very beginning and they are more cost effective than others we found in the area. read more

NJ Local Moving was 10/10. I highly recommend using them for your next move. What is normally a very stressful situation was extremely calming and relaxed. Not only were they extremely professional they were also so courteous and friendly! All of my belongings were handled with the utmost care. I am so happy they assisted me with my move and highly recommend them! read more

Excellent experienced movers. They were on time, very professional, and pleasant, and extremely reasonably priced. would use again.

These guys are top notch and in high demand and there's a good reason for it. Not only are they super affordable but they're professional, attentive, careful, and efficient. I highly recommend them. Their response time is also very fast! Definitely reach out to them if you're looking for an established and well qualified mover! read more

I've used NJ Local Moving twice: when I moved into an apartment a year ago and most recently when I moved into a house. When you see the job that they do, you won't think twice about hiring movers. The team takes the time to carefully prepare furniture to be moved, giving you the peace of mind that your stuff will arrive in one piece. They even wrap up sofas in layers of plastic to protect them from damage. Not only are they careful, but they are also super efficient. Their movers are always super nice and helpful. All you need to do on moving day is relax a little bit and tell them where you want your things to go! Best of all, booking with them could not be easier. Both times, I was able to schedule them entirely through messages on Yelp, saving me the time of having to get on the phone. read more

From back office to the personal that come to your house, all are friendly and courteous. Got a quote within a couple emails, and locked in a date. Received a follow up text message/email the day prior to the move, along with a rough eta from movers. The 3 guys came in saw what need to be done and wrapped up the items in moving blankets and moved everything with ease. I will definitely be using them again. read more

These movers helped a family member with a move and we saved their info because they did such a great job. We used them when we moved this past week and they were just as good - professional, incredibly helpful, and responsive to what we needed. We've moved a few times in the past few years and they were far and away the best we've used. And no jump in price once they have all our stuff, unlike other companies. It's been hard to trust moving companies, but this company is the best. We would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

These guys are great! I had a move where I had stuff at a storage unit that needs to be brought back to my apartment and then move from my current apartment to another apartment in the same building. It was a bit crazy but these movers were amazing. They had a great attitude I got the job done without a hitch. I highly recommend them. read more

Moving is never enjoyable. Moving is honestly such a tedious and often times time-sucking experience. However, I cannot express this enough. NJ Local Moving made moving so easy. They text you when they're on their way, pull up in front of your unit and immediately get to work. The rest of the moving isn't on you, you just have to let them know what to move. The team of 3 men were efficient, super sweet and conversational. They got my 2 bedroom apartment moved and unloaded in under 4 hours. Upon unloading into my new apartment, they put the boxes into the rooms they were supposed to be in their final destination. All clothes made it into the closet, all living room furniture in the living room and so on. I can not recommend this company enough. Take the pain out of moving and hire them today! read more

The two men did a fantastic job. They were there on time and secured several items to prepare for storage. They were friendly, quick, efficient and very professional. I will definitely be calling and recommending them for future moving jobs. read more

They did an excellent job. The called to give me a time estimate of when they would arrive, and I received an automated text. They arrived right when they said they would, introduced themselves, and were super friendly. We did a quick walk through of everything that was being moved and got right to it. They were so great through the whole thing, took furniture apart that needed it, put it back together at our destination, and with a smile the whole time. Cannot say enough good things about them- it was the most enjoyable move I've ever had. Would not hesitate to use them! read more

Used them a second time to move from our South Orange apartment to our house in Fair Haven. Coincidentally had most of the same guys who were once again extremely friendly, quick (yet careful) and made the process a breeze. In an industry that I imagine has a lot of turnover, it reflects really well on this company that they're able to keep moving teams together. While I don't plan to move again for many years, I'd use them again without hesitation. read more

-Efficient I suppose (hence 2 stars not 1) -did not consistently wear masks -had difficulty with some of my very basic furniture and were essentially "well, I guess we just leave it" if I couldn't remove it, good thing I was there to assist them in using my $10 tool set... -truck was too small for my belongings (and I don't have that much stuff) -were not too helpful re: even moving my furniture around at destination If you do decide to use them despite this warning, I strongly recommend you call them to discuss precisely how much you will be moving in terms of bulk furniture and boxes (and describe the type of box as well - cardboard/plastic) and expect to box everything up in advance as they do not bring any packing materials at all unless preordered read more

They were on time and very efficient with my move, with no damage to any of my things. I was given an estimate, and the final price matched the estimate, with no hidden fees to throw me off. Only thing is I wish I had remembered to get cash, as they do charge a 4% credit card fee. Still, great service and I would use them again. read more

I had an amazingly good experience with NJ local moving. Dimitri and his team, Michael and Cory, were friendly, professional and efficient. They were able to deconstruct and reconstruct several complex items quickly and perfectly. All of my items arrived in excellent condition. On top of everything, they were also very well priced. I had originally reserved their services to move me from a six bedroom house for a particular date. Due to an extreme emergency I had to move up my moving date by two weeks with only a few days notice. Dimitri bent over backwards to accommodate me. I cannot recommend NJ local moving more highly. Not only are they good movers, they are genuinely good people. read more

Good Movers and they also provide good rates. They also accommodated some extra requests at the end when I asked them to move my big dirt pots filled with Plants. Dmitri and team are friendly and they reach at time and well priced read more

Team was awesome, nothing unexpected, no surprises with the contract, payment, etc. All three guys were friendly & personable and worked quickly, even through rain. Exercised caution & care in transporting all our furniture. Reasonable pricing. Next time I move, I'll know who to call. read more

With just one day to go before we moved to our new apartment, we zeroed in on NJ Local Moving. We had talked to at least 10 different movers, but Dimitri managed to put us at ease with his professional, calm and casual demeanor. The strong Yelp reviews, added to our decision. Come D-Day, they helped us pack all our big furniture, load and unload them at our new apartment. We had a 1 bedroom move, but had huge wooden furnitures in the living space. They managed it all. We truly appreciated the hard work they put behind the move. Very patient, calm, and accomodative movers. They even managed to move our 45 gallon fish tank without a scratch. They handled everything with a lot of care. Overall, we are quite happy with our move, and as we unwrap the boxes, we can say this much - excellent job guys. Highly recommended team here. read more

I haven't used this company so I can't say how well they actually move, but I just called for a quote and was given a minimum cost of $600, which seems kind of crazy. I am not even moving any sofas, I have a mattress, console table and boxes. I'm also only moving 5 miles from my current location. this company is listed as a budget friendly company but the price seems extreme. read more

I would definitely use NJ Local Moving again! They answered my quote and all my questions with fast responses. On moving day, I received an automated text message saying they were x minutes away and then received a call to make sure I knew they were on their way. When they got here, Michael, Jerome, and Sharif introduced themselves with smiles and good humor and went straight to work! They made the job look effortless. They had me moved from a 1 bed to another 1 bed apartment in under 4 hours, which included ~45 minute drive. My new apartment had narrow hallways and while the couch looked like it wouldn't fit, they assured me 110% that it would. And it did! And finally, the price is unbeatable. For the 5 start service and pricing, I will definitely be calling them again for my next move. read more

If you are looking for the best mover in the Garden State, hire NJ Local Moving. From the first phone call to their office our experience was terrific. The company was great at communicating with me. Had to move our date due to a snowstorm and the company was quick to respond and re-schedule at my convenience. They are truly top notch. Excellent in fact. The team of 3 men organized the move with such ease and were very nice to work with and professional. They worked quickly, did not waste any time. Wrapped all items well and on the move in side were fantastic too. I give NJ Local Moving my highest recommendation. They are a breath of fresh air in the moving business. read more

With only four days left before the move, Dimitri messages me to ask if my rental truck has a lift gate. I've had the truck reserved for weeks, but this late in the game, he needs me to make an adjustment (which wasn't possible btw). On top of that, there's confusion on his part because he didn't actually read the messages I sent him describing the work. Once I explain the work to him, he backs out of the job, leaving me scrambling to find a new mover at the height of the moving season. I'm sure that most of the positive reviews here are warranted, but do yourself a favor and make it very clear what it is you need, and don't make any assumptions - ask questions early, ask what they need. Because I didn't do this, I ended up with a lot of unnecessary anxiety days before my move. read more

Our moving team was nothing short of amazing! They were on time, started working immediately and were very professional and courteous. We did not have an easy move due to very steep outdoor stairs at our new residence, and the movers didn't blink an eye. We had been dreading moving day, but our movers from NJ Local Moving were excellent and worked very hard for us. Highly recommend! read more

Great team. Friendly, hard working and considerate about everything they were moving. They were efficient and focused on getting the job done and not drawing it out just to get another hour out of the move. I would recommend this team for a medium sized 1.5 Bedroom move. read more

One year later and once again, NJ Local Movers prove to be the most hard working, kind, funny and fast guys on the planet!!! 38 stairs up and down to my apartment. Another 2 flights up and down in my new house and not one complaint. You just keep joking and smiling until the end. Thank you so much!!! This move was particularly stressful.
