SAD! The move it self was great until . . . . . I was laying in bed when I noticed a huge gash in a very expensive piece of furniture, which is now worthless. I called several times and was given excuse after excuse after excuse after excuse regarding when my phone call would be returned. It's now been 4 months and still no contact. The piece is ruined and cannot be repaired. I'd actually called the day of the move to compliment them - for a job well done. I had no idea they ruined the piece of furniture and certainly should have immediately informed me when they unwrapped it rather than hide it. There are no words to describe how upset I am. This is not the way you do business - hiding the damage and then the problem. Be a man, return the call and correct the problem. Obviously they forced the piece of furniture into the truck when packing it which caused the substantial damage. To say I am devastated would be an understatement! read more

This was my first love and I was struggling with how to go about finding a mover for a move that was about 1.40 mins away. Luckily I spoke with Kevin and he instantly made me feel like this move would be easy. Duffy movers was reasonably priced and trust me I am one to do some research especially when on a tight budget. The day before the move I was contacted by the receptionist to review the details. The movers arrived right on time, wrapped everything perfectly and moved all the items out in good timing. At arrival of the new location, they unloaded and put the items where we requested. Nothing was damaged and very professional. Movers were very friendly and knew exactly what to do. These people scratched my car while moving neighbor's furniture the other day and now they are saying they didn't do it. Are you serious??? While taking the mattress out it brushed against the car and left marks since my car was dirty you could definitely tell! If you sratch my car apologize and pay for it! read more

I was so impressed with how courteous, polite, professional, strong, and hardworking the movers were. The men were reliable, showed up on time, and were well prepared. I could tell that they were experienced movers based on the way that they expertly figured out a way to get a large fridge out of the kitchen through a narrow doorway of a NY apartment while taking great care of everything and making sure not to leave any marks. My sister + I miss you guys! The team of 5 hard working, smart + upbeat men, made the process of moving my parents from 3100 sq ft into 800 sq ft senior housing, the most positive, fun filled day 2 days! I even have a cute video of Norberto getting my dad's massage chair working with my sister relaxing in it. They worked so hard + we felt it. When my parents arrived in their new home-set up to look as much like their old home as possible- they were mesmerized, thrilled + a bit overwhelmed by how perfect everything was. From the minute Kevin came in-his knowledge of the apt building in Ft Lee a+ 5* in Teaneck was exactly on target. His guidance finding someone to remove the salable stuff + even the very fair price to take away the heavy old couch, 2 chairs and TV was a huge help. Can't thank you enough. read more

Was not entirely impressed with their services. Most of the service people were nice and worked hard. What I didn't like was the following: 1) I noticed items that were never delivered to new place 2) There was a broken piece of furniture 3) One of the personnel was disparaging the company during the move 4) A professional company like this should organize a final walk through to ensure all items were taken and ensuring satisfaction prior to departure 5) They agreed to take items from a room that they forgot about They tried to offer a solution to broken piece of furniture which still wasn't to full satisfaction. We were looking for a mover to move the contents of my daughters home that was in storage in a condo in Lakewood up to Little Falls. We saw one of their trucks in town and asked one of the men for their business cards. We called their office and Jennifer was very helpful in getting us a fast quote that she explained would be a firm price, with no additional changes to be expected. After speaking with the owner, Kevin, we booked the move, which was on a 1 week notice! The men who actually did the move arrived exactly on time as promised and they were very professional and courteous. Every piece of furniture was blanketed and strapped and handled with care. Every carton was loaded onto handtrucks and carefully loaded in the truck as well. When they were finished at the Lakewood location, they made sure they went through the condo once again with me to be sure nothing was missed. When they arrived at the destination, everything was put in the different rooms as we requested. All the inside banisters and outside railings were covered and protected against any damage. They re-assembled any furniture that needed to be re-assembled before they left. We couldn't have asked for a better moving experience. We would highly recommend this company for any moving needs. read more

Our experience with Duffy Movers was amazing! Communication: Jennifer, the office rep., was always very pleasant and helpful. She communicated by phone and of course by email. Kevin Duffy: he gave us a fair quote with a set price for packing and moving. Packing Day: this was the day before our move. Six men showed up at our house at 8:30AM and packed our entire house, 3 floors, by 11:30, taking only one 15 min. break. Then they proceeded to pack the truck until 2:30 at which time it was full. The house was 80% empty by then. Moving Day: Seven men arrived at 8:10 with a second truck and were finished by 10:30! Then we travelled to the new place and unpacked us completely by 3:00 and that was with a lunch break. The men were consummate professionals: extremely careful of our property, courteous, very good natured, and generally good guys! They never complained when we kept asking them to rearrange our living room furniture. Overall, this was a very stress free experience. I very highly recommend this moving company! We have used Duffy Movers several times. The first time was to bring several items from my mothers house in Florida to mine in New Jersey. I needed not to have worried about her antique desk or her china. Everything arrived in perfect condition! When my daughter was moving from our home to her first apartment, again we contacted them. Since then she has moved twice and called them each time. Recently she moved to Jersey City, which turned out to be a difficult move. The building elevators were being used by someone else, even though they had been reserved, but the men knew exactly how to handle the situation and the move continued. Now it is time for us to move and we have again contacted Duffy Movers. The owner Kevin as always responded to our call promptly and showed up when he said he would, unusual in this day and age. FURIOUS AND UPSET!! I wish I could give less than 1 star. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!! The moving company lost some of my belongings after being placed in his storage facility in Flatwoods, KY and then delivering to my new place. They lost a $200 guitar, a comforter, pillows, and two fish tanks (this is just what I've noticed is missing so far, who knows what else got stolen). Once realizing they couldn't find it, Duffy Dyer IGNORED all my phone calls and text messages. He couldn't just tell me that it was lost or stolen. Completely unprofessional and they broke my trust!!! My furniture that was delivered was completely scratched and not handled with care. Two photo frames and their glass were completely broken. The movers were also 4 hours late the day they did deliver some of my things, but I didn't complain. I didn't even complain about my scratched furniture and paid what I owed without arguing. I had been nothing but kind and he treated me like crap by ignoring and blocking me once realizing my missing items couldn't be found!!!! He doesn't provide documentation of how he calculates the cost of moving and doesn't email you receipts. I've learned my lesson to not trust so easily.
