I want to like this place so badly, I really do, but I can't. Can't even begin to try to like this place. The one in Portland doesn't play loud music, however, this one plays extremely annoyingly loud music. You'd like people to hear themselves think, but apparently not here. The music was just so loud I couldn't even have a conversation with the person next to me. But anyways, I want to love the burgers so badly because I love burgers. But I can't. This was soggy, and weird, and just icky. I don't know what it is, but I just can't love it. I can't even like it. It's just this weird taste and I don't know, I can't even finish a fourth of it. I don't want to eat this burger, ever again. HOWEVER, I love the french fries. The only reason this place got two stars: the fries and the customer service. Just that. The fries are great, they taste, they even look great. And that's it. Just the fries and the customer service is good. The burgers, suck. Might come back to get some french fries togo so I can hear myself think. But never for a burger. read more

My friends wanted to come here; I am a vegetarian and they said that's fine, they will substitute any burger with a veggie patty. So I went here with high hopes. I ordered a Jose Mendoza with veg patty, no bacon, and (apparently they grill their onions in bacon fat, so)raw onions. I was starving so I scarfed a lot of it down but it was so greasy. I put the burger down and opened it.... I noticed little pieces of meat, like philly cheese steak meat stuck to my food. I wanted to scream or barf or whatever but I didn't. I walked up to the register and they were slammed and there was no way I was going to stand in line over this, I threw everything away and left... I noticed that all of the cooks were college age girls (3 of them) and they were all standing in a row with about 20 buns on the counter all with different things on them... I could never be able to remember what each of those were... at least not 100% of the time, also it looked like all the items are thrown on a flat top so not vegetarian friendly at all because they obviously are not cleaning the grill constantly. So all in all- if you love a suuuuper greasy $11.00 burger loaded with fatty bacon and bacon grease covered onions and you dont have any allergies and you are not worried like the typical American then you will love this place. I would not reccomend this place for vegetarians or vegans or anyone with allergies to things like wheat or dairy or onions) because cross contamination doesn't seem to be a worry at Killer Burger. two thumbs wayyy down. dragging I'd say. read more

Killer Burger - found in my supposed vegetarian burger. - Burgers Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the music; you don't normally hear Alice in chains and Nine Inch Nails while dining. It might be a little noisy for some but it was fun for me. I tried the Killer Burger and actually thought it was disgusting. It was basically a condiment burger, by the second bite my bun was soaking. I also just didn't like their signature sauce. However, because I did enjoy the place so much I will be back. I will just be trying a different burger without their sauce and light everything else. read more

Super busy so that's always a good sign. Staff was friendly, another plus! Unique menu and all their burgers come with bacon and fries...whaaa?! Awesome! I decided to go with the Teemah (melted bleu, house sauce, grilled onions, and pickle)...definitely a good patty but this combo was a little on the salty side for my taste buds. This won't be my last visit. Few friends said to try their PBPB (peanut butter pickle bacon) burger next time. read more

This brilliant restaurant should offer some low carb options for their burgers. If you can't eat unlimited fucking French fries, why not have a gawdamn salad for christ'sakes??? read more

I get that killer burger is a brand. The killer burgers in Portland are the same was as the one here in Eugene, but I think corporate needs to rethink the brand because the aggressively loud music and name calling is alienating and irritating. I'm 24 and I don't enjoy that, imagine how a family with kids would feel. The food is fine but not the kind of thing I want to wait 30+ minutes for on the regular. Maybe this isn't a fair comparison but if Bier Stein, with their massive menu, can serve me in under 20 minutes and get it to me in their massive place without screaming my name I think an average sized burger restaurant should be able to do the same. I ~like~ the burgers, they're huge and tasty. Not crazy about the bacon though. The "girlie size" for downsizing the burgers is a nice option, although calling it "girlie size" is dumb. I feel like an idiot when I ask for it. The fries are average. Crazy Hour sounds like a good deal. Basically after giving KB Eugene four tries I'm not interested in returning. read more

My family and I decided to try Killer Burger after hearing nothing but good things. The atmosphere was great and the people working were more than nice. Upon suggestion from several foodie friends, I ordered the Peanut Butter Bacon Burger. I couldn't have been more disappointed. The buyer was way overcooked. Cooked beyond recognition. My husband ordered a standard burger, and was in the same boat. Way over cooked, tasting more of char than anything else. The fries were delicious, but that was the only high point. read more

Came here for lunch with some friends. I found parking in the area to be slightly difficult and had to circle a few times before finding a meter. Upon entering, we were greeted by a really nice guy behind the register and he helped us with all of our menu questions. My favorite part is that ever burger comes with bacon and lots of it too! I ended up ordering the Jose Mendoza with added crispy jalapeños. The burger had roasted green chilies, Monterey jack cheese, grilled onions, house sauce, and of course the crispy jalapeños I added and bacon. This may possibly be one of the best burgers I have ever had. The flavors packed a punch and there were so many textures that I couldn't believe how happy I was while I was eating my burger. The chilies were nicely roasted, the bacon was super crunchy and loaded on there, and the crispy jalapeños were crisped perfectly. I don't know where they get their buns from but they're great and I liked it so much more than any other white bun I have had. Each burger comes with fries and those were cooked nicely soft and fluffy on the inside while crispy on the outside. read more

Fries tasted like something I buy frozen from Winco. Ketchup was probably Heinz brand bought from Costco earlier that day. I had the farm burger: 1. Cheese = tasted like processed Kraft singles. 2. Ingredients (Ham and egg) on burger. Super salty. Drank a gallon of water when I got home to overcome dehydration. Service: Great service!! The guys there are hip and give the place a mans, man feel. Kudos to them!! Atmosphere: music is blaring. Sports are on the TV's so that's cool, but if you want a place to sit down and chat comfortably this isn't it. Too much noise. Conclusion: the menu is fun, but execution of the food falls short. They need to refocus their efforts on quality ingredients. read more

The classic burger was greasy, the bun was soggy. It was seasoned with season salt and that was the extent of flavor. The fries were good.

Quite simply great burgers and fries with a good selection of beers. Friendly staff and a relaxed setting, too. I also appreciate the availability of the smaller size burgers. It's nice to be able to get a smaller size, but still have all the fixings that make it a unique burger. read more

Excellent food for the money. Plus it has a cool vibe, great music, fast service, friendly staff, decent bar and very reasonably priced. To give you an idea, my kids (3 and 7) like going here and they used to be the gag-in-bag kind of kids. Both of my kids prefer this place over the golden arches, because the food is better. The only downside, parking sucks, as you have to deal with every other person wanting to go downtown, but if you don't mind a brief walk downtown, this is a real gem. read more

Had my regular burger Saturday evening. Food was great, as usual, but the general cleanliness of the dining area was lacking. Tables dirty and floors were sticky. Disappointed. Next visit I will check for cleanliness before ordering and go elsewhere if not up to standards. read more

Can't believe I haven't written a review! Huge fan since opening week. My favorite burger in eugene is killer burgers "killer burger" I have tried nearly every burger on the menu and the simple killer burger still is my favorite. Perfect ratios of vegetables, meat, sauce and bun. Pb pickle burger is interesting, I'm a huge peanut butter fan but it was just "ok" to me. It wasn't bad and I love the combination style, but not the best on the menu. Fries are very generic but for some reason I love them, dipped in ranch of course. Grungy/loud music here and a full bar on the side makes for a little shouting at times but I love the industrial vibe I get here from the location and employees. Parking can suck at times and may have to walk a few blocks at peak hours but definitely worth the trek stiff arming transients along the way. read more

Mediocre food. For a place that specializes in burgers and fries I expected better. Nothing about what they made that was special. The atmosphere is fun although too loud, the staff were both good and bad- there were nice and helpful people, but also people who just didn't seem to want to be there. read more

We had been wanting to try Killer Burger's so we did on a Saturday. They have so many kinds of burgers that you can order. First I see where everyone makes comments about the music being too loud. I LOVED the loud music and I am over 60, so I am not sure what the other people's problems are. The service was fast and great and they were busy because is was about 12:30 pm. I found the food to be extremely good. We did split a burger because we just can't eat one each. So it worked perfect for us. We will return again. We are going to try a new place every week to try. So I recommend give this a try. Food is great, loved the loud music and the location is easy! read more

I like the burger in bulk deals they have, burger tastes exactly like a burger I wouldn't pay $3 for. The fries were very soggy and tasteless. read more

My boyfriend and I were craving a good burger and were only in town for one night so wanted to try something with high reviews. It had a 4.7 star review so we decided to try it out. I got the "Fun Guy" burger and was anticipating a very flavourful burger. I was disappointed to say that the burger patty itself lacked flavour and the additions of the topping didn't help it either. We both were disappointed by our meals. We both left feeling full but not satisfied at all. Wish we had tried something else. read more

We were hankerin' for a burger and hadn't tried this place since they opened a EUG location, so we wandered in. The short version: Overpriced, not that great. Go to Little Big Burger if you're in the mood. The long version: I ordered the pulled pork and the gent got the fun guy. All of the burgers come with bacon and fries; as I'd already ordered a heart attack on a bun, I asked to sub coleslaw for the fries, figuring there'd be a dollar upcharge or similar. We each ordered a pint. The beer selection was good, plus there was a full bar. The total was $35 (!), for two burgers and two beers. For Eugene, that is nuts. The mushroom burger was good, the fries and the pulled pork were pretty average/flavorless. We barely touched the coleslaw, it was basically green cabbage pickled in vinegar with a little pepper. Instead of subbing the coleslaw for fries, our receipt showed that they had charged me the full price of a side of coleslaw ($3 for a small, barely edible pile of cabbage) while also charging me the full price (~$12) for the burger with fries. Understandable if you don't do substitutions, but you need to clearly tell people that. The ambiance was interesting - as relayed in other reviews, very dark, pretty loud, fairly bar-like in atmosphere. There was a good beer selection and it was pretty quiet on a wednesday night. read more

Arguably the best burger in Downtown Eugene, I enjoy the simplicity of the menu versus all the bells and whistles that I can see on burger menus. I tried their Purist burger with a side of fries and will defiantly be back again. read more

I went to KB for the first time last week, and I was shocked that they offer authentic, HOT green chile on their burgers. Not since I moved from New Mexico have I had a good Green Chile Cheeseburger. This pleases me to no end! I ordered the "build your own" burger with bacon, cheddar and green chile. It came with fries and was only 8.45. It was delicious. The music didn't seem that loud to me, maybe it was just the particular night I went in? The servers are very helpful, but the girl who took my order was a little spacey/unorganized/maybe just tired? LOL not a big deal... Solid 4 stars in my book. read more

I love this place! The Jose Mendoza is my favorite burger in town, by far. Great prices, bottomless fry baskets, fun atmosphere, a decent bar, and an awesome staff have cemented this restaurant as a regular spot for me and my friends. If I had to come up with any cons for the place I suppose I'd say that the atmosphere might be a little too chaotic for some. The, "we're all a big, happy, partying family" vibe might not be for everyone, but I think it's great and an essential piece of the Killer Burger experience. Personally, I've never had to wait more than thirty minutes from entering the bulding to order and get my food. That being said, plan accordingly when going here as it can get really busy. It's not rare to see the line for the place rolling out onto the sidewalk. But that's because it's worth it, y'all! read more

Great burgers. No question about that, but is ANY burger worth a 45 minute wait? I think not. Last visit I was told they were very busy as an explanation to a 40 minute wait for in-house order. Tonight I hoped to avoid the same situation and called ahead. Told the order would be ready in 20-25 minutes. Upon arrival (20 minutes later) was told it would be 10-15 minutes. The place was about 2/3 full; not seemingly exceptionally busy. Most tables already had their orders. These burgers are really excellent, but a full service restaurant had faster service for a multi course meal. This would rate an easy four stars for quality, but giving it two stars seems generous with this dismal service. read more

Howdy, im from the country. Ive seen alot of things in my life, cow poop, dead people, mice, stinky stinky fields. But ive never EVER seen a fly near my food. Here though, that changed my life. it hasnt been the same. Hearing the buzzing, the flapping of its wings against my burgers buns. Seeing the horror of the beast feeding upon my scrumptious meat. I squealed in shock, I was appalled to this sight. Terrified for my life, MY KIDS, my sweet sweet kids. She was traumatized. Terrible customer service. We spent $40 on two burger, sat down to eat and the staff started vacuuming loudly. We asked if they could stop, since they were still open and the shop vac was super loud, and they gave us attitude and said we should just put up with it. Incredible. When I was a waiter, you would be fired on the spot for that type of response to a customer. We are locals, have been here a few times, but won't be back. Many other places where the staff treat you like a paying customer instead of an annoyance. read more

Burgers were pretty decent. Every burger comes with bacon... which is whatever. Service was great. Good place to experience.

The good: The fries. Yum! The fact that they offer a "girly sized" option for burgers, so I don't feel like my insides are going to burst as I leave A decent selection of beers on tap The menu--enough choices, but simple enough to not be overwhelming The burgers themselves were tasty! The location--a really fun block of Eugene! The not as good: Burgers were a bit on the messy side The thing that could likely keep me from coming back: THE NOISE! Killer Burger people, if you are reading this, PLEASE ask yourselves why you have the music so loud. It made it hard to have a conversation with my husband, right across from me at our small table. It does not need to be THAT loud to create the bluesy ambiance you are going for. Dial it back a couple of notches or serve some tylenol with your food--I left with a headache! read more

The burgers are very favorable they have good flavor. The name of the burger may be tied to the amount of grease you can squeeze out of the burger. The fries were good as well. The staff is very helpful, the gal came around a couple times asking if we needed anything. If you love obnoxiously loud music while you eat, have no fear your ears will ring well after you've left. Lean very close to whoever your talking to so they may have a chance to hear you. read more

I'm originally from Portland, OR, so I've been to the Portland location before. I'm a total snob about good food (I'm from PDX how can you blame me), and the one on Burnside is always super crowded and delicious. Needless to say when I heard there was a Killer Burger in the Eug, I freaked. I called Killer Burger for a pick up after a terrible day at school. When I called, I told the woman that I was having a shitty day, and wanted to know the best burger to cheer me up. I ended up deciding on the Fun Guy, and waiting 15 minutes to pick up. When I got in the restaurant, the women asked if I was called in for the Fun Guy. I told her yes, and she led me to the register, handed me a bag and said "It's on the house. We just want you to gave a great rest of your day." THERE ARE STILL GOOD PEOPLE IN THE WORLD! Not only did my day get significantly better from a free meal, but my burger was also AMAZING. It was so so juicy and flavorful, and so big. The fries were crispy and cut perfectly. I love Killer Burger not only for their amazing and delicious burgers & fries, but their inspirational and kind hearted service. Thanks so much Killer Burger for making my day! You know I'll be back soon. read more

Checked this joint out a couple of times with some of the Trailer Park Boys - J-Roc: "Ya know whtimsayin. Yeah, uh huh. Yeah. Knwwhtimsayin. Yeah. Ssshhhwing." Bubbles: "The burgers yeah they're good but they don't have any kitties so I mean I don't know how I could give them 5 stars with no kitties, for fks sake they don't have any kitties." Ricky: "It's you know a Catch 23 situation. The burgers are hot and have cheese and they're good and stuff but the managers are a bit in denial and error about how loud the music is. It doesn't take rocket appliances to figure out that when multiple customers ask you to turn down the music in a 5 minute time plan maybe turn down the music a little." Julian: "Catch 22, Ricky. It's a catch 22." Randy: "The only place in town I'll put a shirt on for." Mr. Lahey: "I'd say they rival my blue jay burger." Me: "The burgers are really good, fries are pretty good, and good beer selection. The music selection is great but the volume = way too high most of the time. I also love how they have paper towels as their napkins in all the tables. I just think that's the best way to have napkins cause it's easy, good at cleaning up and efficient.
