We picked this place on a whim because it was attached to our hotel, and after a long day, we were too tired to venture elsewhere. What a wonderful surprise this turned out to be! The restaurant itself has a modern, chic décor with a lively but moderate noise level. It strikes a great balance between energetic and intimate, making it an excellent spot for a romantic date night if that's what you're looking for. Our server, Sam, absolutely made the experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, answered all of our questions with confidence, and did an amazing job matching our preferences with the perfect food and drink recommendations. Her service was exceptional from beginning to end. We started with the pita and hummus, and you could immediately tell everything was made from scratch. The pita was warm and fresh, the hummus was incredibly smooth and flavorful, and you could truly see and taste the quality. For dinner, we had the burger with the house chips. Both were excellent, and I especially loved the herb mayonnaise that came with the chips. I didn't even realize it was mayonnaise at first because it was so fresh and flavorful! We also shared the Caesar salad, which was delicious. The next morning, we came back for breakfast and ordered the Jerusalem bagel with egg and cheese. It was absolutely decadent and the perfect way to start the day. Between the outstanding food, beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional service, this restaurant exceeded every expectation. A huge shoutout to Sam for making our visit so memorable. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in the area to explore more of the menu and, hopefully, have Sam as our server again!
Came with a friend to brunch on a sunny Spring day, and the vibes were alive! The pastel colors and Mediterranean flare made the spot feel breezy and easygoing. The brunch menu has a lot of delicious looking options, so my friend and I shared several dishes. We had the mushroom hummus, pistachio sticky bun, kale salad, and Israeli breakfast all to share. It was a wonderful spread and everything was fresh and flavorful - absolutely delectable. Even the sides and breads that came with the Israeli breakfast were wonderfully prepared. Service was quick and the staff were all friendly and attentive. I cannot wait to come back for again brunch and to try their dinner menu!
Stopped by K'far for drinks and the vibe was really cozy and effortlessly cool. The My Boy Blue (rye, plum, blueberry, lemon, honey, egg white) was very tasty! Deep purple, silky foam on top and tasted just as good as it looked. Smooth, fruity and perfectly balanced. Had it alongside a glass of Cava which was the perfect pairing. Solid drinks, good energy.
Such a beautiful restaurant and so perfect for lunch when the sun naturally lights the restaurant through its sunroofs. Surprisingly I felt that the Philly location was better (lowkey though I'm judging solely from the difference in the Jerusalem bagels, which amazed me at the philly one but was very meh in NY location). The mushroom hummus was really yummy (mayhaps a lil salty) -- most definitly get it with the cucumbers because I liked that combo significantly more than with the pita. chicken shnitzel was just ok, tasted fine but wouldn't recommend when there were better dishes and we wish we had tried the shakshuka instead bc i love shakshuka. Service was just average, nothing notable.
Went to K'Far Cafe before an improv show for tea and babka. Both were excellent -- the babka wasn't too sweet, just perfectly balanced. We had our eye on the pistachio sticky bun, but they were sold out. While sipping tea at the bar, I noticed they also have kunafe on the menu, which I didn't have time to try -- guess that just means another visit. About $24 total, which felt a bit pricey, but the quality was there. Great quick treat spot. We saw a lot of people working on their laptops.
Honestly had a very underwhelming experience at this restaurant. The highlight of the meal was the appetizers- the lamb tartar was really good but it was extremely greasy and did not have enough to cut on the oil and grease. I was not a fan of the baba ganoush and the smoked hamachi crudo. The hamachi was extremely fishy and did not taste fresh at all. The lamb could have had more flavor, and the brick chicken was dry. the ambiance was really nice though with the dim lighting! The apple olive oil cake was pretty dense as well. It was too dense and not light enough- what we thought an olive oil cake should taste like. The service was great though. Overall it was decent, was not too impressed for the price. Would not come again.
A truly great experience here, would highly recommend for folks looking for a great mediterranean/Israeli meal, because K'far delivers on everything. You must have a reservation first and foremost, so make one, because this place gets packed and stays packed. The ambiance is very dark and intimate, crowd is lively, food is fresh and flavorful, and I have ratings on what we loved and what we thought was just okay. Zuchinni App- Just Okay, the Labne was delicious though. Mushroom Hummus- Also pretty good, matched with the FRESH PITA, which is outrageously good, it's nice. The Meat Platter for 2- Incredible, wide variety to choose from, the Chicken is amazing, the steak is juicy and fresh, highly recommend to get this for the table. With drinks, food, apps and all in it was about $250, so decently priced as well. Very accommodating staff, friendly, easy to talk to. 5 stars. Loved it.
Visited the K'Far Philly location last year and was so excited to come back to the Williamsburg spot (located on the ground floor of the Huxton hotel). Came on Sunday morning around 10AM for brunch and it was suprisingly not too busy so we were seated quickly. The ambiance is airy and open with lots of natural light. - Jerusalem Bagel Egg and Cheese (5/5) - Similar, if not the same as the Simit sandwich from K'Far Philly? The bagel is long and thin, and the egg and cheese are perfect with the spicy green sauce. - Kubaneh Toast with Avocado (4/5) - the labneh is tart and balanced well by the creamy avocado - Pistachio Sticky Bun (5/5) - Soft, sweet and so delicous. Just as a good as I remember from Philly. - Yemenite Iced Coffee (5/5) - Delicously spiced Big fan of K'far and will definitely be returning.
Absolutely gorgeous interior, probably worth it just for the light and plant-filled dining room/patio, especially in the summer. The meal was yummy--crispy mushroom hummus, fluffy pita, fresh Arabic salad, a dynamic sabich platter with beautifully light almost tempura fried eggplant. The Yemeni latte was perfectly spiced and only a little sweet, highly recommend pairing it with your meal. I also tried some of the shakshuka, which was tasty, standard fare. The staff were very personable and helpful. I was looking for just a little more flavor out of each dish--a little note of citrus in the salad, some spice in the sabich sauce to complement the pickled veggies, but was still very happy with the meal. Great spot for a special occasion brunch.
This restaurant is situated in the lobby of The Hoxton Hotel in an open area. There's a bar on one side and a cafe in another while also serving a restaurant menu. Most people here are working on their laptops as did I. It was pretty packed and started clearing up around 5pm when the work day is done for most. I ordered a Matcha Latte ($6.50) at the cafe counter and it was ready in minutes. The matcha is nice without sweetener, but you can add. I was able to snag a table on the side, which was the perfect spot to work. Some of the tables near the wall and shelves have outlets if you need. They also have free wifi that was super fast. Last but not least, the ambiance, decor, and vibes is so airy, modern, and natural that just puts you in a good mood. It's such a great working environment; no wonder everyone comes here to work. I honestly wish I was closer to here!
K'far is good but I would say it's my least favorite of the Mike solomonov restaurants. My favorite was the brick chicken which was just the perfect chicken. The lamb tartare is a skip imo. Pita and hummus is a classic and always good, theirs is great. Also the halloumi blueberry I thought wouldn't be my fav but it was actually fantastic. The space is beautiful (right by the ferry if that's your mode of transport)!!!
K'Far BK is such a vibe! Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn Highly recommend My partner and I originally planned to hit the rooftop at The Hoxton in Williamsburg, but with a 2hour wait, we pivoted and honestly, we're glad we did. K'Far BK love love love. We grabbed drinks at the bar and were lucky to be served by two super friendly and cool bartenders. The ambiance was beautiful, great lighting, relaxed but stylish atmosphere, and just a really inviting space to hang out. The drinks was so good. I had an espresso martini especially since they have a coffee bar, so I knew it'd be top tier), and it did not disappoint. I also went for a G&T with Hendrick's, which was refreshing and hit the spot. My partner went all in with an extra dirty gin martini made with Bombay Sapphire. Forgot to mention the Persian Margarita so good! Our friend ordered the Chin Chin Spirit, and I managed to sneak a sip, it was amazing. Definitely something I'd try for myself next time. We didn't get to order food this time around, but the menu looked like they had some great options. Already planning a return visit, and fingers crossed we'll make it up to that rooftop next time.
Wow wow wow-- amazing coffee and pastries! I loved the Yemeni latte; it was warmly spiced and so flavorful. I tried two burekas during my time there-- the feta scallion which is supposedly their best seller-- absolutely delicious. The last morning I was there I tried the potato one-- WOW. It was so nicely spiced, simple but flavorful. I'd absolutely get it again. The service is nice and the people are kind. It's situated in the hotel lobby so lots of seating and people coming to and fro. Love it!
When I stay in the Hoxton Hotel, K'ar is my go to breakfast spot. This review is solely on the breakfast. Everything I've had so far has been delicious, the yogurt and their many toasts, with the avocado toast being my favorite. The restaurant is nice, quiet, and warm. There is a lot of seating but it can get crowded with guests checking in and out of the hotel. I love their coffee bar that they recently opened, even though I don't drink coffee, it has a lot of other drink offerings and it is conveniently located. The staff is super friendly and I feel like I'm never waiting too long for the food to come out. Love sitting at the bar! read more
I wasn't impressed by the food, but maybe I just ordered the wrong dish. I got cod and my partner got hanger steak, but we started off with the Arabic salad and the mushroom hummus which were both delicious. The salad was a bit on the sour side, could do with less lemon zest. The hanger steak wasn't bad but wasn't amazing. The cod was bleh, not recommend. The fish itself was bland, but the tomato sauce/paste it was basking in was too salty. It was basically plain fish dumped into a bowl of tomato sauce. Not much to it, wouldn't order this again. Service was good, waitress came by few times to refill our water and check in on us. The restaurant was well situated in a hotel, our seats were indoor/ outdoor situation read more

Love this place so much! Everything from the ambiance, decor, service, and food is great. I've been to both the cafe and the accompanying restaurant and have had stellar experiences at both. For the cafe: Great place to do work or catch up with a friend and chill. Their famous pastries are available, as well as a variety of espresso and coffee drinks. There's a bar as well. Seating can be hard to find at peak times, but if you wait a bit a spot will definitely open up. For the restaurant: Gorgeous place! We couldn't stop talking about how well decorated it was (especially on the patio, which I recommend). Food was fantastic and service was prompt. I need to come back and try everything on the menu but recommendations will always be to try the hummuses, pastries, and the arayes. Can't wait to come back again! read more
We were able to walk in early on a Friday night and seated in a beautiful plant filled atrium. The food was so flavorful and well-executed! We ordered the tuna crudo (lots of citrus and salt!) and Persian lamb shank to share, which was fun as it comes with with lots of different sides like a babaganoush with pomegranate, sour cherry rice, fave beans, an herb basket and garlic sauce that you can stuff in a warm pita - it's a lot of food for 2 people. The lamb was tender with a yummy pistachio crust and sauce. The service was attentive. read more
I am in love with the Jerusalem Bagel Sandwich that they have here. My fiancé and I ordered the egg and cheese Jerusalem Bagel sandwich to share and OMG I should have just ordered my own. It was so delicious the bagel was thin and crispy and the cheese was melted to perfection. The service was also fantastic! We were running behind and almost miss our reservation. When we arrived, they hosts were so pleasant and sat us right away. Our server was friendly and attentive. When you walk into the restaurant it feels like you've been transported to zen garden. Love all of the plants in the space. It's definitely a vibe. read more
First of all, this restaurant is probably the most aesthetically pleasing, gorgeously setup restaurant in Brooklyn, maybe even NYC. When I say this is the best outdoor (but still kind of indoor) dining experience I've ever had, I am not lying! Literally just so beautiful. The food here was stellar. My personal favorites were the Crispy Mushroom Hummus and Pecan Cake. I will say the hummus here was by far the best I have ever had. The Tuna Crudo was definitely an interesting flavor, sort of tomato based -- really good, but not my favorite. The Cod was very good. It was brought out on a skillet so it stayed warm for a while -- nice touch. I will say the portion sizes were definitely generous for the price. The staff here was really nice too. They kept coming over to check on us, fill our water regularly, and clean our table. Overall, this was a great experience and I would love to come back and try some of the other dishes. I would highly recommend this restaurant as a great date spot or for grabbing dinner with friends. Definitely a 10/10! read more
I only have positive things to say. Our brunch here was lovely. Food was delicious - the hummus with mushrooms, shakshuka, arayes. We also tried their pastries. Both chocolate coconut babka and pistachio sticky bun were very tasty. Service was quick and we never felt rushed. Looking forward to trying this beautiful place for dinner in the future. read more
This place is worth the hype! You can see they've put a lot of thoughts into place making at the sight of entry. We were sat at the sunroom that's semi-enclosed, giving a cool yet sunny vibe. The food is the best Mediterranean I've had! Get the hummus y'all! We had beef hummus, and now I can't forget about it. Pita pockets are soft and warm. K'Far's hummus and pitta have officially topped Nerai for me. And better yet, everything we ordered from the menu didn't miss! I ordered Eggs & Merguez (aka breakfast plate) with eggs, toast, avocado, and lamb sausage. I split a pita pocket that came with hummus and stuffed a little of everything in. Oh boy, isn't it the most delicious bite I've had! Other items we got on the table include smoked salmon bagel, Shakshukas (lots of Shakshukas), and Arayes. Portions are bigger than what pictures on Yelp may make you think. Everyone was so full and satisfied at the end of the meal. The only items I don't recommend here are the drinks. We ordered a few and I don't think anything were that special compared to the food here. Our server was very friendly and lively. Knowledgable about the menu as well! Bill came out to be $45/person including tax & tips (we had a group of 7), which is surprisingly affordable. We will be back read more

The food is great. One minor issue: they serve mimosa and call it passionfruit Bellini, when I asked our waitress if it was mimosa because it looked and tasted like orange juice she simply said no and walked away. The service was a bit slow but food arrived quickly. Even tho it was brunch time on Saturday, the place did not look overcrowded or overwhelmed. Overall will be back for dinner read more

Stopped here with friends for brunch and had a great time overall. The atmosphere and and ambience was beautiful and open. For drinks we tried the apple and honey , wine and their version of the Arnold Palmer with passion fruit. All drinks were good and our bar tender was absolutely amazing. I believe his name is Nico. He is the best friendly, attentive and helpful. For food we tried the smoked salmon & egg Jerusalem bagel sandwhich. I personally ordered the Tunisian Salad which was ok. I've never had anything like it before was a burst of various flavors we also had a Pistachio sticky bun which was delicous! read more
K'Far is absolutely stunning- gorgeous aesthetic that is homey yet chic. The menu is absolutely delicious; it was hard not to order everything! Highlights include: the pistachio sticky bun (do not sleep on this ppl) and the egg and cheese Jerusalem bagel sandwich. If you're in the mood for a salad, get the kale. Everything is seasoned to perfection and is rich in flavor as a result. I want to clarify that unfortunately, I am giving 4 stars because the service was extremely strange. There really is no other way to describe it... something was definitely up with our server, things came out in a bizarre order, and they almost forgot my coffee. read more

Obsessed with this place! Such a cute ambiance. Pink tiles, gold light fixtures, plants, a cute outdoor section that would be amazing in the warm weather. Tried a million things on the menu: Kale with Quinoa, Beets, Goat Cheese and Pistachio, Jerusalem Bagel Egg and Cheese, Cinnamon Walnut Babka, Almond Challah Danish, Pistachio Sticky Bun. EVERYTHING was divine. The perfect mix of sweet and salty and savory and fresh. Salad was extremely fresh and a good balance to the doughy pastries that were delectable. Pistachio Sticky Bun 10/10. Solid service, a bit slow, but was a nice relaxed Sunday brunch moment. read more

The vibes are giving summer brunch with the besties. Loved basking in the sun while sitting in their greenhouse-y section :) I rly enjoyed everything we got and would love to go back. However, my friend strongly disliked the shakshuka so I'd recommend staying away. A bit pricey but overall worth it given the vibes and good food! +pita french toast: divine. Amazing. Must get. +mushroom hummus: just LOVELY. Highly recommend +brown butter artichoke boreka: a perfect little savory pie. We loved this so much +kale salad: honestly really good because of how chopped up everything was. Goat cheese really rounds it out +almond danish: LOOKED dry but was anything but. Pls pls pls get read more

Great spot, the place is pretty spacious. Definitely order one of the hummus to start, we did the crispy mushroom and it was spot on. For dinner we did the lamb shank (for the two of us) and it was absolutely delicious. It's packed with flavor and comes with herbs, roasted onion and garlic to even add more depth to the flavor. Very pleased with this spot. read more

Wasn't fully impressed. Came here for dinner with 2 friends. One of them only had one drink and a dessert and we still managed to drop $350 on the bill. I think this place is quite overpriced. We ordered the challah rolls to start and they were basically 4 small pieces of bread which should come complimentary with the meal but instead costs $12 which is kind of ridiculous. We ordered the tuna crudo which was good. We ordered the baklava which was just halloumi, the name "baklava" made no sense. For entrees we got the zaatar chicken which was good and the skirt steak which was not. The steak came cold in temperature and not well seasoned at all. This dinner wasn't worth the price point, wouldn't recommend and don't think we will be visiting again. read more
K'Far was a great experience. Come for the food stay for the vibes. There is outdoor seating that is open in the warmer months but also kinda open to the public. It was a Sunday which was rather busy so service was a little slow at first but once we got it going it was great. Very pretty location with many tables and a cafe at the other side. The Jerusalem bagels were definitely the star of the meal read more

We came in for Valentine's Day and our experience was amazing! The space is absolutely beautiful, and the service is great. We moved from Philly and have been to the original K'Far many times, but sadly they stopped serving the dinner menu during the pandemic. Fennel Caesar - It was really flavorful and served warm over dressing, so not a classic caesar! Baklava - It was a nice twist on baklava with great salty-and-sweet flavor combination Bone In Shortrib - This was showstopper of the meal was hands down. It was unbelievable. It was so tender that we were able to pull out the bone and shred it with a fork, and the sauce was similar to that of a classic Jewish brisket, in the best way. With braised cabbage (came with the Short Rib) and potatoes (added), this was the perfect amount for two people, plus leftovers. The cocktails are a bit overpriced ($18) but that's to be expected for a restaurant of this level in this area, so you can stick to wine. read more
Once I saw pictures of the decor and the Jerusalem egg sandwich in Brooklyn Magazine, I was at the steps of The Hoxton hours later ready to get my brunch on at K'Far. Half of the dining experience is the food but also the ambiance. Like most Brooklyn millennials, I'm a sucker for some boho designs and some expertly placed houseplants. Look, I can pretend like seeing pictures of this restaurant's decor didn't immediately send a twinkle to my eye but what's the point. This place is visually stunning. It invites you in and you just simply want to be there. Now, couple that with the food. While here, I tried their cold brew and the Jerusalem sandwich -- the former was over-priced and pretty meh, but the latter was utterly delicious. The bagel was super fresh, with a crunchy exterior yet super soft interior. The eggs were fluffy. And there was enough cheese to meld it all together. Although the coffee wasn't worth the price, that egg sandwich is very much worth the $13. We had plans to continue ordering. However, the service here is lacking. It took us about 20 minutes just to order a coffee. After being there for an hour and still not having finding someone that could put in our additional drink and food orders, we called it quits and left. Since this spot just opened, I'm assuming the lack of coordination is due to that, so I very much intend to visit again after they've had some time to get their rhythm -- just go in knowing it may not be so seamless right now. As another option, they have a small coffee shop right in the lobby that has their infamous sticky bun AND egg sandwich on the menu for pickup, which may be the easier way to go right now. read more

Try K'far ASAP! I came for brunch and loved everything I tried - everything was perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, fresh, etc. Especially loved the party melt, which came piping hot with piping hot delicious fries. Good hummus and deliciously fresh pitas, great cocktails, large flavorful salads. The restaurant also has a cool ambiance. I would definitely return! read more
I've stayed with the hotel several times and this review is only for the K'Far Bar as I haven't got a chance to try their food. The drinks I tried were all great and my favorite cocktail from this place is the Passion Cuckoo!! The bar area is cozy, clean and beautiful. Its never too crowded so you can still have conversations. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Williamsburg area. read more

Stopped in with no resy after my workout and plopped myself down at the bar (no waiting). This place is hip and hoppin with all types of peeps chatting, chirping, and typing away. Well designed space and welcoming staff. I ordered the Shakshuka with Merguez Sausage and Persian Margarita. It was a ginormous meal and loved every minute (altho the marg had a little too much ice). Kinda pricey but felt worth it. Also got the pistachio sticky bun to go. Happy to ingest this very nice snack / dessert a couple hours later. Can't wait to go back! read more

My friend and I really wanted to try Laser Wolf but we weren't able to get reservations so we decided to try their sister restaurant K'Far downstairs. I liked the ambience with lots of greenery. Our server was very friendly and gave us recommendations and explained the menu quite thoroughly. We ended up ordering the masabacha hummus which comes with pita, and per our servers recommendation we got a side of cucumbers too. The pita was absolutely delicious but definitely ran out before the hummus so the cucumbers were a healthy and tasty option to finish up the rest of the hummus. The main course of the bone-in short rib arrived and looked and smelled great. The meat was tender and flavorful and overall these two dishes were a good amount of food where we left satisfied but not overly full. The price was pretty average for Williamsburg so I'd consider coming back if I ever can't find a place to eat. read more

Shared the pistachio sticky hun, apple babka, smoked trout kubaneh, and a smoked salmon Jerusalem bagel. All were delicious! Jerusalem bagels are flatter than regular bagels, but very delicious! Both pastries were delicious and would recommend. Toast was also very flavorful and would recommend. Also got a chai latte and sipped a bit of the Yemenite latte, both well done and foam was very thick. Yemenite latte is definitely better spiced than their chai, but both are very good and worth getting. read more

Along with Pastry Chef Katreena Kanney, Solomonov has curated a delicious menu inspired by Israel's diverse culinary landscape. I went for breakfast, and the pastries were seriously good. The beautiful space is covered in plants and light colors, creating a relaxing atmosphere to sit and enjoy a nice breakfast. The Pistachio Sticky Bun was out of this world, and worth a trip to K'Far just to try this flavorful delight. The Chocolate Rugelach and Feta Olive Borekas were also delicious! Their breakfast menu also has a selection of Jerusalem Bagel sandwiches, I got the smoked salmon sandwich with schug tzatziki, dill butter, and pickled onions and it was great. We also loved the Fig & Pomegranate Ricotta Kubaneh. Everything here was delicious, but the service was a little slow so I would say don't go if you are in a rush for breakfast. read more
