Fully enjoyed our food, again. Was slightly disappointed this time that the metro pizza was not on the menu nor did they offer to add hot honey, instead they have you purchase it for $14 of you really want it. (They also could purchase it for the kitchen and put it on the menu as an add on but I digress). It was a craving that needed to be satisfied so we got it and will have it for my every pizza moment, even if not from here. Def made a difference on the classic pepperoni pie. Our entrees were good, my husband wasn't full off of his meal though, the Lobster Girasoli ravioli special (5 pieces btw). Good thing we got the pizza too, but he was still alil hungry. I'm actually not sure if Pecoraro is a holdover from the longtime Italian enclave in this part of Williamsburg or a new entrant, but in any case they serve some fire burrata and superb fried appetizers. My favorite dishes of the evening were the chickpea panelle - far more flavorful than the version I had at Ferdinand's in Cobble Hill, and perfectly paired with a bit of lemon juice - and the fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with white cheese (they graciously customized to skip the anchovies). I was actually slightly less crazy about the rigatoni dish I tried - the burrata was the star of the show, but the sauce was on the blander side. The vibe at dinner time is interesting and eclectic. I'm always on the hunt for a good old fashioned American sandwich, but Pecoraro Latteria was a great adjacent. Apparently most if not all of the ingredients are sourced/imported from Italy! The combo panini and the burrata schiacciata are both quite hefty. The combo comes with a fat slice of mortadella and deliciously salty cured meats. However, the schiacciata was the star of the meal, with fantastic texture on the focaccia complimented by the creaminess of the burrata and juicy cherry tomatoes. The only small downside is that the side "salad" was extremely bitter. Despite being small, I didn't finish it. That aside, I'll definitely be coming back to try their other offerings and grab a Lavazza espresso while I'm at it. read more

We came with a group of 5 and sat near the back at a nice big table, plenty of space which I feel like is rare in nyc, and we sat for long after brunch ended without being pushed to leave which was super nice. I couldn't ask for a better location to host my baby shower. Pecoraro is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always incredible. Their burrata, suppli, pastas, and pizzas make me feel like I'm back in Italy. The burrata is made in-house and is so fresh. It is our first recommendation for out of town guests. For my shower, the owner worked with us to design the menu so there were options for guests to choose from that took dietary restrictions into account. We were also able to close the restaurant for a private event to accommodate our large group. They made us feel like VIPs. We had beautiful passed appetizers and a special drink. The staff are wonderful and made sure everyone had what they needed. They were easy to coordinate with to bring in our own decor for the tables to add to the atmosphere. I highly recommend whether you want a date night or to host a private event. read more

So glad I traveled slightly out of the way to this little shop that's hidden between Williamsburg and Greenpoint. It's half restaurant, half coffee shop/deli style. It's a very cute and charming spot that I definitely recommend for casual lunch. It also has a full bar! They pack a lot into the small space. Only missing a star because Jack of all trades... master of none :) It's an amazing multi use space but because of that, it doesn't *exactly* feel like a restaurant, maybe more like a casual cafe? I had the pleasure of hosting three separate bridal/baby showers at Pecoraro Latteria over the course of the past year. It probably sounds crazy to use the same venue three times, but after hosting the first shower, there was really no sense in going anywhere else. We had approximately 50 people each time and had the entire restaurant to ourselves. The food was the star of the show. This wasn't a typical shower menu where you get some forgettable, perfunctory meal. The food was more akin to what you'd expect for a special occasion date night. We had passed hors d'oeuvres for the first hour, followed by a three course sit down meal, and then coffee and dessert. I worked with Claudio to come up with the menus, he was wonderful and put great care into every detail. Our guests included older, picky ladies right from Italy, and they unanimously gave the food a five star review, it was well worth the trip to trendy Williamsburg for them. The service and cocktails were excellent as well. Overall Pecoraro Latteria is a terrific place to host an event, a breath of fresh air from the usual catering hall. read more

I spent hours trying to find a special italian restaurant for my sister's birthday dinner and as soon as I saw this place, I knew my search was over. It went above and beyond my expectations. The atmosphere is so pleasant - they sell specialty groceries in the front, which was fun to peruse while I waited for my group. Our server was so nice and there are so many exciting, unique options on the menu, such a breath of fresh air from the monotony of italian restaurants I often see in NYC. Lots of veg options as well. Most importantly, every dish was AMAZING. I got the paccheri, which I had to pace myself not to finish in one bite it was that good. We also got the fried calamari, burrata, fettuccine with bolognese and the fusilli with pesto and shrimp. Plates were licked clean. You could taste the freshness of the ingredients. Hands down one of the best Italian restaurant I've been to in New York (and I've tried a lot)! Amazing food, relaxed casual vibe and friendly neighborhood service. Perfect, simple menu- they do what they do well: pastas, pizzas, and some other light fare. I've been on several occasions and the best dish in my opinion is the Paccheri pasta (regularly get it without the sausage as well). For pizzas would highly recommend the Leonard St (a divine pesto pizza) and the Margherita Estiva. The cheese is incredible, dough thin and the perfect balance of crisp and chewy. Other recs: Fennel Salad. You are missing out if you don't try one of their delicious desserts, the chocolate mousse (special not on the listed menu) is divine- mouth watering, tear inducing good. The limoncello mouse a close second, but don't sleep on the pistachio cake if that's up your alley. All the staff are super friendly- trust their recommendations and feel free to explore the menu! This place is a short walk from the Graham Avenue L station. I had the Chicken Milanese Panini and thought it was extremely good for the price ($16), very fresh ingredients and good bread. I ate at the counter and the staff gave great service, especially when it came to explaining the menu items. Stopped in to this new shop for a quick pannini to go. It's very cute and they also offer homemade pasta, cheese, charcuterie and even some packaged goods. I ordered the pollo panini, it took them about 15 minutes to prepare which is probably tad bit longer than normal since they had to get some fresh chicken.
