This place is great! Everything our family has tried (which is more then half the menu) has been amazing. They even make their own hot sauce. Also I had to brung food for my baby and I asked them to warm it up thinking they would just bring me my heated up Tupperware BUTTTT they put in a bowl with a spoon for me! While here on vacation, my family and I have been to a different place every day to grab a bite to eat for breakfast. This place is amazing. We came back here again after a good first experience. The food is outstanding, I recommend the key skillet. It comes with a variety of options, and was my favorite breakfast I've had on this trip so far. Service is good, the food came out faster than expected with a party of 5. Music inside consist of good classic music In regards to COVID- there are not too many guidelines in place for the customer, (which doesn't bother me) but the servers are wearing masks. Food wasn't great, something about it was off. They cook the beans in bacon grease which was off putting. The Chilaquiles were mediocre but I think the beans threw us off so it was hard to enjoy the rest of the meals. This family own restaurant is the best. You cannot go wrong with anything you order. We come from Homestead to eat here on the weekends. We cannot get enough of this place. It does get very crowded. A charming restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. They offer both American and Mexican food. Our waiter was very welcoming and courteous. The venue has a very relaxed atmosphere and there might be a small wait before you receive your food. We ordered the shrimp enchilada with black beans and the Island Burrito. The food was excellent: I normally expect Mexican food to be heavy and very cheesy, but the food was well-balanced and felt just right. I especially like the mola sauce on the shrimp enchilada and the scallops in the Island Burrito. For dessert, since we were tired of always having Key Lime pie, we tried their orange and mandarin cake. Just like the entreé, it was delicious. The cake was sweet and fluffy, but did not feel too heavy. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Keys Bite. This year I had the blackend mahi tacos, one crunchy and other two soft with a side of beans and rice. My friend had the fried fish sandwhich with potato salad, which was also delish!! After previously viewing another yelper I order a Spanish version of the bloody (Can't remember name) either way it was gross and lookee nothing like previous picture but waitress was kind enough to remove from bill. Dessert was key lime pie again not a fan but I will indeed try it. I must say I was quite impressed, not your typical key lime pie. Umm more of a mousse. Friend loved it and ate every last drop. We went to Keys Bite for Mother's Day and had a really great visit. Everyone absolutely loved the food. The drinks and food came out in good time even though it was really busy. I do t know how this place has so many good reviews. The food was just okay and extremely overpriced. A kids cheeseburger was $9!!! A fried fish and French fry basket was over $18. The conch fritters were frozen, not fresh. Save your money and try something else. read more

Don't let the simple inside deter you. There was very friendly staff here. I ordered the chicken wing basket with sweet potato fries. The fries were good, as it is very hard to mess up sweet potato fries. The wings were a good size, and the sauce tasted like it was cooked into the breading on the wings (which is what happened at another restaurant here in the keys.. I wonder if its a secret cooking technique to get the customers coming back -- and if so, its working). The seared ahi was a good appetizer to start the meal off with. The mimosas were pretty good, but tasted not exactly chilled.. which would've enhanced the drink. The hibachi tastes just like it does at Japanese restaurants that offer this menu item. The lighter sauce poured all over the rice, noodles, meat and veggies makes it a delicious dish. I was not a fan of the salsa.. I prefer non chunky salsa, and this was very chunky salsa - more chunky than a pico de gallo type. read more

I order the biscuits and gravy with bacon, my wife had cheese grits and pancakes, daughter had waffles, son had a Philly cheesesteak, other son had pancakes and scrambled eggs. Let me start by saying this- best biscuits and gravy I've ever had, and I'm picky about my biscuits and gravy. What surprised me is that they didn't really use biscuits- they used these crispy, buttery, Cuban style tostones. I damn near locked the plate. The bacon was amazing. Super smoky and just the right amount of crisp. My daughter claimed that they were the best waffles she's ever had. My son said the cheesesteak was amazing. Pancakes were awesome too. I tried the sauce from my boyfriend's breakfast the day before and decided to give them a shot today. I was surprised they had the vegetarian option and pleased to hear they could do the eggs over hard. My husband ordered the egg combo with the smoked sausage. He enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and the food came out rather quick. We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful morning with our breakfast. They had Mexican breakfast was on the menu and although we did not order one of the dishes, it looked good when the people next to is ordered huevos rancheros. Went on a Friday night after thanksgiving and there was only one other table. The service was quick and the waiter was attentive, but not overly-so being that it was only two tables. The outdoor area is cute, has twinkle lights and a tiki hut. Sets a typical Key Largo vibe. I was able to take my dog, as long as we sat outside - which is where you want to be anyway. The nachos were our favorite part of the meal. They were great! The calamari was good too. We had one of the chicken sandwiches and it was good but I'd probably order something different next time.
