The Lamb kebab sandwich is perfect (on pita skip the "homemade bread") The owner and staff are always very friendly so thats a plus too. read more

The hot sauce is really frickin' good. The meats are good, but be prepared for your meat to be about 10% of your dish: the other 90% is white rice, raw onions and shredded ice burg lettuce. I would probably order it again, mostly because it's the only option for this cuisine in the 'hood. But be warned about the lentil soup! There is not a single lentil in it. It tastes like salt and pepper water. It is seriously the worst "soup" I have ever had. It's like they took a teaspoon of residual bean juice out of a can of lentils....then added water and pepper. read more

The only reason I give this a 1 is because I have to give it something! I ordered my food, quoted 35-45 minutes. Went to pick up my food, and they gave it to someone else! He yelled at me and told me there was nothing He could do...????!!! What!!? How about remake my food? Are you kidding me!? Long story short, I never got my order! Worst customer service ever! I will never order from there again, and I will tell everyone I know to avoid them! The absolute worst! read more

This place is fantastic. I felt bad enjoying it so much without leaving a good review. I order delivery from this place whenever I hate myself and give up on life. Not b/c the food is bad for you; quite on the contrary I'm confident it's healthier than most, I just feel guilty not cooking or shopping. Anyways, this place always comes on time. They are fast. The hot foods are hot. The cold foods are cold. The delivery person is usually pretty nice and not a total asshole. I keep coming back for the red lentil soup and the chicken soup. Both are just divine. I always order enough to have some for breakfast as well. The baba ganoush is one of the best I've had. It's smokey, and creamy; and just downright delicious. The kebab platters here are also delicious. Perhaps my only gripe would be that their hot sauce is weak sauce. But luckily I buy Mamoun's hot sauce to go. This is one of the few good places on Seamless. Always start here on your delivery quest. read more

Great price for great food. Honestly my experience there was overall good. I got to meet the owners and they are very loving and caring people. Overall a good time spent. read more

A small lamb gyro for $8 turned out to be an awesome lunch. Plenty of wonderfully seasoned and roasted lamb carved off of that all-too-familiar but wonderful meat cone, lightly grilled tomatoes and hot peppers, onions, red cabbage, warm pita bread and rice. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking to eat like a king for under $10. read more

I eat here at least once a week for lunch. I love this place, the food is delicious, the falafel is fresh, everything is really really tasty. The kazandibi is awesome. I could just list everything they make with a superlative next to it, but you get the idea. The guys there are super, super cool too. When I'm in the area outside of work I'll always be happy to stop in for a bite. read more

Way overpriced for what you're getting and the food is mediocre at best. Their lamb chops are among their worst dishes yet the most expensive. Arrived cold and very chewy. I felt chewing on a bicycle wheel, and the meat had little to no taste at all :( Whichever plate you end up with, 60% of it will be stuffed with lettuce, onions and pickled cabbage, 30% rice, the rest is meat. The $26 dish I ordered (tax and tip included) cannot possibly cost more than $3 to make at home. Be smart. Read the reviews. read more

The best falafel i have had in a really long time! Super yummy, and good service (a bit slow, but they were super busy, so understandable!) Go there, so good! read more

NOTE: I don't eat red meat, love chicken, obsessed with eggplant. But have otherwise tried almost everything else on this menu. Delivery only, usually ordering through a delivery website. 3 stars for the food, in that its as good as it gets for Turkish in this part of town. 1 star for service. They have admittedly screwed up my order maybe three out of ten times or so, but I call and they re-send the delivery guy with the correct order immediately. And theyre in BK and Im in Queens! Except this last time. I called because I purchased the chicken mixed grill, and I received the lamb mixed grill. Ew. I called, and the old man argued with me a bit, because he SWORE it was my mistake, like I clicked on the wrong thing. But turns out the online menu made a mistake, there are two items with the same name, just $2 diff. The old man said he would research it and call me back. I was pretty sure I was getting screwed and was planning to prank call him all night, but thankfully I didn't have to cuz he actually called back and agreed it was not me, it was the online menu. He said he would send over the right order. But then I received a call from the online delivery service. They said the old man demanded payment for the re-order. So they made me re-order my real order online and then use a couple of gift cards they gave me instantly to pay for it. This all happened over a 2hr period, at around 11pm. Cuz theyre open AND DELIVER later than other places. Ahhhh sweet New York City. Just so much fight in you still. read more

We order Ketane frequently on Seamless and they are fast, efficient, and serve some really good food. Their kabob platter is juicy and has great spices and flavoring. The eggplant dishes are good and their lamb gyro, chicken kebabs, and Doner Kebab are all generous. New York lacks good kebabs and this is a reliable option when you are in the mood. read more

Delicious casual place in the neighborhood. Great gyros, falafel and crispy spinach & feta rolls. Service was great and lots of outdoor seating. Happy to have it nearby! read more

3/5 stars for delivery. The food is decent but the meat is sometimes overcooked. I ordered again the other night to give it another chance, but the lamb was super dry, a little burned too. The shriveled up protein made the pieces even smaller. Also, the borek was incredibly salty and super soggy. Like, wet french fries. The rice is always good. read more

I had a lovely leisurely outdoor lunch on a very hot day. Attentive service, delicious food--highly recommend!

The food is good- service, well- not so much. We order from there frequently, but mostly because its close. At times when I've asked for pick up, the food has been randomly delivered elsewhere. Probably 2 times out of 3 orders are incorrect. It is incredibly frustrating. The food is good, but either the follow through or the order taking need to improve. Also, there is a really old guy there who is mean. read more

I would really give it 4.5 starts, but this is one of the best delivery places for sure. The lentil soup is great, and pretty much everything we have ever ordered has been awesome. Im middle eastern, and I approve this message... read more

I ordered through Seamless. The food came fast enough for a Saturday Night, and was hot-ish. The rice is really good and the meet was not to dry. I went for the lamb plate. I took the large plate and honestly, I'll have left overs for tonight's dinner. Which is great! With an order of fries (that wasn't smart, don't order fries for delivery!) and tip, about $20. This is great considering the other options in Long Island City. Although this place didn't blow up my mind, it was good, fresh and much better than other Long Island City delivery options. One suggestion : They should increase the size of their little white sauce (looks and taste like Tzatziki). The cup was too small and I wanted more!!! :) read more

The food here is consistently great. We've tried a bunch of stuff and everything has always been really fresh and really tasty. The homemade pita bread is amazing. read more

Simply Excellent! ****** 6 Star rating ****** I live across the street and have been coming here 2- 3 times a week, since they opened. I love their chicken gyro combo plate. Generous portions, fair prices, side rice, salad, and pita bread. It's the killer meal if you want to eat healthy and tasty. Also, their vegetarian dishes are incredible. Truly incredible - the baba ganoush and hummus are especially good. The best thing however is their baklava ! Don't miss it. You could fly to the Middle East and you still won't find anything that's better. World Class! I primarily get take out. The vibe of restaurant is more a lunch spot than sit-down restaurant, but everyone there is super friendly, so even if you eat in and (watch turkish soccer on the tv) it's totally worth it. Enjoy. read more

We ordered via Ubereats Fish and meats were all dry and a bit tasteless Falafel was ok a bit undercooked in the centre(doughy) sauces were watery Salads seemed a bit too limp and dull in colour It was a tummy filler at an expensive price I imagine the in house experience might be better read more

Awesome spot! There are so many options- I had the harira soup which warmed me on an extremely cold evening. There is a nice, colorfully painted eating area in the back where you can hang out and talk as long as you want. I also enjoyed the spinach and cheese cigar shaped snacks. Fun to find this place int he middle of a Polish neighborhood. read more

Delicious and cheap. Try the Chicken Shish Kabob Platter or the Vegetable Casserole for a giant filling meal. They're one of the best places for reliable, quick delivery. Not a particularly great place to dine-in, it's like a greasy spoon diner in the back. Bonus tip: Kestane (pronounced "KES-tah-nay") means chestnut in Turkish! read more

Well it's close, it's open long hours, and it's cheep and tasty! The gyros are good. A lot of meet, good portion of vegetables and tasty pita bread. Even my sister (who doesn't like lamb) said that lamb was good :) Inside there are couple of tables, from what I could see there know their regulars. Nice place close to home. read more

This place is my comfort food for take away. I always order the lamb gyro (doner) in pita which tastes good, comes in a really decent size and is fairly priced. They usually deliver on time. The reason I am not giving 5 stars is because once I ordered adana and the size of meat inside the wrap was a quite disappointing. read more

Great Greek (delivery) restaurant... We've ordered from the restaurant a few times now and each time have really enjoyed the food! The hummus is great (not too salty with good chickpea/spice tang) and comes with plenty of warm pita bread (4-5 rounds). The chicken gyro, chicken adana, and chicken kebabs are great for those who (like me) don't really enjoy lamb and like a bit o' spice (although none are overly spicy). The french fries are okay, but get bumped up to "yum" when dipped into the red (hot) sauce that comes with every order. All in all a great place to order from! It bears mentioning that, unlike most Williamsburg and Brooklyn delivery restaurants that deliver in an hour or more, this restaurant usually delivers in 30-ish minutes. read more

Everything taste great in here especially the rice pudding and baba ganoush. Very inexpensive, also.

Friendly service, very good food. Lamb dishes were delish! Falafel was good, salads, pilaf, and lentil soups, all very good. A positive experience all around. Order was confirmed immediately and was filled in 15 minutes. It took about 30 minutes for delivery. read more

Always excellent. Super consistent and delicious food. The owner is awesome. My favorite lunch spot in the neighborhood.

Excellent lamb kebabs - some of the best I've ever had. Shepard's salad on point. Well done.

Best place ever!! Food is always consistently great! I've never been let down. Delivery is always on point. These guys are my go to !

I had to change my review from 5 stars to 3 stars, unfortunately. I used to love this restaurant and their food. I predominantly ordered online thru Grubnub and my experience was excellent. But since 2016 or so, this place lowered quality of food and increased the price. I can understand the high rent, etc., etc., but all our local businesses deal with these tough issues. This is not how you get loyal customers (but giving less for more)! I also had a problem with the owner while speaking over the phone. I called to ask why my bill went up significantly and the man just brushed me off in a rude way. The Middle Eastern cuisine for me is not just delicious food, but friendly customer service, warmth, generosity. I am sorry to see this place to go down. As someone famous once said (I afraid it was Lenin.. hey, at least it wasn't Stalin :), when you reject something, you have to offer something else (better). I can recommend these Middle Eastern places in Williamsburg (ordered from cheap to more expensive): Oasis, Kabob Shack, Dar 525 (2 locations), La Goulette. First two are great for quick fast-food-type orders. Dar 525 is probably my favorite right now. It is owned by a Syrian man (I think) and they prepare fantastic food. My favorite is their "meat pizza" called Safiha. P.S. I will change my review if they improve their work. However, I am honestly not sure I will be able to try them again soon. read more

I got delivery from this place for lunch. The food came on time and the presentation was great. When I started to eat the chicken, I noticed that some parts of it were under cooked. I tried to eat around the questionable parts of the chicken, but ended up getting sick anyway. Please learn how to fully cook your damn chicken. Unbelievable that a restaurant that specializes in meats, can under cook chicken. Do not come here unless you want to feel sick for a few days after. read more

Definitely a great option if you're craving something more intricate than Oasis's falafel down on Bedford. They do the basics well, but they also offer delicious stuff you can't get from street vendors. Really fresh, delicious vegetarian salads and platters. Very mild and smooth hummus (not too tangy, like store brands). One note: I wish an order came with a tad more pita (the pita-hummus ratio is off). Two people can easily split one kebab, so no need to order two. Friendly staff, and good service if you dine in. read more

I know good lamb kebabs, and this place definitely delivers the goods, and the price isn't bad when you set it up against cart food, which, despite also being delicious, isn't the same thing. The sides that they show behind the counter are also great. Plus everyone there's really nice. But after saying that they'll throw in homemade Turkish bread, which I took to mean the thick kind you get at sit-down Turkish places, they can't then throw in some of those Damascus Bakery things and hope that it'll pass. I would've been happy not having that expectation and walking in expecting what it is, a stripped down east Mediterranean place that really does its job well. Still, definitely recommended. read more

Huge fan of the Doener Kebab stands in Germany, this joint is as close to one as I've found stateside. The Chicken Doener is fantastic, and at $6.50 it is entirely reasonable. I can't wait to go back. read more

For the neighborhood their wraps are really good. Oddly at this place I much prefer the wraps to the pita sandwiches. Anytime I order a gyro on a pita it completely falls apart and I can hardly eat it! The wraps hold together much better like a giant stuffed filling burrito. Regardless, the wraps are slightly pricey but very filling and an excellent late night delivery option. I'll always love this place for how many times I ordered from it, it really brought Middle Eastern to my life regularly after I had moved to NYC from Texas. Thought I have moved on to much better eats these days it still commands my respect as a filling option. I think it isn't Kestane Kebab's fault that the neighborhood allows them to price their foods so aggressively, combined with the fact that there isn't any other Turkish joints nearby. read more
