Hummus and pita

This restaurant has beautiful indoor and outdoor shaded seating. The menu has a great mix of indulgent and healthy food - all delicious. Must try: hummus small plate with pita, chicken shawarma, chicken schnitzel (topped with sesame seeds, yum!). Brunch menu had shakshuka, avocado toast, granola yogurt bowl, also looked delicious. Service was very attentive!

Came here around 2 PM, very very hungry and simply wanted to eat anything. Overall, I would say this place is good and has a quirky vibe, but the prices don't really align for what you are getting. It took around 30 minutes to get seated without a reservation (not bad considering other places were not seating anymore). We were recommended the Malawach and Breakfast pita to order. The pita was really good and flavorful, but the Malawach was very simple and left me wanting more. The feta dip it came with was very bland and light and I felt there should've been 2 eggs for the amount of bread. I would recommend the breakfast pita instead.

I went here for a Sunday girls' brunch and was disappointed. I had the incredible shawarma with a side of pita, and my friends had the shakshuka, breakfast pita, and pancakes. The food was good, but overall, we had a bad experience. The waitstaff wasn't very friendly, and we felt rushed from the moment we sat down. They came over immediately to ask for our drink order before we even had a chance to look at the menu. They tried to take my friend's mimosa away before she was done with it and put down our check as soon as we finished eating. They also cleared our water cups before we got up to leave, even though there was no one waiting for a table. *Additionally, they charge a 3% fee when using a credit card to pay the bill.

Too expensive for what it is. Food was good though, reminds me of food in Israel. Dishes: 1) Shakshuka ($20): nice amt of spicy. The highlight was the challah, one of the best I've ever had. 2) Breakfast Pita ($16): just a regular breakie Sandi in a pita bread (eggs, bacon, avocado) 3) Side of Crispy Potatoes ($8): got 8 big wedges with aioli. It was very good with the perfect amount of crisp w/minimal oil. It is expensive for what it is. 3) Lahma'ajun ($21): on gluten free bread: very good, would come back for this Service: The waiter was a little TOO intense though. We had minimal time to choose what to order and being questioned/judged for requesting condiments. Logistics: -accepts cc -indoor and outdoor seating

I was so happy to make it to Reunion for brunch on a sunday morning. I made a reservation (highly recommend since it is a small space) and the food and staff were lovely. The scrambled eggs were delish and I will definitely be returning for dinner!

Brunch was great in this bright and cozy spot. Our server was an absolute delight! I got the bread w soft boiled egg and it was perfect. Light, slightly sweet bread that you pull apart to dip into the tomato and yogurt sauce. We also got the pancakes. They were not a standout but solid. Our drinks were great. Overall very happy and would return in the future.

So by the time I had this, I had just checked out of my hotel; however, that was not before I made my decision to actually go eat there. Yeah, it was a last minute decision, who cares? Well I probably should have. Why? This place gets so much business and gets so crowded, you will actually be asked upon entering if you've made a reservation to come here! Yeah, me being the totally smart idiot I am did not do this. Lucky for me, I was still able to squeeze into an opening and was still able to be waited on, so we can begin the review in earnest. And by the way, the service here is phenomenal! The employees are nice and very helpful! But yeah, before you come here, MAKE A RESERVATION! You need it! So it took a moment for me to decide what I had wanted for my brunch, but I was able to start off with a cappuccino, and you get a pitcher to pour water into a smaller glass. The way the cappuccinos are served to you by the way is artistic in such a way that you can see a heart to top off your drink. That's how you know they make their coffees and the like with love. So this delightful place specializes in Israeli food which is a nice touch I had not thought about trying when I arrived in Brooklyn the night before. But for brunch, this will hit the spot. So when deciding what to order, I almost went with the pancakes, but as I looked more at my menu, I had noticed another choice begin to emerge that caught my eye: the breakfast pita which has scrambled eggs, bacon, and topped with harissa aioli. Bacon is like the most perfect side EVAR when it comes to breakfast and goes great on a lot of things. The harissa aioli also drew me in because I happen to love aioli as a condiment. Fun fact, I actually use garlic aioli and not mayonnaise or ketchup when I cook a Philly cheesesteak! That's how much you can convince me to try your item if it has a good aioli as its condiment! So yeah, that's what I went with, and might I say, that was absolutely scrumptious! I normally don't even eat egg, but even the egg here was good. Oh, I would also like to let y'all in on something about my experience here that just absolutely made my mouth water. So at a table next to the one I was at, a man there was served this dish that looked to be in some kind of a pan. I actually remarked to him "THAT looks good", and he mentioned that next time I come here, I should order this. The dish I am talking about here is their Shakshuka, and it actually looked good enough that I kind of got jealous of his dish! And apparently, it's one of their best menu items. Okay, that does it! If I ever have brunch in Brooklyn again and get around to making that darn reservation, I'm getting that!

It's a small but quaint space. It's super busy to getting a reservation ahead of time is wise. Or be willing to wait and the host will get you a seat. Went for brunch and the food was delicious. Really high quality and flavorful.

Had a lovely dinner sitting outside here. The menu has plenty of options without being overwhelming. For two people we split the: fried halloumi, beet hummus, Israeli salad, and kebab and rice. Everything was amazing, I especially loved the spicy honey dip the halloumi was served with. The Israeli salad was refreshing and delicious. The bill came out to around $90 pre-tip which is typical for places like this in the area and my bf and I were so full by the time we left. Our server was attentive and the food came out in ample time. I highly recommend!

Shakshuka and Pancake

Between this and Shalom Japan, Jews in Brooklyn can now rejoice in embracing multiple cuisines, and their roots, without compromising much of what us Jews (yes, I am lumping me in here) enjoy, food! Stopping in here on a quiet morning allowed me the flexibility to enjoy two dishes quite blissfully. The menu options offer an eclectic array of Israeli dishes that I know all too well, and combine it a little with some American flair. This is probably why all the food tastes as light, fresh, and refreshing as it gets. I started with the Shakshouka and knowing how it can par up with the Shakshouka in Israel, this would be a tough task. No worries, it is delicious. The eggs mellow out a delightfully spicy tomato sauce and you get a beautiful challah loaf for dipping, but do not discount it as a side. It is flaky and buttery and tastes decent on its own. This dish does need a meat, and the Merguez sausage is the perfect accent to it. Light but flavorful, savory but not overly salty. Two little links of this makes this whole dish a solid four and a half stars out of a possible five. I decided to double up and get the pancake as well. It is more a cake than a pancake, if that makes sense, but it is cooked light, fluffy, and accented by the right fruits. Bananas and blackberries are the correct call. Raspberries and strawberries would make the cake too tart. These keep the pancake sweet but not too sweet to the point it will make it too decadent. I did without the butter though, but put a bit of syrup on them to see how it would turn out. It did just fine. Sadly this dish needs a bit of what I call a performance enhancer or it does taste a bit dry. I award this dish three and half stars out of five. They also offer various drinks; I got a lemonade which had the perfect tart to sweet ratio. I also got a Jerusalem bagel and a blueberry scone to take home for later. These will not have impact on the overall rating as the three things I did eat more than make up for it. The service is also real cute and friendly as my server was super bubbly and the barista behind the counter was very cute, in a northern Brooklyn kind of way. In a surprising twist of fate, I discovered this restaurant is right across the street from Bamonte's, an Italian restaurant I am hoping to try. As a result, I will be back in the area soon. Between this and Shalom Japan, I am rejoicing and thrilled to find the foods I hold near and dear to me, now I will hold near and close.

Wow! what a great place! Saturday, brunch was amazing. Met up with some people and we all ordered food. That was awesome. We shared a special they had homemade nachos that were really yummy. We use that as an appetizer. Coffee was awesome. The pancake And egg sandwich are much better than your run-of-the-mill, pancake and egg sandwich that you would find elsewhere. The shasuka was very good. And I tried for the first time -makawach. YUM. They had a DJ playing music outside that started half way though our time there. (we got there at 10:30 am) There's such a great vibe. The owner of the restaurant walked around checking on everyone. i love the attention to details and great energy. i will definitely be back.

Breakfast sandwich in a pita

We had a really fantastic brunch at Moabet because there weren't tables available at Reunion and the hostess encouraged us to head to Moabet where they were holding brunch and taking walkins. Everyone was really nice, though very busy. The food was really excellent. The pancakes, Yemen fried bread and breakfast sandwich were especially good.

Yes, I sat inside and I do believe 1 table had there dog, next to them and there table was close to the door

However, I was quickly proven wrong. Not only was the service topnotch, but the drinks were surprisingly delicious and refreshing. There's a ton of options which is also surprising considering the tap only format. Upon further reflection of how tiny the bar is, it makes sense why they would go this route. It would be challenging for one person let alone two to be behind that bar shaking and stirring. I also heard there's a back area with more seating but we didn't explore much further than the front bar stool seating. Seems like a cool spot for happy hour or late night drinks and I would definitely return!

Regardless, the theme is nice with everything attributable to their "laboratory" ambience. Everything is served in beakers or similar glasses. It can get a bit crowded sitting at the bar as that's where everyone orders drinks but otherwise this was quite enjoyable. Will definitely keep on the list for HH.
