Lamb Shish Kebab

The food here is pretty standard Turkish food, but the overall experience wasn't so great if I'm honest. We arrived at lunch time on a weekend, and there was no one inside, only one person behind the counter, who ignored us. We walked up and talked to the person and I believe he's a kitchen staff and wasn't responsible for greeting guests and taking orders, but it's almost noon, so if you're not ready for service, perhaps change the times you're open? When you're open, people expect to be greeted and seated, and given a menu, and have the order taken. We actually had to walk up again to the counter to place order. After more than 15 minutes our food came. A waiter-looking person served our food and he was nice, but we would have loved for him to be there when we arrived. Again; the food was average Turkish food, not bad but also nothing to write home about.

I was in a mood for Turkish food but I don't have time to go out to eat during weekday, so I ordered for delivery. I ordered Mixed Grill: Medium Lamb Gyro, Shepherd Salad, Mushroom Salad. it is good verities of meat. Adana Kebab small size but it is pretty good potion. Falafel Appetizer, Arugula Salad, Rice Pudding and Baklava. Delivery came on time and order was correct.

My friend and I love going out to eat lunch or dinner at local places, and this is the first one we've vowed to return to. The space itself is lovely, filled with small touches of a far away place. The staff is bustling, as the space is a mix of dine-in, takeout, and delivery. We both were drooling at the photos of the juicy kebabs, so we got the mixed platter, filled with well seasoned, tender cuts of lamb & chicken, fragrant rice pilaf, salad and pickled cabbage. Homemade bread hit the table with tea, and my friend snagged a potato salad. We ended up eating until we wobbled, and still had leftovers. I'm still thinking about that rice pilaf....

Not bad for a quick lunch- Turkish style. Had a chicken with pita and it got the spot. Definitely will pass by if I'm around.

Was craving kebabs and they did not disappoint. Everything was seasoned and made to perfection! Already recommended this place to a lot of people too.

Pita instead of their delicious Turkish bread. This is what you get if you order through Uber eats buyer beware.

Terrible. Been ordering here for years. I ordered through Uber eats for the first time tonight and this restaurant gave me stale pita bread with my baba ganoush. When I called to ask the restaurant if they were no longer making their delish Turkish bread the woman on the phone told me "not when ordering through Uber eats because costs are too high". We're talking about bread so how can I trust the quality of any of their food if they change the type of bread based on the app you order through. She was very unapologetic and rude. Told me she didn't know who I was and didn't care how long I've been coming there. I will never order from here again. Side note, saw someone posted about food poisoning just three months ago. Not surprised. I threw out my order after my conversation with the restaurant and seeing that review.

Very delicious real Turkish food. Highly recommended. Lentil soup was exactly like I had in Turkey.

The best Turkish cuisine I have ever tasted in US so far. I usually order through their website and my favorite is lamb gyro wrap.

To drink, I loved started with the Strawberry Fields (think spritz!). Every item we tried was delicious: the Hummus, Falafel, Kreplach Dumplings, Roasted Carrots (some of the best I've had), Latkes (seasonal but should be year-round) and their unique take on Babaganoush, everything on the menu is worth trying. Their Frena bread is also incredible - so fluffy and fresh. I'd highly recommend!

I feel like the prices here are too expensive to justify the quality. My favorite thing was the babaganoush. Also, the service is not great. It feels like the staff haven't been trained properly. There were times that our waitress seemed lost and didn't know what she was doing. We had to ask other wait staff questions to get proper answers. Also, don't advertise a special menu on Opentable and give people the option to reserve the menu when you aren't offering it. Came here for latkes and caviar for NYE since it said it was on the menu when I reserved on Opentable. Got there and was told they only served it during Hannuka Hanukkah. Checked their IG and they were still posting they were serving it. Total let down.

The consistency of the sandwiches has stayed the same in all the years I've been getting them. That goes for the chicken gyro too. The sandwiches are jammed with fresh ingredients and drizzled with their home sauce. Either option, and you're good! Make sure to get the fries. Their fries are addicting. Perfectly skinny and salted. Better than Mcdonald's, and we all know those are crack fries, so are these! Remember to get a sauce or get them all. Their sauces are all great. The only bad thing is they need to do a better job hiring people to take the phone orders. The lack of attention and care is why people have items missing from orders hence negative reviews. After the first couple of times that I noticed the pattern, I stopped calling and will instead go inside to order. The place is small, and even though you rarely see many people inside, they are swamped with to-go orders. So do yourself a favor and go in and order too. The wait is short.

There was roasted garlic in the center looked great, but it didn't punch up the flavor as much too much. The pita was fine, but a bit dry and plain. For my main, I had the Israeli Breakfast with a side of pastrami smoked salmon. The eggs were soft-scrambled very well, and the salmon was exactly how I like it--fresh and buttery. I swapped the pita for seeded sourdough, though it looked and tasted more like standard buttered toast to the point that I double-check edwith the staff to confirm it was the sourdough. The Israeli salad was finely chopped and provided a nice balance to the meal, though it was a bit watery and lacked a flavor punch. The labneh with za'atar was thick and rich and good in small doses added to bread or the eggs. However, I think this combined with the other food was the source of the meal ending up being overwhelmingly salty, leaving me reaching for water for the rest of the day. I also sampled the chicken shawarma--the flavor was great, though it was a bit oily from the paprika oil and felt a tad pricey at $28. On a brighter note, the hot mint tea was fantastic, with hot water served over a generous amount of fresh mint leaves for a refreshing and flavorful tea. Despite the saltiness this time around, I'd return to try something else, like the fattoush salad with salmon.

The carrots had some heat, and I found myself gravitating towards the labneh and the ultra smooth falafel. But everything was appealing; you probably can't go wrong here. For my main, I ordered the fatush salad ($16) with added chicken shawarma ($7). The salad consisted of lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, herbs, feta, satisfyingly crunchy roasted chickpeas, and lemon dressing. All of the veggies were fresh, there were plenty of 'em, the shawarma was excellent, and the dressing was bright and zippy. Upon entering, Levantine looks pretty teensy but then you're escorted to the back where there's another dining room. My favorite aspect of the room was the living tree growing out of the floor. However, there were a couple of groups and it got kinda loud back there. The wicker chairs were a bit unwieldy. The staff could've checked on us more but it wasn't a huge deal. I'd go back!
