Rock solid ! And the best choice we've made eating in the tourist trap area called Niagara Falls. I want to give you, the potential Kelsey's customer, a great and informative review but I can't find it within myself to do that. First, the food was not bad at all. Everything was on point and very timely. Add in the extremely nice and helpful wait staff, this is easily a four-star in my book. What knocks it down is that it is the Canadian analog to Applebee's or Red Robin. You'll find the typical "neighborhood bar & grill" vibe and menu here which is short but sweet. The beer selection is decent and forgiving-- good but desires something more. You'll have an overall decent time at Kelsey's. I wouldn't expect my socks knocked off, but it will hit some spot. read more

I should really learn to trust yelp. We were going to go to Yank's across the street but since it looked empty we went here instead. Food was mediocre and service was pretty poor (the manager had to step in to help a couple of times to make sure our waiter knew we existed). Food is pricy, as is typical for tourist areas. For those us in the US it's similar to a Friday's or Applebees. Good location right in the middle of the tourist section of Clifton Hill. There was live music on the afternoon we came as well for the outdoor seating area. Nothing terrible, but there are probably better choices. read more

Went here a few nights ago with a few friends after a photoshoot. One of my friends has Celiacs, so it was hard to find a place to eat with lots of gluten free options, but then we stopped here because it looked promising. Even though we specifically stressed the severeness of their condition, the gluten free burger they ordered came out with fried pickles on the side, touching the burger and rendering the whole dish inedible. They had to remake it, and it turned out fine, but that was a serious blunder that cannot be overlooked. A cool laid back spot. Loved it. Started out with being seated at a booth overlooking Clifton Hill with a nice breeze blowing and music playing. The waitress was nice and quick with our order. We had some nice cold Canadian beers along with the roasted chicken Quesadilla which was delious and even better with the spicy rice it came with. My boyfriend ordered the AAA Canadian Sirloin 7oz steak that came with these great tasting garlic mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Cool spot , great food, decent prices and nice view. Food looks good but the steak tasted like pulled pork. The prices were high but what got me is how they check out. Each person has to swipe their credit card which takes forever because the waiter has to explain to everyone on how to use it. We stumbled across Kelsey's starving quite late one night after many adventures in Niagara Falls. Yes, the service was a slow due to late night. Plus our waitress was new but very helpful and friendly. Yes, we were freezing as they didn't really have an enclosed seating area. Yes, the fries that night were awful and inedible, but fish sandwiches we both ordered were awesome! Awesome, I tell you! We went back the following day for the fish sandwich again which was as amazing as the day before. This time I ordered a fresh side salad and boyfriend attempted the fries again. It was a completely different type of fry this time and much, much tastier and better quality. Hopefully Kelsey's learns consistency is important. Overall, I'm not sure why all the hate. Stopped in here because Yanks was closed for lunch. It's on the corner of Clifton Hills and Victoria, which is dead center to all the Niagara falls Tourism hype, so I wasn't expecting much other than over priced mediocre food. Quite to my surprise everything was really good! I had the beet and goat cheese salad which was phenomenal! my friends had wraps and the fish tacos and enjoyed them. Stopped here twice - once for a drink at the bar and once for lunch. The bartender was friendly and the drinks were good. At lunch, the food was very good - I had a buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and my husband had the grilled cheese and bacon with onion rings. Came here on a family visit and I have to say that it's a nice place to go out. The hosts at the front were very nice and quite understanding when we wished to switch spots. This is an "ok" place to eat. Food came decently fast for being very busy, but sadly the food was nothing to rave about. It was obvious the food had overstayed in the freezer, chicken was hard as a rock, they're fountain pop was also watered down. They also had a "Local" band witch was equivalent of ear rape. But our waiter was this restaurants saving grace. He was very knowledgeable about beers on tap, was very attentive with us and his other tables. So happy with this gem. After a super sub par experience at Rainforest Cafe at lunch, we had given up on having a decent meal and drinks in Niagara. To our surprise we were seated after a short wait on the outdoor patio. The cocktails were very good and very reasonably priced! We ordered nachos for an app, real cheese, melted under a broiler so chips were still crisp and had that great baked flavor. Hubs had a Thai shrimp brown that he loved, I had an apple pecan salad, and my girls had mac and cheese that was homemade and baked (totally delish!), along with broccoli cheddar soup. Service was friendly, reasonable speed, food was quite good for a tourist area. We didn't feel ripped off at all, in fact I was surprised with the overall value of our meal. We were not offered anything in consolation to the food not being given correctly other the ridiculous amount of time we waited. Service here is really bad.
