When we walked in, it looked like a rather trendy sports bar, so i thought hey its a place to eat. Well it turned out to be better than expected. We were seated immediately, our waitress was awesome, attentive, friendly and efficient. I had the wings, and they were just the way i like them, they came with veggies and i ordered coleslaw on the side, which was very tangy and flavorful. The person i was with had the chicken alfredo. This is probably the worst sit down restaurant I've been in the last several years. Food came probably 45 mins on a not so busy night. They forgot a side and an entree. Had to go back and reorder it after the rest of the food was served. My medium well steak came out extra well done. The mash potato was so disgusting I wanted to throw up on the spot. Everything else came out cold and stale. It just doesn't seem like the kitchen really cares for customers food. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. Kelsey's is essentially the Canadian version of Chili's or Applebee's. The menu and ambiance of the restaurant is similar to the American chains. Because of the similarities, I did not have high expectations but I was surprised. I tried the Messy Fish Sandwich and it was very enjoyable and filling. Right in the heart of the action in Niagara Falls, this restaurant had nice outdoor seating and great live music. It was busy at 7pm (not surprised) so it was a little loud and service was friendly but a bit slow. Overall food was ok. My husband had the chicken Caesar salad but it was only so-so. Kelsey's is yet another place located in the Clifton hill area to stop and grab a quick bite or drink during your adventures in the area. The beer selection here is very limited and a disappointment really. What they do make however are great mixed drink concoctions the girls absolutely enjoy (well mine does anyways) The food is ok but nothing to rave about. The burgers are actually rather small and the fries are placed in one of those teenie tiny baskets! I'm not sure but this seems to be the "new thing" with French fries! To me it just seems like a way for businesses to save some money! There's not many french fries that can be placed into one of those things! So I normally look at Yelp before visiting a place, however the hotel recommended Kelsey's so I didn't get around to look at the reviews until I went in. I'm glad I went before looking at the reviews because honestly I probably wouldn't have went. I don't like to waste my time or money. We went early afternoon so didn't get a chance to experience the nice ambiance that others have mentioned. However, our server was nice and attentive. We really enjoyed the wings fried hard and the tomato bisque soup was very good. I had a triple melt grill cheese or something of that nature and it wasn't that great as the sandwich was a bit dry like it was missing something. Also the sangria drink was watered down and not drinkable. I was disappointed as it sounded good. All in all, when back in town we would definitely return for those wings. Stopped by here before leaving the falls, to grab something to eat. The place was packed but we got a nice table (booth for 6) and was seated early. Everyone liked the food they ordered, we had no complaints. I ordered a fish taco (it was an appetizer) and I used a coupon that I had to get the Buffalo chicken wrap for 10$. The fish taco was really good, and I would order it again (they also had a jerk chicken and popcorn shrimp so I would try that too next time). The wrap was good, but I would want to try the messy fish sandwich, that looked really good. The restaurant was located on Clifton Hill so it was a good spot. Also, there was a guy playing music and singing on the patio which was nice (he was good). Our waiter was nice and the service was good. I went here twice while on vacation in the area. The first night I sat at the bar and they had a great beer selection, I also looked at the rest of the drink menus and the sangrias sounded superb! Unfortunately I didn't get to try any, but it's okay. The second time I went I got a bite to eat... I love burgers and they all sounded soooo good, I wish I could have tried them all. I had gotten the 'Park your peppercorn' burger, it was delicious!! My boyfriend got the 'Na-cho Average' burger and he said it was everything he could have wanted and more(if you like spicy, of course, with a layer of jalapeños between TWO burger patties) The ambiance was very relaxing-the string lights inside, they had live music all day & night and the outside windows were open! Thankfully it was beautiful weather to sit back and relax and enjoy the restaurant. The service was great as well. Very friendly and always had a smile on their faces! I'm not one for restaurants in tourist locations since there's a very high chance that they'll be expensive but it was midnight when I first stopped by this place, and after walking up the hill (for the third time that night) slightly out of breath, I needed something to quench my thirst. I ended up having a basic strawberry margarita, which was more like a slushie, but it satisfied my taste buds. I was overly surprised at how friendly and attentive the bartenders & wait staff were. I definitely like the welcome-ness and vibe. They had open karaoke, it can be a little loud in the bar and close to the area where they perform, but they have spacious dining areas to accommodate. The second time coming here I ended up having a few drinks and ate right at the bar. I started out with a 'Two Handed Sangria', I chose the Somersby Raspberry Sangria which was refreshing, light, not tooo heavy, and, the fresh fruit was a nice touch. I ended up choosing the Feta Bruschetta Flatbread as an appetizer, which was off the charts amazing. It was packed with flavor, the balsamic glaze over top wasn't over powering, just the right touch. For dinner, I ended up having the Chipotle Shrimp Sirloin. I was concerned that there would be problems with how I like my steak cooked, I'm a very rare, seared on both sides, completely raw in the middle type of person.. and they got it spot on. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great steakhouse in the area. I ended my fantastic meal, with 'Go Nuts Donuts', deep fried and filled with Nutella - with a choice of either peanut butter or caramel sauce on the side. I chose caramel. They weren't too heavy on the filling, golden to perfection. I would go back just for those donuts. The third time coming here, I ended up sitting across from the bar in the booths with a few friends. They ended up asking to move us because the bartenders who deal with the section were 'busy', and we'd be waiting forever to get service. I ended up getting another 'Two Handed Sangria', this time the Rosè one. It was on the sweeter side, and overpowering, too much going on at once. I ended up just having dessert, Brownie Bites that were deep fried, which were OK, not worth the price you pay. I also ordered the PB&J Sundae, which was basically two huge brownies covered in ice-cream and whip cream (lots of whip cream!). Didn't have any peanut butter taste, and the jelly was about a tablespoon worth, won't be impulse doing that again. Overall, this just might be my new spot to hang out with friends.. Came here in a group and was very much let down. Ordered a Nashville hot chicken sandwich and a friend ordered wings. Sauce on wings came drizzled on top rather than tossed with the chicken (which is superior imo). My sandwich was mediocre at best. I was expecting a run of the mill sandwich and was honestly shocked when it came. There was no sauce at all on the chicken; just some loose seasoning dusted on top. Anyone with even a modicum of culinary experience knows Nashville hot chicken is made with a sauce that is tossed onto the chicken. My sandwich chicken was also very dry and included a lot more cartilage than i expected. The fries were also soggy and had no crisp/texture at all. The patty melt was also a train wreck as thr toast was nowhere near a true 'texas toast'. It was regular white bread barely toasted and more like a regular deli sandwich than a true smashed and toasted burger. After a long day of walking and exploring on Tuesday, all our family wanted to do was to sit and eat! When we saw Kelsey's on Clifton Hill (on corner near Ripley's Believe it or Not), we decided to give it a try as there was live music playing and the establishment itself looked quite inviting. We requested a booth and were promptly seated at one. Our server Ted was extremely friendly, helpful and is definitely one of the reasons why Kelsey's gets a 5-star rating from us! My daughter ordered the the portobello burger which surprisingly was super good! My son got a pizza from the kids menu. It came with a drink and one of those push-up gelato tubes. He loved it all. My husband ordered the Big Moe burger and gobbled it all up! I had the Messy Fish and cleaned up my plate as well. Perhaps we were all so hungry that it made the food taste so much better than it really was, but overall the presentation of the food, the rate at which it was brought to our table, and the portion sizes met our expectations. We also ordered the flight of beer where you get 5 7oz draught beer choices. We had no idea what to pick for our 5, but Ted was knowledgeable enough to help us pick some after we told him what kind of beers we enjoyed. Seeing that the reviews aren't so good here on Yelp, and I've given it a 5-star rating... I think we were fortunate to have a good experience at this restaurant. I'm glad it was, too, because we had a wonderful day as a family exploring Niagara Falls. Having a good dining experience to top it off for dinner certainly was the icing on the cake! read more

We give this place 3.5 stars. The atmosphere is definitely nice and it was not overcrowded. The servers were pleasant and tolerable of our high-energy toddler. Unfortunately the food and drinks are overpriced! We loved the whiskey sours and the $12 wine was delicious but again overpriced. My fajitas were $20 and definitely NOT worth it! Went here yesterday for a late dinner . I ordered Calamari & shrimp there was 2 shrimp on my plate maybe one seriously . :(And the calamari was over cooked . The place itself is nice, has both indoor and covered outdoor seating options, as well as a nice sized bar with big screen flatscreen tv's for sports viewing. We we there on a Saturday night for dinner, and they had live music in the covered outdoor section we were seated in. The solo guy was playing 90's cover songs, so I was pretty happy. Service was very, very slow (even taking into consideration it was a holiday weekend). The food overall was very average. I had the chicken quesadilla and my wife had the chicken tacos. My wife's tacos were better than my quesadilla which didn't have much taste to it. Neither were particularly memorable. Kids enjoyed their mac and cheese with French fries.
